“After a great 4-day boarding with Emilie, we needed a last-minute doggy day care to accommodate my wife's last minute business travel. Similar to our wonderful experience with boarding, the day-care was great with both Emilie and Jimmie. Constant pictures throughout the day including some kisses from our little guys. They love being with Emilie and her compassion shines brightly through their wagging tails.”

“Gnocchi had so much fun with the other dogs, he came home pooped out and slept for the rest of the night. I received Lucia throughout his stay to ensure he was doing well. I will definitely be back!! Thank you!”

“I instantly knew that Dahyana would take amazing care of my dog. She did a meet and greet, sent pictures through the day, and overall was great with communicating. A++”

“As soon as we met Maria. I knew our dog was in the right place. Maria was kind and informative about how she would take care of Isabel and then informed us about Isabel’s day. Maria was a great find!!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Sharon! I'm a retired mom and lifelong animal lover with experience caring for everything from reptiles to rodents to cats and dogs of my own. While I don’t currently have pets, I stay busy helping with my daughters’ three Australian Shepherds, as she travels often so I’m very familiar with energetic pups and structured routines. I offer drop in visits, walks and pet boarding, giving pets exercise, playtime, and affection while you're away. I strength train regularly and enjoy staying active with animals, so large dogs are no problem. Busy with a full time job and need someone to stop in? No problem. Traveling and want a trusted check in throughout the day or night? I’ve got you. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, a mid day walk, or just some company and playtime while you're away, I’m here to help. I’m flexible. You can relax knowing your furry friend is in caring, capable hands. Heading out on a special work trip or vacation? No worries. I offer overnight pet care to give you peace of mind while you're away. Your pet will stay safe, loved, and well cared for the entire time. I make sure that their routines are followed, they get plenty of playtime, potty breaks, meals on schedule, and, of course, lots of affection. You can relax, knowing your furry friend is in good hands - almost like a vacation for them too! I pride myself on being very respectful of others’ homes and treat each pet like they’re my own. You can count on me to be dependable, gentle, and communicative. Looking forward to meeting your furry family! I am retired and available most hours of the day and all days of the week. However many times you need a check in, as long as it is not too far, I don't mind stopping by. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I focus on making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own space. I follow their routine closely whether that’s feeding, walking, playtime, or giving meds, and I always respect the home as if it were my own. I clean up after pets, double check that everything’s secure before I leave, and send updates so you know your pet is happy and in good hands!

“My dog was VERY happy staying with Linda. She was so sweet she made arrangements for another 5 pound dog to come for a visit so my energetic puppy could play with someone exactly her size! She noticed my fur baby was hungry and she texted to make sure it was ok to feed her( she’s a picky eater) and even sent food home for her to try again. I highly recommend Linda to take care of your dog.”

About: I have been blessed with 4 great labs over the last 40 years and recently lost my last one. (Porter) Want to care for dogs without ownership right now. I am recently retired. My wife works part time from home. We live on The Galt Mile in Ocean Summit. I am interested in caring or walking your dog during the day. It would have to be at your residence. My experience is animal care extends from dogs, cats, and horses. I volunteered as a groom on a horse farm for retired thoroughbreds for 3 years when we lived in Saratoga, NY. We live here on The Galt year round. My preference is to care for dogs in the closeknit community of The Galt Mile condos only. I live at the Ocean Summit on the Galt Mile. I would like to limit my services to the Galt Mile residents to include pet sitting at your residence or dog walking. I do have a car and can take your pet to the Vet if needed. Since my proximity will be close I van provide services quickly. I require a meet and greet to confirm I am the right caretaker for your dog or cat. Prefer to be called to ask questions and request service Have taken care of my own dogs during my life a s well as others when I was a Rover service provider in Saratoga, NY. I am now retired and no longer have a dog. I miss the companionship and would like to interact with dogs once again in my life. About: Animals have been a part of my life for more than 30 years, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Growing up, my Golden Retriever was my constant companion and best friend. That early bond taught me the importance of patience, trust, and the unconditional love that pets bring into our lives. Over the years, I've cared for dogs, birds, and rabbits, giving me experience with a variety of personalities, needs, and care routines. From energetic pets who love playtime and walks to older animals who need a gentler touch, I understand that every pet deserves individualized attention and care. One of my most meaningful experiences was rescuing my Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix in 2018. When I brought him home, he was severely infested with fleas and needed extra care, patience, and treatment to become healthy and comfortable again. Helping him recover strengthened my commitment to providing animals with the love and support they need to thrive. I've also cared for my brother's Yorkie during a period of illness, ensuring he received consistent attention, comfort, medication, and monitoring. This experience taught me the importance of being attentive to changes in a pet's behavior and maintaining a calm, reassuring presence when they're not feeling their best. As a pet caregiver, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs companionship, exercise, playtime, feeding, medication reminders, or simply someone who genuinely enjoys being around animals, I will provide dependable, loving care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry (or feathered) family members! Why Pet Owners Choose Me 30+ years of hands-on experience with dogs, birds, and rabbits Experience caring for rescue pets and senior or sick animals Patient, dependable, and attentive to individual needs Comfortable following feeding schedules and care instructions Committed to treating every pet like family Regular communication and updates while you're away I'm currently home full-time, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, or just companionship, I have a flexible schedule that lets me meet each pet's individual needs and maintain their normal routine. I provide attentive, personalized care for pets in both my home and my client's home. I have plenty of open outdoor space for leashed walks and exercise, and I have a friendly small dog who can provide companionship for social dogs. I always prioritize safety and follow each pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and any special care instructions. I am comfortable with crate training and can accommodate crating requirements when requested. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I strive to create a comfortable, stress free environment where pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I have loved animals since I was a child, watching Discovery Channel and National Geographic. I adopted my dog, Coco Chanel, when she was 4 months old and she is now 13 years old. I began studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine right out of high school, but opted to follow my artistic endeavors in music. I addition to the great number of dogs I’ve boarded/walked and cats I’ve done drop in visits with, my experience is very personal, as it has just been my dog Coco and I for quite some time. Coco was very timid and frightened when I first adopted her and she has gradually come out of her shell, with patience and love. I would love a chance to care for your precious family member and I can guarantee a stay filled with love and compassion! I’m home full-time. If I’m out, it’s typically less than 8 hours. I work minutes from home, so I can always do a drop in to check up. All boarders have free range of my home, including a gated patio (with supervision)! A/C is always on and they always have access to the kitchen for water and food.
“My highly recommended to this awesome people Anastasia and Vadim! They take care of my dog for 2 days ,they send pictures every 1-2 hours, they walking with my puppies and playing with her!! They are the best!!”

