I’ve been on Rover since 2023, and now that I’m semi-retired, I’m excited to dedicate even more of my time to caring for dogs. When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and relaxed environment. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible — from feeding times and walks to playtime and rest. My dog, Kyle, is friendly and enjoys having company, so visiting pups always have a companion. I supervise all interactions, provide plenty of affection, and make sure each dog has their own space if they need quiet time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow all instructions carefully. About: Hey Pet Parents! I'm a Veterinary Assistant and have been pet sitting for over 20 years. I would love the opportunity to hang with your fur babies! I work from home Monday-Friday, and so will be available to stay home with your pets to provide care, walks, and snuggles for much of the day during the week, as well as overnight stays. Saturdays and Sundays I work at a veterinary clinic from 7a-7p, and so am available for morning and evening check ins, as well as overnight stays. When staying in your home, I will treat it with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I will water plants if needed, bring in any mail or packages, and leave your home just as I found it.

I have a large grassy field right next to my apartment or I use the sniff spot app where I can rent a backyard for as long as I need where dogs can walk, run, and play and even swim to burn off energy! If your pet is staying in my home, I do ask that they be crate trained, as I have cats and want to ensure everyone’s safety if I need to step out. That said, if your pet is well-behaved around cats, I’m completely comfortable letting them sleep outside of the crate and making them feel right at home.

About: Over the years I have cared for a variety of animals, including domestic, exotic, and livestock. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their medically needy animals over the past decade and I am now opening that service up to Rover. I'm not a vet tech but I am comfortable and experienced administering a variety of medical treatments like insulin injections, pill regiments, eye drops/skin ointments, and subq fluids. Leaving town with a pet can be stressful, especially one that needs specialized care. I can help. Currently over all I have quite a bit of flexibility with my schedule. I have my own small business that is sporadic gig work on the weekends. Most events last 4 to 6 hours, maximum 8 hours, and not every weekend has events. I prefer to pet sit in the home the pets belong to. I find that with most animals it's incredibly stressful to move them, staying in their home with them minimalizes that stress. It also allows for easier medicine administration. I like to meet the pets and owners ahead of staying with them, this is to again reduce the stress on your pet when I show up without you as well as to observe the quality of care you are administering to your fur babies.

About: I’ve had all kinds of peta all my 57 years of life’ and promise to treat them with love and care like they were my own. I am taking care of animals full time with the exception of an occasional housekeeping client here and there. I can be available for your babies whenever you need me. Sharon was amazing. My dog (GSD) instantly took to her. Sharon did a great job communicating with me daily, posting pictures and feedback on how my dog was doing. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
