“Carly did a great job with walking our dog! She was really communicative and left our house exactly how it was before. Would definitely trust her again to come back and care for our dog!”

“Shae was great with my dog. Not only did she take care of him, but she really went above and beyond. She wiped my dogs paws before letting him inside when it was a rainy day. She picked up trash that got blown into my yard from a neighboring construction site. She brought my packages into my garage when I got an Amazon delivery. I would definitely book Shae again.”

“Brooke was amazing with my special needs dog! He doesn’t have full control of his bowels and bladder, and Brooke was kind enough to clean up his accidents and change his diaper. I felt so comfortable with her walking, feeding, and taking care of him. Brooke was also very responsive and easy to communicate with. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to walk my fur baby! Will definitely contact her again in the future.”

“Sammy has been amazing with my newly rescued dog and has helped so much with his socialization. She even brought her own dog along for a playdate. When a frozen door code locked her out, she still offered to come back to make sure my dog was okay. Sammy is a dependable caretaker and truly a good friend and neighbor. I’m very grateful to have her as part of our routine!”

In the afternoons, I can stick around longer to spend more time with them. I have experience with positive reinforcement and am also okay with using dog crates if the need is there. I'm experienced with different types of harnesses and collars as well and have worked with dogs with many different allergies.
“Alexis has been quick to respond, very friendly and wants the best for your pet. We’ve had a good experience with her and know that we can trust her with our puppy! She does great at communicating when we ask about the day or need to tell her something that wasn’t previously discussed.”

“Sydney took great care of our puppy while going on walks during the day. Our girl is 13 weeks old and can be stubborn sometimes but Sydney handled her great, will be rebooking, highly recommend!”

“Auden has given walks to our dog, Mochi, over the last six months. She was a lifesaver after I had a baby in January and it was harder for me to have the time to walk Mochi, especially in the cold weather. Mochi especially loved going on walks in Hickory Hill Park with her. Thank you, Auden!”

About: Hi! I'm Jamie! I work full-time as a hairstylist, but I've always loved animals and wanted a fun way to spend more time outside while helping busy pet parents. I have experience caring for my family's dogs and have loved getting to know each of their different personalities. My parents have a small/medium-sized dog who I've watched while they've been out of town, including caring for him for a full week on my own. I also regularly spend time with my sister's two larger dogs on weekends, letting them out, playing with them, giving them lots of attention, and of course getting in plenty of cuddles! I pride myself on being dependable, communicative, and treating every pet as if they were my own. I'll always send photo updates and let you know how your pup did after every visit! I'd love the chance to meet you and your furry best friend! I work fulltime as a hairstylist, so I plan my pet care around my work schedule and only accept bookings that I can give my full attention to. I'm available for walks and drop-in visits during my available days and times, including evenings and weekends. I'm dependable and will always make sure I have enough time in my schedule to give your pup the care and attention they deserve. Your pet's safety, comfort, and individual needs are always my top priority. Before each booking, I'll ask questions about your pet's personality, routine, training, leash behavior, reactivity, triggers, and how they interact with other dogs, cats, and people. I want to understand what makes your pet comfortable and what situations I should be aware of before we head out. For walks, I'll follow your instructions regarding leashes, harnesses, and walking routines and will keep your pet supervised and secure at all times. I'll never let a dog off leash unless you've specifically asked me to and we're in an appropriate, safe area. For drop in visits, I'll follow your instructions for potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and cuddles. I'm also comfortable giving oral medications such as pills when clear instructions are provided. I'll make sure doors, gates, and other entry points are securely closed before leaving. I know every pet is different, so I don't assume that one approach works for every dog. I'll take the time to learn your pet's needs and follow the routines and boundaries you've established for them. I'll also send photos and an update after each visit so you know how your pup is doing!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
