“Brenna, thank you so much for taking such great care of my little ones! Brenna watched my two cats and one dog for a weekend via housesitting. Her rates were surprisingly reasonable, and she was very reliable. We confirmed the appointment a week or so before the weekend she came to stay. She was very communicative all weekend and sent pictures on occasion. I've never had anyone pet or house sit for me before (outside of family and friends), and I was so nervous, but Brenna's quick responses helped keep my mind at ease. She also left my house exactly as it was when I left. I would 100% use Brenna's services again should I need them! She also seems incredibly kind! Thank you, Brenna!!”

“Alyssa did a great job dog sitting Murphy. She provided periodic updates and photos during her stay. She was respectful of our property & left everything as she found it. She also left Murphy some treats & a nice card. We will use her again in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m a 23-year-old University of Maryland graduate currently working remotely in sales. As someone who lives with and cares for two dogs and four cats at my family home, I understand the love and dedication it takes to care for pets. I’ve been caring for animals since childhood, starting with my first cat, Jumper, and have gained experience with everything from kittens and puppies to senior pets. Joining Rover allows me to bring structure to my remote workdays while helping others care for their furry family members. Whether you need someone to walk your dog, provide companionship, or handle special needs, I’m here to help! I’m currently working full-time remotely, so I am able to visit pets most times throughout the day. During the evenings and weekends I am usually free! I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. I maintain a clean, secure, and pet-friendly environment, following any specific care instructions you provide. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, or special routines, I’ll make sure your pet is happy, healthy, and comfortable. Your pet will always be supervised and loved, with plenty of playtime and attention!

About: I have owned pets most of my life. I have cared for dogs, cats, and many other animals. I have been pet sitting outside of Rover for many years. I have a very sweet pitbull and do not discriminate against any breed! I understand the importance of trust and communication while allowing someone to care for your pet! I will always go above and beyond to give extra love to your furry friend, not just take care of basic needs. *If interested in boarding please note that I do have a 66 pound Pit mix. He previously lived with another dog, a cat, and two toddlers. He is very friendly with absolutely zero aggression. He will not stand up for himself. I would be happy to do a meet and greet in my home or on neutral ground. If your pet is not compatible with large male dogs, please do not request this service. Alternatively, I would be happy to pet sit or stop in for longer visits. I work from home part time with very flexible hours. I can easily fit any needed pet care into my routine. I am available for drop ins or walks anytime after 9am. I do not board more than 2 pets at a time. Though I do not personally crate, I will if it's the routine of your pet and the crate is provided. My home is equipped with baby gates and large bedrooms so I am prepared to separate without your furry friend feeling too cooped up, should the need arise. I do not have a fenced backyard. Walks will be given a minimum of 3 times a day. 4-5 walks is my normal routine, though I am happy to follow your pets cues or their routine. My neighborhood is pet friendly with walking trails and lots of shaded areas. I have a deck with a large umbrella and dog beds, perfect if your pet likes to sunbathe as mine does!

“Mike was an excellent sitter for our two dogs. He was very professional but also showed really care for our doggos as they got to know him and adjusted. Mike sent us daily updates and was patient with us when our door lock acted crazy. He gave us a peace of mind while we were away so we could not our trip without a single worry. Thank you Mike!”

About: I’ve had several dogs over the years and enjoyed caring for them. I’m recently retired and looking to match my love for pets with my newly available free time I’m retired and have substantial amounts of free time. This includes weekdays and weekends. I’m also available holidays. In short, I’m always available to take on jobs If you have a fenced yard, I will ensure gates are closed and supervise their outside time. If walking, I will ensure dogs are leashed waked according to owner instructions

About: I’ve had dogs in my house since I can remember! Family friends and neighbors trust me to housesit to take care of their pups and often I am solely responsible for watching my own dogs while my families away. I am familiar with watching puppies as a close friend to mine regularly fosters them and I go over to help as well as my own dogs being seniors and I often give them medicine and extra love and attention to make sure they are okay and comfortable! My mom also was formerly a manager at the Belair Veterinary Hospital where I often visited and helped in any way I could! I am currently a senior in high school where my schedule varies from getting to school at 8:10 am and I get out either at 9:50 am or 11:15 am which gives me plenty of time to head over either in the morning before school or right after school to check on the dog/dogs! I also do have a part time job close to my school, it’s not everyday and is only from around 12 to the latest 5. Other than that I am available whenever is needed! I am familiar with electric invisible fences as well as regular fences, I know my dogs in the past have been sneaky and either dug holes or jumped the fence so by habit I will stay outside with your dog to play as well as just when they are using the restroom. In my house we pick up their #2 in the backyard so I can do that and I’m also willing to take them on multiple walks a day, I’ve walked dogs with harnesses, spike collars, as well as tightening collars!

