I grew up with pets -two stray kittens and several older rescue dogs - and have been one of their primary caregivers since I was 10. I have cared for my friends' companion animals on various occasions over the years. About: I've been around cats, dogs, and other not so typical pets (rabbits, hamsters, goats) since I was born and currently have a cat and two house rabbits. I've dogsat for family and friends several times for several days to a week (usually for people with multiple dogs, including a pair of huskies). I have experience with small and large (mastiff mix) dogs and with dogs with severe fear around new people. I volunteered at a nonprofit rescue for two years that took dogs from hoarding cases, backyard breeders, and kill shelters, so I have seen a lot and dealt with a lot.