“It’s always hard to leave Nuggs, specially with someone I don’t know, but somehow with Amelia he was incredibly fine and on the second time we took him he didn’t even look back just walked right in, and that tells me that he had a great time and was well taken care of, and that makes me happy! Amelia is professional and pleasant do deal with. Totally recommend Amelia!”

About: I've always had a deep connection with dogs. I bring a very calming canine energy, and trust is gained quickly. Anyone who has a dog(s) and knows me well will ask me to sit for them when they can't provide the care their dogs need. When I retired from my successful 45 year sales career, I had planned on getting a dog. As it's turned out, my friends and neighbors with dogs have kept me very busy. And it's been the most fulfilling and gratifying chapter of my life. I just have an innate ability to connect with dogs and what I give to them, they give back to me. It's been a very rewarding time in my life now that I get to do what I love best: to be surrounded with canine company. And I can unequivocally and honestly say I'm very good at it. As I said, I'm retired and can easily accommodate the needs of prospective clients. I'm readily available and am very flexible with you and your dog's schedules. I live in my recently renovated condo in the very upscale community of Coral Ridge in Fort Lauderdale. It's a small two-story residence easily accessible to lush parks and magnificent estate homes. We have excellent security with a Neighborhood Watch and private 24 hour Coral Ridge Patrols. Patrolling

“Gheraldine is very sweet! She was attentive in understanding Bruno’s needs for the day, and when I received my card at the end of the day, my dog was well looked after. Thank you!!”

“Karlee was the sweetest and such a huge help taking care of my our new puppy at short notice. She was able to pick him up and drop him off saving me extra time on an already chaotic schedule 😅”

“Benson looked very comfortable in his day care photos and was so happy to hear he was well behaved with Porscha and Applejack! I would definitely work with Billi again”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by them, and now I care for 8 of my own—1 dog, 6 cats, and a bearded dragon. My pets are truly my whole world. I have experience with animals of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring special care. One of my cats had diabetes, and I lovingly administered insulin twice a day, along with other medications. I understand how much your pets mean to you, and I treat every animal I care for like family I only work on the weekends, which gives me open availability and full commitment to caring for your pets with lots of love and attention. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, they’ll receive plenty of love, affection, and exercise. I have a large grassy field right next to my apartment or I use the sniff spot app where I can rent a backyard for as long as I need where dogs can walk, run, and play and even swim to burn off energy! If your pet is staying in my home, I do ask that they be crate trained, as I have cats and want to ensure everyone’s safety if I need to step out. That said, if your pet is well-behaved around cats, I’m completely comfortable letting them sleep outside of the crate and making them feel right at home.
“We are beyond grateful for the wonderful care and love you showed our two dogs today! Your kindness, patience, and genuine affection made such a positive difference, and it truly put our minds at ease knowing they were in such capable and loving hands. Thank you for going above and beyond to make sure they felt happy and comfortable. We appreciate you so much and feel lucky to have found such a fantastic dog sitter!”

“Page was awesome! Very Zen personality, who keeps in touch during Chapo’s stay with updates of what Chapo was up to. Also took Chapo to play fetch and several walks. He came home tired! We will be reaching out to Page again to watch Chapo. Thank you Page!”

Samantha was awesome! She responded to my booking request within minutes and asked me some questions to make sure Lola was going to be well taken care of during her stay. She also took her for a couple walks during the day and kept me informed and even sent a couple pictures. Her dog Bailer is a sweet boy and they got along great! Thank you Samantha!! 🩷

Albie had a wonderful two days with Fiona. We'd just arrived in USA after emigrating and needed a dog sitter who would be able to give Albie the attention he needed and deal with his high energy, Fiona was excellent and Albie was dragging me into her house on the 2nd day! xx

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
