About: Like many pet parents, I often rely on friends, coworkers, and family to help check in on our fur babies when my wife and I travel for work. While that support is invaluable, it doesn’t always line up—and when it doesn’t, it can add unnecessary stress to an already busy trip. Because of this, I truly understand how challenging and stressful it can be to leave your pets behind. That’s why I offer reliable pet care services for fellow pet parents who travel frequently or simply need an extra helping hand. My services include check-ins, walking, and house sitting. At home, we have five cats: one 16-year-old geriatric grump and four energetic “crazies” ranging from 3–5 years old. Each has a unique personality, but all share a love for food and plenty of belly and head rubs. I specialize in cat care, as cats are often misunderstood as being “easy.” While some are, others require more attention and emotional support—something I know firsthand. Cats, like people, can experience separation anxiety, stress, and even depression when their routines change. My own cat, Chuck Roast, is a perfect example and always needs extra care when I travel. This has taught me how important it is to understand and respect each cat’s individual needs and personality. While cat care is my specialty, I also have experience caring for dogs. I’m always happy to meet you and your pets beforehand to make sure it’s a great fit and that everyone feels comfortable before moving forward. I know your pet is a cherished member of your family, and I promise to care for them with the same love, patience, and attention they deserve. About: Every dog I meet is a companion full of joy, and excitement. I can't wait to be your canine's next good friend! Experience: At the age of 3 I immediately knew I loved dogs. As I grew, I took steps to surround myself with them. For 3 years in high school I volunteered at my local animal shelter taking all types of dogs on walks, bathing them, and working with them. I learned how to deal with dogs who weren't at their best and who had a wide range of personalities. Then, for two years I worked in a veterinarians office as an assistant due to my undying love of each and every dog. I have hosted dogs in my home in the past here on Rover over the course of 3 years, but now I am operating my fish farm, I am happy to drop in for your animals while you are away. I can give long walks, administer medication, drop in for feeding and litter box scraping, house sit, or farm sit (explicit experience with chicks/chickens/horses/fish/reptiles). I look forward to being a companion for you and your animals. I have a flexible routine on my farm that requires about 2 hours of my time every day. I will fit your animal care around those hours. In my home, my dog lives a life of luxury. I have a philosophy of observing an animal intensely and observing what they may need or want. Each animal has a different vibe and needs me in a different way.
