“Highly recommend Brittany! She has been wonderfully reliable and caring during her drop-in visits with our two cats. They were well-cared for during our two week vacation, and we love Brittany’s attention to detail and her understanding of each cat’s personality. She provided daily updates with photos throughout our trip and kept things running like clockwork. Thanks, Brittany!”

“Kristen is great! We have her check on our three cats when we’re out of town and they seem to quickly warm up to her and greet her every time! She’s easy to communicate with and very responsive too!”

“I recently used Kimberly from Rover to take care of my dog, and cats and overall, it was a great experience! Kimberly was very friendly and clearly loves animals, which made me feel comfortable leaving my babies in her care. She provided regular updates and photos, which was a nice touch and helped me feel at ease while I was away. My fur babies seemed happy and well taken care of when I returned, and I appreciated the attention to detail in making sure all of my instructions were followed. Overall, I would definitely recommend Kimberly to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Richelle and her son were wonderful watching our dogs. They were always right on time and stayed a long time with them. We will definitely use them in the future!”

“Brittney was great, very communicative and professional, and she apparently even passed the Kitty Trust Test with my cat who usually hides from strangers. Absolutely would recommend.”

“Richie is amazing with our boys. The updates and pictures he provides show just how much they love his visits and walks. We were truly fortunate to have him for the time we did in NC before he starts his new adventures out west. I highly recommend him for anyone needing a sitter or walker wherever he may end up. Good luck to you Richie.”

“Marissa took great care of my Pluto and Damien. She sent me some great pictures when I was away so that I knew they were being taken care of, and they were clearly well fed and watered while I was gone. She is easy to communicate with as well, and she will be visiting my cats away when I am away for a longer trip. Highly recommend!!”

About: I have lots of pets, including 3 big dogs and 1 pit bull, and I also rescue and foster cats. I volunteered at APS for 1 year, where I walked dogs, learned how to handle big dogs in a very stressful environment for them, and learned how to care for certain pet medical needs(such as worms). My home has become essentially an animal sanctuary for cats! I never leave a cat stranded and always take it to the vet right away to address any medical treatment needed! I am good with handling all size dogs but I typically prefer to work with medium-small dogs, and I'm great with handling cats! I'm working a part time job right now but my schedule is pretty leniant! Mornings, night, and midday are all times I'm available to work! Although I mostly would like to do drop-ins, I'm fully able to do house sitting as well as long as the times are communicated a few days in advance! At home I make sure all my pets are fed according to the time that they need, many people have different feeding schedules and I'm able to cater to any of the pets needs. For dogs making sure you keep eyes on them at all times especially when outdoors. Making sure all doors leading to outside are shut, or pet is fully secured before a door is opened. Paying attention to warning signs of distress in an animal is very key. Whether they are having a physical reaction to something or it appears more emotional, having a close eye on the pet assures that they are getting the help they need at all times. And of course lots of loving and play with the animals if that's what the owner recommends! I understand that not all animals are playful or affectionate, but for the ones that are its definitely good to take a little extra time out of the day for some belly rubs!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have had my own dog, Finley, since college! I have all the patience and empathy for dogs who are dog and stranger aggressive, my Finley is one of those dogs. Experience with administering medication and dietary needs. Currently an online master’s student and working as a Nanny in the afternoon/evenings and random full days, looking to fill in some gaps! Unable to commit to long term visits. I have worked in behavioral therapy for 2 years, I understand the power of reinforcement and positive environments! I will go slow and let your dog lead the way, gaining their trust is my priority and I will use all the love and attention needed to get us there!

About: Our family has had pets for many years. We decided to offer our boarding and day care services as a "family" business, and to possible do this during retirement. We are active adults, and still have a teenager in the home that helps with this endeavor, as he is saving up for his first car. I am currently on summer break, and have frequent breaks during my work schedule. Other members of the household also work flexible schedules, thus can meet the needs of most pets and pet owners. We are typically available most weekends and holidays. Our home is pet friendly. We have all vinyl flooring, and a large fenced in backyard. We also have the ability to take daily walks as our road is not heavily traveled. We live off the road, and our furry guests really enjoy looking out all the windows and doors at the squirrels, chickens and other wildlife. Our home is usually calm and mellow, so you your pet cannot handle a lot of barking/noise, they will probably love our home! We do not crate our furry friends, except out of the request of the owner. Although we have listed one pet at a time, we will take up to two from the same household.

