“Amanda was an amazing sitter for Sally! She was prompt, communicative, kind, and sent the best playtime photos. I felt completely comfortable trusting her with Sally, and her pricing was great. She is easily the best sitter I’ve found on Rover so far, and I’ll definitely be booking her again often!”

About: My wife and I moved to Austin for the running scene, so long walks and miles of movement are what I live for. If your dog has energy to burn, I’m more than happy to match their energy on the trails, sidewalks, and (safe) roads. I’m a former service dog trainer, so I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities, quirks, and needs. At home, we’ve got two bigger, high-energy older dogs, which means I’m used to handling strength, stamina, and the occasional “we’re not done yet” attitude. Whether your pup needs a chill walk, a proper outing, or a legit run, I’ve got you covered. I’m reliable, flexible, and I treat every dog like they’re my own . As a work-from-home running coach, I have availability all day any day and am happy to move my running schedule around to fit running or walking with your pup! I've had and taken care of others' dogs for as long as I can remember! With two high-energy older dogs at home, I know how important it is to make sure a dog's unique, detailed needs are met. As a former dog trainer and pet sitter with over a decade of experience, you can trust your dog will be cared for as if they were my own.
“Lauren was everything we could’ve hoped for in a dog sitter and much more. We were nervous to leave our reactive 10 lbs Daschund with a Rover for the very first time. We’d never been away from him for so long and he is picky about who he likes interacting with. Paddington was anxious during the meet and greet, but Lauren reassured us he would be fine. It definitely was! When we returned, Ton seemed just as happy as when we left him. Lauren was very communicative, gave amazing written and visual updates for each drop-in. The update photos showed us that Paddington loved cuddling with Lauren and felt safe with her. She followed every instruction and really went over and beyond to make sure the house would stay warm and safe for Paddington when a winter storm arrived. Lauren made us feel like we left our little guy with a trusted friend!”

“Annie was an amazing pet sitter! She was attentive, caring, and went above and beyond to make sure my cats were happy and well taken care of. I really appreciated her updates and the extra care she showed.”

“Shannon was great with my two cats. She was attentive in our meet and greet and gave them lots of attention in her visits. It was apparent by how happy and excited they were when I opened the door on return, that they enjoyed her visits.”

About: Pets have always been in my home growing up and I have been working with dogs for over 2 years professionally and absolutely love what I do! I just recently graduated from the “raising a puppy club” as well have a senior dog of my own! I’ve taken great pride in learning what I can about dog behavior and proper care while I manage and work in a doggy daycare. I have seen everything and I’m shy to nothing when it comes to dogs, regardless of their play style, temperament, energy levels, etc. I have worked with dog breeds large and small and I hope to be able to provide great care for your fur babies and love and respect them as I do my own. I work full-time at a dog daycare in downtown Austin. When I am not working, I have full availability to check in on your babies, do dog walking, or if housesitting, will be able to stay at your home full-time and drive to and from work. My work schedule fluctuates depending on staff availability, but overall I will always make time for you and your pet. I know the feeling of leaving your pet with a new sitter well, and know how incredibly important it is to find someone that not just you trust, but your pet trusts as well. Because of this it’s very important to me that a meet and greet with both the owner and pet is hosted before the scheduled service as to ensure trust and peace of mind not just to your pup but to you as well! I am trained in proper care specifically for dogs and understand the behaviors of cats well, as I raised my own kitten as well as cats growing up. I have learned how to read dog body language and behavior to better understand how they are feeling or what it is I can do to help them. This is something that I am very proud of and hope that I am able to use to help make sure your pets are getting the best care possible. It is important to me that your pets feel safe and trusting of me in their space. I will follow provided instructions for your pet, daily photos/updates, and make sure that the pets in my care feel safe and protected while I am there.
“Brand new client and I booked 1-2 days before I needed Antonio. So I had a lot of instructions for him and he handled it without any hiccups and took care of the pups in some ways I didn’t specifically note. Would def book Antonio again. Thank you!”

“We got so lucky finding Allie! I needed a last minute sitter and took to Rover to find one. Allie was so responsive and was able to set up a meet & greet that same day. Skye is usually anxious when meeting new people, but warmed up to Allie instantly - which is always a good sign for me. I was immediately put at ease and felt the trust established. Allie was on top of it and took such good care of Skye. It was so nice to receive such intentional Rover Cards with pictures of Skye every day. I would recommend Allie to anyone looking for a pet sitter in South Austin and will definitely be reaching out again!”

“Misha is an amazing communicator and cat whisperer! He looked after our boys for the long weekend and continuously sent updates. He made sure they had everything they needed which put us at ease. Highly recommend hiring him!”

“Lillian was fantastic! She had great communication and sent lots of photos during each visit, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She was punctual and stayed for the full 30 minutes with Juniper, making sure she had all her potty breaks, food, water, and attention. Juniper was clearly comfortable with her. I’ll definitely be booking with Lillian again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Christine is an amazing sitter! She always takes the best care of my boy when I am out of town. She even accepted a very last minute drop in when I had to go out of town unexpectedly. Highly highly recommend!”

“Simone is the absolute best with my two very large, energetic pups! I know they look forward to seeing her and she has a special skill to get my youngest finicky eater to finish his food. She’s kind, loving and super considerate.”

About: I grew up on a farm in the uk with cats and dogs and all of the animals. I’ve been a life long dog owner and currently have a beautiful McNab called Munro I study from home so I’m super flexible and very present with dog care. I prefer to be able to do a meet and greet prior to make sure we all connect . I prefer clients to have a fenced yard but if not then long leashed walks are also fun! Off leash is good too in the dog parks if your furry friend is good at recall.
