Cats Vote NO to Boarding!!!

Animals are one of my greatest passions, and I can’t wait to make friends with yours. I am not a vet tech, but I am a doctor, and cats and humans are very similar. I am very comfortable giving medications to cats, and I can spot the difference between something wrong and someone mad. Pet sitting is what I do: spoiling, cuddling, playing, and maybe even caring for them when they are ill. I treat fur babies entrusted in my care exactly how I would want someone to treat my fur baby family, with possibly a little over-the-top attention to make up for your absence. My husband introduced me to the world of all things cat. I instantly fell in love with cats after he showed me how each has such a distinct personality. Once you learn a cat's personality, it's like sitting on the couch with your best friend, having a glass of wine, and talking about fine art. I don't know much about wine or fine art, but the analogy fits. Our kitty family is the love of our life (besides each other :). Our little ones are quite spoiled with toys, things to scratch, and many things to climb, but they are spoiled the most with love. Every time I walk in the door, my first fifteen minutes are spent on the floor petting, rubbing, and checking in with each of them about their day. I have done this with all my pets since I was 14. Caring for our pets is one of our top priorities in our home, just as taking care of your pet will be my top priority. They love us just as much as we love them, and we can tell because of their special bond with each of us. Besides having a perfectly happy cat family, I understand immensely how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pets at home with a sitter. Before you are even in the car, you have convinced yourself that your pets aren’t going to be taken care of the way you would do it. Rest assured, if I get to meet and care for your kitty family, they will get the same love, attention, and play that I give to mine. If you leave me a list, which I hope you do, it will be followed exactly. I will be there when you need me, and if there are special instructions, they will be followed. Multiple pets, playing fetch, litter boxes, hairballs, abstract art....no problem. Whether they are a Box Inspectors, Ninjas, Negotiators, or a Stylists, we will be great friends. You can reach out to me as many times as you like during your time away. I also have quite the knack for teaching animals to do tricks quickly. I once had to live in a studio apartment with 8 cats and work while construction was being done in my house...for 4 months! I planned out a schedule of daily activities to wear them out, like catnip party Wednesday, chase the string on a stick Friday, hairdo Monday, etc. And then.....a cat that I had fostered and adopted out came back. I found out he had been abused, significantly. I could take him back, or he was going to be put down. I renamed him Maximus, because he’s my little gladiator. When he came back, he looked like a furless chicken wing. There was a lot of crying, and then it was time to get busy. I had to syringe feed him Nutrical and kitty formula every 4 hours for three weeks, until he had enough strength to do it by himself. I had to put antibiotic cream on all the sores on him. This was while we were still in the studio! Talk about plates spinning. He’s fluffy and well fed today. And, all the cats were worn out on a daily basis. Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do for them until you can get them someplace better. That tells you a little bit more about my love of animals. They mean something to me. Whether they are mine or someone else’s, they mean something, and ridiculous amounts of spoiling comes for free. :) I work from home and welcome the chance to visit your kitty. I am flexible on schedule. I would like it to be what’s perfect for you. Your pet will have a blast when I come to visit. We will eat, clean up, play, and have lots of petting and cuddling. I also bring enrichment activities for them for when I am gone. Whether you need just one visit or a set schedule of visits, we can make it work. I look forward to meeting your fur babies. In the past, I have bred, raised, and trained Dobermans. I’ve also had more than my share of rescue pets with all of the love and appreciation they bring. Animals are my passion, and I will come to your house, so your pets don’t have the stress of a new environment along with the anxiety of your absence. Continuity for kitties is important. While I don’t take care of fur babies in my home, because of limited space and a cat who thinks he’s a king, I will always try to leave your home in a way that you can’t tell I was there. Your animals will be treated with the greatest care.

Before meeting with Heather, I had never meet anyone so enthusiastic to care for Cats. She truly loves what she does and it’s not a job for her, She loves and cares for them. She not only feeds them and gives them meds but she play with them , pays attention to them and brings them toys. We are grateful for Heather’s thoughtfulness and dedication.

Heather goes above and beyond for our cats. This is the second time she’s watched Alfie and Suki, and we always feel completely at ease knowing they’re in such good hands with her. She’s reliable, attentive, and clearly gives them so much love and care. We especially appreciated all the photo and video updates while we were away for 15 days it meant so much seeing how happy and comfortable they were with her. Our cats absolutely adore her, and we couldn’t recommend Heather more 🤍

I just love taking care of kitties, and I can be available to you whenever you need me. Our bond only grows every time I come.

Heather can host up to 6 drop-ins per day
I would like to know if your kitty has any particular fears, and how they do with strangers. I have several kitty clients who looked at me from under the bed for our first few visits, but that's okay. When they are ready, we'll meet.
