I prefer to care for your furry ones in your home, where they are most comfortable and their routine is uninterrupted. Better for them to be at home in familiar surroundings. I treat them as I do my own pets, with love, kindness, heart.

I ask what their dog/cat routine is, about feeding, how much, when, where, and is water filtered or tap, any medications or restrictions, vet information, any unusual behaviors, how are they on leash, are they okay with kids, bikes, things we might encounter on a walk, where are cleaning supplies, any emergency contact numbers, where are the people going and when will they return, what is their temperment, are they scared, shy, afraid of loud noises, how are they with other dogs/cats in the home, any quirks they might have, what treats are they allowed, favorite toys, games.
A typical day
First we head out to take care of bodily needs then we walk, play(tug, ball), explore the yard, etc .. next comes emotional needs, cuddling, snuggling, pets and rubs, kisses. Brushing,if they like that. I always rinse out water bowls and refill with clean fresh water. I talk to them the whole time I'm there and tell them what lovely and good dogs/cats they are. Then I say goodbye, see you tomorrow, be good for your mom.

Pet care experience
I have been a full time petsitter for over 22 years. My love for animals is why I began. Petsitting is not just a job to me, it's a lifestyle. From Great Danes to Chihuahua's, love them all. I'm especially fond of the littles and giants, they are my spirit animals. Love my kitty clients too. Over the years I've had cats of my own. Different energy but I enjoy both dogs and cats. I can't imagine doing any other kind of work, I love being with the animals and they know it and return that love. Best part of the job.
