About: I have owned dogs my whole life. Right now i own a extremely friendly cat. But I have dog care experience my whole life. Your dog will get plenty of play and exercise when they are with me. I live whiten short walking distance of two really nice parks. I am a huge animal lover so now need to worry about your pet not getting any affection from me. I have a large apartment so when your pet is inside my home it will have plenty of roaming room or plenty of carpet space for a nap. I am extremely flexible with times and dog sizes. I would love to do anything from board your dog to walking it to watching it in your home. I am a trustworthy people person. With me you will know your dog is safe and well cared for. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my weekly routine because I’ve built my schedule to be flexible and dependable. I make time each day to care for pets, whether it’s early morning check-ins, afternoon walks, or evening feedings and playtime. I prioritize reliability and punctuality, so I carefully plan my week to ensure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. Since I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, pet sitting is more than just a job—it's something I look forward to every day. Whether I'm working part-time or around school or other responsibilities, I always make sure to maintain consistent availability and communicate clearly with pet parents to meet their needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priority is to maintain a safe, clean, and comforting environment that helps pets feel relaxed and secure in their familiar space. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication routines, walk times, play preferences, and any specific behavioral needs. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection (if they want it!) while also respecting their boundaries and personalities. I keep the home tidy, clean up after the pets, and ensure food/water bowls, litter boxes, and sleeping areas are fresh and organized. I also provide regular updates and photos to keep pet parents informed and reassured. Trust and respect are important to me—not only for the pets but also for the homes I’m welcomed into. I treat every home with care and professionalism, just like I would my own. Unfortunately I can not care for pets in my own at this time because I live in a tiny studio apartment.
“I instantly knew that Dahyana would take amazing care of my dog. She did a meet and greet, sent pictures through the day, and overall was great with communicating. A++”

About: Hi! I’m Sharon! I'm a retired mom and lifelong animal lover with experience caring for everything from reptiles to rodents to cats and dogs of my own. While I don’t currently have pets, I stay busy helping with my daughters’ three Australian Shepherds, as she travels often so I’m very familiar with energetic pups and structured routines. I offer drop in visits, walks and pet boarding, giving pets exercise, playtime, and affection while you're away. I strength train regularly and enjoy staying active with animals, so large dogs are no problem. Busy with a full time job and need someone to stop in? No problem. Traveling and want a trusted check in throughout the day or night? I’ve got you. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, a mid day walk, or just some company and playtime while you're away, I’m here to help. I’m flexible. You can relax knowing your furry friend is in caring, capable hands. Heading out on a special work trip or vacation? No worries. I offer overnight pet care to give you peace of mind while you're away. Your pet will stay safe, loved, and well cared for the entire time. I make sure that their routines are followed, they get plenty of playtime, potty breaks, meals on schedule, and, of course, lots of affection. You can relax, knowing your furry friend is in good hands - almost like a vacation for them too! I pride myself on being very respectful of others’ homes and treat each pet like they’re my own. You can count on me to be dependable, gentle, and communicative. Looking forward to meeting your furry family! I am retired and available most hours of the day and all days of the week. However many times you need a check in, as long as it is not too far, I don't mind stopping by. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I focus on making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own space. I follow their routine closely whether that’s feeding, walking, playtime, or giving meds, and I always respect the home as if it were my own. I clean up after pets, double check that everything’s secure before I leave, and send updates so you know your pet is happy and in good hands!
“Karlee was the sweetest and such a huge help taking care of my our new puppy at short notice. She was able to pick him up and drop him off saving me extra time on an already chaotic schedule 😅”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by them, and now I care for 8 of my own—1 dog, 6 cats, and a bearded dragon. My pets are truly my whole world. I have experience with animals of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring special care. One of my cats had diabetes, and I lovingly administered insulin twice a day, along with other medications. I understand how much your pets mean to you, and I treat every animal I care for like family I only work on the weekends, which gives me open availability and full commitment to caring for your pets with lots of love and attention. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, they’ll receive plenty of love, affection, and exercise. I have a large grassy field right next to my apartment or I use the sniff spot app where I can rent a backyard for as long as I need where dogs can walk, run, and play and even swim to burn off energy! If your pet is staying in my home, I do ask that they be crate trained, as I have cats and want to ensure everyone’s safety if I need to step out. That said, if your pet is well-behaved around cats, I’m completely comfortable letting them sleep outside of the crate and making them feel right at home.
“Benson looked very comfortable in his day care photos and was so happy to hear he was well behaved with Porscha and Applejack! I would definitely work with Billi again”

“Meredith and her family were great with Buster! So friendly and personable and she took took such great care of him. She sent me updates and pictures to let me know how he was doing throughout and overall just a 5star service. Buster was exhausted after his day there from playing and running around. A sign of a great day for any dog. I definitely would use Meredith again!”