Lizeth N.
“Finding someone trustworthy to care for our two senior dogs, both with unique special needs, has always been a source of anxiety for us. However, Liz not only met but far exceeded all of our expectations, providing compassionate care, as if they were her own family pets. Liz is passionate about dogs and she took time to understand every detail of our dogs' routines, medications, meal prep and individual quirks. This thoroughness immediately put our minds at ease. We received regular updates, complete with cute photos which brightened our day and reassured us that our "2 boys" were not just being looked after, but genuinely care for with time and attention. It's rare to find someone who treats your pets with the same love and dedication you do, but Liz is truly that person. We returned home to happy, relaxed dogs and a perfectly clean pet area, which was an added bonus. If you are looking for a dog sitter who is not only professional and reliable but also shows an extraordinary level of compassion and understanding, especially for older or special needs pets, look no further than Liz. She is a gem!”

Crofton pet parents share their Rover experiences
Trisha was excellent and our cats were extremely happy and comfortable under her care. They normally are brooding when we return but they are perfectly content. It was such a relief to have someone so good to care for them and we were able to enjoy our trip without worrying. Thank goodness!

Beth sat for us for a long weekend and there are not enough positive words to describe how wonderful she is!! First and most important, our animals loved her and she took incredible care of them! One of our dogs takes it very hard when we leave and the care and compassion she showed for our sweet and sad dog was just amazing. I can never thank her enough for her true compassion. Beth also gave us daily updates and sent pictures. When we got home the animals were happy and the house was in great shape. I cannot recommend Beth highly enough! She did a fantastic job and we will absolutely use her services again.

We felt so comfortable leaving our dog with John. He took great care of Ace and updated us frequently. He was immediately responsive to our booking request and very professional. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a dog sitter, and I plan to request him again in the future.

Serena was an amazing furry babysitter. Lots of pics and videos. I will definitely be using her again.

Elizabeth was great with the pets. She was a natural with them and quickly became part of their pack/flock. She kept us informed and took wonderful pictures of our pets as updates. Will definitely use again!

Amanda went above and beyond to care for mango. She also made sure my chickens were okay. She is very kind and clearly loves animals. I would highly recommend her and plan on using her again!

Caroline took great care of my pets while we were out of town. It was a last minute booking and she was flexible and helpful throughout the entire process. Our dogs were taken on many walks + got lots of cuddles. Caroline had great communication with us as well. Thank you for everything!

Rebecca was absolutely fantastic with our fur babies! We have a cat and an older dog with digestive issues that requires specific care. Usually, we travel with our pets, but unfortunately, this time, we couldn’t. I’m a nervous wreck when I leave them with anyone else because of past experiences and illnesses that have occurred in my absence. Before booking, Rebecca was completely transparent about any prior commitments that might take her away from our home for a few hours. She wanted to ensure that this would still be a good fit for our dog’s well-being. I really appreciated that Rebecca was incredibly kind and attuned to the needs of our animals. She handled them with the utmost patience and understanding. I believe her to be incredibly trustworthy, and both our dog and cat absolutely adored her. I received countless photos, videos, and updates of our dog doing her happy dance, taking naps, and snuggling up on the couch with Rebecca. One day our dog had an upset stomach which is always a cause for concern with her chronic health issues, and Rebecca went above and beyond to ensure that she did everything possible to care for her properly. She kept me fully in the loop and even offered to cook rice and broth for her in case she needed to settle her stomach. I mentioned that sweet potato usually helps her eat again if needed, and Rebecca offered to drive and pick one up so that she could ensure it was a good quality for my dog, rather than me having one delivered to the house: Thankfully my dog finally decided to eat her food and got better in the evening but like I said, she went above and beyond. I would/will hire Rebecca again and entrust her with our fur babies without hesitation. She was simply phenomenal and is a pet owner’s dream come true. Rebecca, Thank you so much for taking such excellent care of our fur babies!

Miranda is a joy to work with! Our pup loves her, and we know Lucy is in great hands when we are gone. She's very responsive and sends photo updates, and we trust her completely in our home.

Was amazing with our pets and provided regular updates. His communication is excellent and he went above and beyond to coordinate with some work we were getting done on our home at the same time. We will definitely use again in the future.

Lauren is amazing and we would highly recommend her to anyone needing pet sitting. A week before Lauren was scheduled to watch our puppy overnight, our puppy required emergency surgery which in turn required extra care from Lauren. She stopped by a few days beforehand to go over our puppy’s care and then took fantastic care of her overnight a few days later. She also gave us great updates throughout her stay! We cannot recommend her enough!!
