Kimberly was very friendly and clearly loves animals, which made me feel comfortable leaving my babies in her care. She provided regular updates and photos, which was a nice touch and helped me feel at ease while I was away. My fur babies seemed happy and well taken care of when I returned, and I appreciated the attention to detail in making sure all of my instructions were followed. About: Our family has had pets for many years. We decided to offer our boarding and day care services as a "family" business, and to possible do this during retirement. We are active adults, and still have a teenager in the home that helps with this endeavor, as he is saving up for his first car. I am currently retired and work part time. Other members of the household also work flexible schedules, thus can meet the needs of most pets and pet owners. We are typically available most weekends and holidays. Our home is pet friendly. We have all vinyl flooring, and a large fenced in backyard. We also have the ability to take daily walks as our road is not heavily traveled. We live off the road, and our furry guests really enjoy looking out all the windows and doors at the squirrels, chickens and other wildlife. Our home is usually calm and mellow, so you your pet cannot handle a lot of barking/noise, they will probably love our home! We do not crate our furry friends, except out of the request of the owner. Although we have listed one pet at a time, we will take up to two from the same household.
“Melissa was great!! She made fast friends with my Pinky, is very knowledgeable about cats and made some great recommendations, and was quite reliable with check-ins. Highly recommended!”

“Thank you for letting us know about Nala. We took her to the vet today and she did have a UTI ! She is doing good and has her medicine. Thank you for noticing her struggles to pee!”

About: I’ve helped to take care of our dogs since I was 13 and have taken care of Lu guinea pigs for the past 4 years. I love all animals and I am planning on pursuing a career in veterinary science. I am currently searching for a part time job. Right now I am available on weekends and in the mornings and afternoons of weekdays, except for Thursday. I have a fenced in yard for my dogs to run around in. I am available to walk and play with your dog when needed. I am also capable when you are out of town, to visit to feed and let out/ play with your dog.
“Courtney was amazing. Always keeping us updated with pictures, taking time with biscuit, and sending detailed notes! Biscuit throughly enjoyed his time with her and we will definitely use her again. Highly recommend ♥️”

“I recently had the pleasure of having Carlee as our dog sitter, and I couldn't be happier with her service. Carlee is incredibly attentive and caring, making sure our furry friend felt loved and safe while we were away. She followed all our instructions perfectly and even sent us regular updates and pictures, which gave us peace of mind. Our dog was happy and healthy when we returned, and it was clear that Carlee had taken excellent care of him. I highly recommend Carlee to anyone in need of a reliable and loving dog sitter!”

“It was very obvious from our interactions with Haven, that she really cared about making sure our boy was happy and comfortable. She gave lots of attention and love to our pup. We were kept updated with messages and pictures from each visit. Over all a great experience. We will definitely be reaching out again for future bookings.”

About: I’ve been passionate about caring for animals my entire life and have owned dogs for as long as I can remember. Professionally, I have nearly 9 years of experience in the pet care industry, including working at a veterinary hospital and currently serving as the General Manager and Co-owner of a dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and I’m experienced in administering medications, including insulin injections, oral medications, IV fluids, topical treatments, and more. Whether your pup needs extra medical attention, a structured routine, or simply lots of love and companionship, I’m happy to provide the care that’s best for them. Every pet is unique, and I believe in treating each one like they’re part of my own family. From long walks and playtime to belly rubs, booty scratches, and plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure your furry family member feels safe, happy, and loved. My goal is to follow your routine and preferences so you can have complete peace of mind while you’re away! I currently work full time managing/co-owning a dog kennel, but I work early mornings until about 1pm and create my own work schedule so can be flexible! I love every dog that I meet and care for like they are my own fur babies. My dogs personally are spoiled brats and I feel like that is the only right way to dog mom haha!
About: I genuinely love all dogs, and pugs hold a special place in my heart! I own two! Their unique personalities and affectionate nature make them such a joy to care for. That said, I enjoy spending time with dogs of every breed, age, and size from playful puppies to wise senior dogs. What sets me apart is my patience, attention to detail, and ability to connect with animals on their level. I have experience with basic training for puppies, administering medications to senior dogs, and giving each pet the individualized care they deserve. Whether it’s cuddle time, walks, play, or helping with training, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I am an animal lover. I’m currently working a part-time job with a very flexible schedule that I can decide, making me available to watch your pups any day of the week! Whether in your home or mine, your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow their routine closely, provide a calm and clean environment, and make sure they feel secure and loved. I’m attentive, trustworthy, and always happy to give updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

“I'm so thankful to have found Sydney! She came out for a meet-and-greet and my dog faithful liked her right away. 🙂 Sydney listen to what it was I wanted for Faithful and asked any questions that came to mind for her. She jumped right in and interacting well with faithful. Sydney came out during the times that I had given her and even adjusting her schedule to come when it was not raining as to keep faithful dry because she knew this was a concern to me. 🙂 She stayed the entire 30 minutes and was sure to do all that I had asked of her and even took me plenty of pictures, and in all of them I could see that Faithful was very happy that Sydney was with her. I had Sydney come in the evening and the next morning and she went above and beyond all I expected. I definitely will be using her frequently. Thank you Sydney from faithful and I!!! ☺️”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