About: I've always had a deep connection with dogs. I bring a very calming canine energy, and trust is gained quickly. Anyone who has a dog(s) and knows me well will ask me to sit for them when they can't provide the care their dogs need. When I retired from my successful 45 year sales career, I had planned on getting a dog. As it's turned out, my friends and neighbors with dogs have kept me very busy. And it's been the most fulfilling and gratifying chapter of my life. I just have an innate ability to connect with dogs and what I give to them, they give back to me. It's been a very rewarding time in my life now that I get to do what I love best: to be surrounded with canine company. And I can unequivocally and honestly say I'm very good at it. As I said, I'm retired and can easily accommodate the needs of prospective clients. I'm readily available and am very flexible with you and your dog's schedules. I live in my recently renovated condo in the very upscale community of Coral Ridge in Fort Lauderdale. It's a small two-story residence easily accessible to lush parks and magnificent estate homes. We have excellent security with a Neighborhood Watch and private 24 hour Coral Ridge Patrols. Patrolling

“It’s always hard to leave Nuggs, specially with someone I don’t know, but somehow with Amelia he was incredibly fine and on the second time we took him he didn’t even look back just walked right in, and that tells me that he had a great time and was well taken care of, and that makes me happy! Amelia is professional and pleasant do deal with. Totally recommend Amelia!”

“Otis had a wonderful time staying with Linda & Frank. He even learned how to walk-up steps and using the dog-flap. He must have had a great day because he cried when it was time to leave! Thank you both for taking such good care of our little guy, Dave & Amelia”

About: I have grown up with pets my entire life and my family has always had at least 2 dogs running around. I absolutely love animals and consider them as part of the family. I started professionally caring for pets when I was about 15 years old and would board them at my house. I have taken care of a multitude of pets from pregnant pets to elderly to baby puppies. I also have had 2 cats that gave birth in my presence and all of the kittens were healthy and weaned at the appropriate times and given to loving families. Currently I own 2 cats and love them so very much! I am an entrepreneur and make my own schedule. I am able to do house-sitting, drop-ins and dog walks at any time of day. I hope to incorporate a long term schedule with dogs and cats! I live close to the Pompano Beach dog park, which is an excellent place for dogs that have a lot of energy and need space to run around.

“Gheraldine is very sweet! She was attentive in understanding Bruno’s needs for the day, and when I received my card at the end of the day, my dog was well looked after. Thank you!!”

This was Teddy‘s first time spending the day at Angela‘s. I was concerned because my boy is a reactive dog and not everybody can understand that. Angela was very patient and understanding, she sent pictures throughout the day showing me how he played with the other pups. I will definitely use Angela again. Her home is very clean and well suited for my boy. He loved her backyard. Thank you, Angela, for being so patient with my boy!

Emilie was amazing! Lots of pictures and updates. We had our two pups try her daycare services today for first time and they had a wonderful day making new friends and staying at her very nice place-super clean and spacious backyard. Emilie is also very easy to talk with , careful, patient and especially appreciative of her careful process to make sure all the pups are introduced in a safe and positive manner . We will definitely be back!

Samantha was awesome! She responded to my booking request within minutes and asked me some questions to make sure Lola was going to be well taken care of during her stay. She also took her for a couple walks during the day and kept me informed and even sent a couple pictures. Her dog Bailer is a sweet boy and they got along great! Thank you Samantha!! 🩷

Albie had a wonderful two days with Fiona. We'd just arrived in USA after emigrating and needed a dog sitter who would be able to give Albie the attention he needed and deal with his high energy, Fiona was excellent and Albie was dragging me into her house on the 2nd day! xx

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