About: My family raised me to love and respect animals of all kinds.. but I am not a fan of the reptile family (sorry!). I helped train a family dog during my high school years and became a foster mom/adoption advisor for a rescue in 2006. I have helped about 30 dogs find their furever homes! Personally, I have 5 dogs and 2 cats in heaven, and 3 dogs here with me now. I do provide pet sitting services for friends and neighbors with dogs, cats, and furry caged critters (i.e. guinea pigs, bunnies). I am experienced with dogs of all ages (puppy to senior) and varying temperaments (i.e. fearful puppy mills rescues, timidity with hearing/sight challenges, incontinence) and use positive reinforcement for training. I am currently unemployed, but have worked remote since 2020. I am out and about almost daily throughout the week, but usually not away for more than 6 hours at a time. NC state law prevents unlicensed daycare or paid boarding in private homes. See www(dot)ncagr(dot)gov (slash)divisions (slash)veterinary (slash)aws for more information. When providing drop-in services, I will do my best to honor the requests of the pet parents.

“OH MY WORD!! This was the first time we ever had a pet sitter and Charles was the BEST!! He took care of our PRECIOUS babies all week and posted pictures for us; which was AWESOME!! Your site is AWESOME!! Thank you so much for being there for us!!!”

About: I have taken care of many dogs & cats in my neighborhood since before I was a teenager. I'm not scared of them unless they are aggressive. I love to brush them, walk them, play with them, make sure their fed good & are happy campers! That makes my heart ❤ happy!! I work a full time job so I'm available only in the evenings to take care of your fur baby. Typically I will do week days, occasionally I can do weekends as well if needed. Just ask & I'll do my best to help accommodate your fur babies needs! I will greatly take care of your pets in your home. They are much easier to care for them in their own environment which makes them a happy fur baby!!

About: I have taken care of animals off and on since I was seven years old. I love animals and have had many - in my childhood home I have three dogs and two cats. I have one cat right now but I plan on getting more animals in the future. I love large dogs to tiny ones. Because of my schedule I cannot have a dog of my own - which is why I would love to care for yours when you are busy. This is my way of having a dog when I can't due to school and other responsibilities. It is the closest I can get right now so I would be honored to care for your furry family members. I work from home and my work schedule is flexible so I have the ability to decide when I work and when I do not work. I would love to keep your furry companion company, I have not lived with dogs in a couple of years and I do miss it so they will have my complete attention.

About: We have 4 dogs, a longhair chihuahua who we rescued when he was young, a chowchow mix whom we rescued from the woods as a puppy, and 2 great white pyranese who are primarily outside as guardian dogs. We absolutely love pets! They are our babies and will treat yours the same way! Growing up, we have always had dogs in the household and I wouldn't see it any other way . I have dog sat for multiple families. They are always supervised when together and separated when we run an errand. I've never run into any issues - most of them love all of the socialization! It's so much fun!! I am a stay-at-home mom and will be home full-time taking care of your babies as well as mine! We have lots of love and snuggles to go around! I look forward to hearing from you soon! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me! Thanks so much for checking out my profile! We live on 15 acres and have chickens, guinea fowl, and pigs. We keep them separated from all of the dogs that come visit. Our backyard is now fenced so there's a fenced area for our guests to run around! We also have a lot of dog toys here, so please try to resist bringing toys for your fur babies, I will worry they will get lost! ** My hours are approximately 6am-9pm. If you need to pick up or drop off later/earlier than that, we can discuss.** *if you refer someone to me and it ends in a completed stay, you will receive 1 free night stay for one of your dogs* I'm home full time so we will mostly be here with your fur baby. If we do leave for a playground or errand it's for a short time. I have two dogs of my own for socialization and a crate or separate room if needed if there's a dog that needs a break.

About: I am a true animal lover. I have had pets my entire life (50+ years!!). I also volunteer at animal shelters and rescue organizations. I have saved animals lives...ask me about Luciano!. I know how much we love our pets and to many of us, they are our family and mean the world to us. That is how I would describe myself as well. I'm very trustworthy and responsible. If I make a commitment to care for your family member(s), I will give them TLC as if they were my own. If I had the ability, I would have my own sanctuary. I am currently available to care for your dogs, cats and any other pets that you have. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or to discuss possible arrangements. Best wishes, Arlene I am a newer resident to NC. I unfortunately was laid off from my job during Christmas 2024. Right now , my preference is to work with animals or humans with special concerns. I currently have almost open availability to care for your cherished pets. I can care for other animals as well, including lizards, snakes, fish, birds, bunnies, chickens, even pet rodents! Your pets safety is of upmost concern to me. I will follow whatever guidelines and preferences you have. Written information is helpful. I am extremely trustworthy.

Not only was she a foster home for dogs for years but since moving to NC I have seen her adopt specifically older dogs to give them their best life in their senior doggie years.
