About: I have had since I was 9, most specifically dogs. I come from a very animal oriented family, my grandparents working on a forest preserve and raising butterflies. My mom has raised me to save animals as well, which is why we always adopt our animals (and care for those that happen upon us wildly with the help of animal control). We have had an aquarium and axolotls for 6-7 years, naming all of them as they are part of our family too, no matter how small. I have had 5 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 2 hamsters, 1 bird, and 1 African fat-tailed gecko. At the moment we have one dog, Pib, who is 40 Ibs of love. I have also pet sat for guinea pigs and dogs, as well as done dog walking during my semester at Columbia. I have great experience with bigger dogs especially, having a 120 dog just two years ago, Toby. I take care and time with every animal, making sure to interact and treat them with respect as they deserve. I adore spending time and taking care, cleaning up, playing, walking, feeding, and doing special care as well for certain needs. I am currently a part time worker as a youth services assistant at the Northbrook Public Library. I work 1-6 Thursdays and Fridays, and 1-5 the rest of the days. I am off weekends. As stated above, no matter the pets temperament, I treat them with respect. While I love playing and getting to know all animals, I understand some pets prefer their personal space and time, so I understand how to navigate and take my time/step away if need be. I always make sure if the animal is an out of cage pet to make sure they use the bathroom first before anything else, and if any accidents happen I am sure to clean up. I provide all love to every type of pet, whether they love ito nteract or are more individual and just need to be fed and let out. Matching an animal's energy and making them comfortable is the best way to take care of them and work with them!

“Sarah looked after our two cats for a week while we were away and housesat for us, so our animals wouldn't be too lonely while we were gone. One of our felines must be medicated twice a day at very specific times to avoid medical complications. Not only is Sarah confident and comfortable giving our cat his meds, she is prompt and careful when administering his twice daily pills. Knowing that made us very comfortable while we were away. In addition, Sarah's communication style was straightforward and thoughtful. She asked excellent questions and follow-up questions. And when there was an unexpected situation at our house while we were away, she handled it professionally and alerted us to what was happening. I'd highly recommend Sarah to manage petsitting and housesitting.”

“I am so very grateful that I found Tammy on rover.com because she is the perfect pet sitter. I highly recommend her!!! She was affectionate and gentle as she cared for my 15-year-old special needs dog. I felt 100% comfortable with Tammy caring for my dog while I was away on vacation. Tammy has decades of excellent experience with dogs and cats, and she herself is 100% reliable, trustworthy, skilled at problem solving, and has a great understanding of pet behavior, needs, nutrition, meds, etc. Tammy provided frequent texts and detailed reports on my dog's behavior, and she even helped my husband's aunt pull weeds out in our yard. Tammy goes above and beyond the call of duty and exceeded my expectations. I recommend that you make Tammy your first choice when looking for a great pet sitter. I'm sure you will be delighted with Tammy's wonderful care for your precious pet.”

“Jocelyn did a great job with Louie! We would love to have her back and would recommend her services”

About: I’ve spent my whole life around dogs and have over 30 years of experience caring for them, so being with animals has always felt natural to me. I’ve looked after everything from playful puppies to gentle senior dogs who need extra patience and support. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, and I especially love going on long walks together—it’s one of the best ways to bond and keep them happy. What makes me different is how much I care—I follow their routines closely and make sure they feel safe, loved, and completely at home while you’re away. After years in a fast-paced office role, I’m taking a break to reset and refocus after some of life’s unexpected turns. During this time, I’ve chosen to do what brings me the most peace and joy—spending time with animals. Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine now, and I’m grateful to have the flexibility to give each dog my full attention, whether it’s for daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship. This isn’t just a side gig—it’s something that truly fills my days with meaning and calm. When caring for pets in their own homes, I do everything I can to keep their routine familiar and stress-free. I pay close attention to their needs, respect their space, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions closely because I understand the importance of those details. I treat your home with the same respect and care I give your pet, and I always aim to build trust with both of you from day one.
