“2nd booking in two weeks. She cares about my dog Brian & always sends pics n feedback. She fed him per my instructions & kept my home secure. I definitely will book with her again”

“She is amazing! She did everything and even more of what I asked her, my pets love her they are always exited when they see her and she is an amazing person! Thank you!!”

“Rosa has cared for our five cats, all of whom are a special part of our family, for multiple visits. She is caring and always takes time to leave feedback and photos. We trust her and gravitate back to her when our close friends and neighbors can't help while we're away.”

About: I have 7 years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. In addition to personal pet care, I work in a veterinary ER setting, which has strengthened my ability to recognize subtle changes in behavior and prioritize safety. I’m experienced with puppies, high energy breeds, and senior dogs needing extra patience. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and keeping owners updated. Your pet’s wellbeing comes first, always. I work full-time at a veterinary emergency hospital and have a rotating schedule of four 12-hour shifts per week. On my workdays, I’m not available so I can stay fully focused on patient care. However, on my days off, I’m completely available and able to dedicate my full attention to your pet. I’m especially a great fit for weekend care, boarding, and extended stays when I’m off work. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with a large outdoor area and access to multiple walking trails for regular exercise. I have one friendly, well-socialized dog who does well with others. I carefully supervise all interactions and can separate dogs if needed. I follow feeding and medication instructions exactly and keep owners updated so they feel confident and informed.
“Susan did a great job taking care of my two cats! She is very thorough and gave detailed reports after each visit. I would love to have Susan pet sit again in the future.”

“Christina was great! My cats have been fighting a lot recently, so I was afraid to leave them or even try to explain the fighting to a cat sitter without coming off as a crazy cat lady. Christina had experienced this type fighting before with her own cats and knew how to de-escalate the situation. I came home; there was no signs of fighting or stressed cats! Great experience!”

About: I have owned all kinds of animals all my life. I have had a wide variety, but at the moment care a cat, a parrot, a bunny, sugar gliders, rats, fish, and of course my dog. I was a dog walker for a bit and have pet sit for friends. I have taken care of senior dogs with stricter demands and also little puppies with lots of energy. I love animals and will treat your fur child as if they are my own. I just graduated from college and am taking a year off so will have more time to petsit. I will be able to drop by whenever needed and work around your routine. I can follow whatever needs you place for your animal in your home. My animals have a variety of demands so I understand that every animal has different needs.
“Emily was able to help us out on very short notice and did a great job! Our mini Aussie can be a little tough but she was able to make her comfortable. Thank you so much!!”

About: *now booking DROP-INS* 🐶Austin (Oak Hill) -> 7/2 to 7/29 *Ask me about the October "Dog Bladder Limits" / ACL W2 Drop-In Package!* *Dog Training/Behavior package available off-platform, ask me for details* Ever since I was 12 years old, I have been relied on and trusted by friends, family and clients to take care of their dogs in their absence. This year, I turned my lifelong love for canines from dogsitting, dogwalking, dog owning, and dog therapy teamwork into full-blown Dog Training Certification. So, know that is also an offering. And I lightly whisper to any and all dogs I come in contact with. I am also a Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher, so if calm is what you need, my calm leader energy is at your service. 🙏🏽 I used to own a half-husky named Zephyr who was the light of my world, and my Therapy Dog teammate. Unfortunately I had to let him go at 12.5 years in the summer of '25 as he became suddenly ill. We would walk and hike 2x a day. This directly correlated to why he looked so youthful and possessed such intelligence, because he was exercised. So even if I exercise your dog, I hope you also get to partake in this ritual for the physical and mental well-being of your baby. Not to mention for your bond! I establish my leadership calmly, and then I greet your dog. I like to take them outside for relief / exercise or a walk and upon our return, we top off water and food. If I am allowed, I like sitting with or playing with your dog, and massaging their big joints and paws, so they feel cared for. Then if time permits, I stay in the same room and do some of my own work so they can feel my presence for a good chunk of time before I depart/they are left alone again.
About: I am currently a second year veterinary student here at A&M, so I am very knowledgable on animal health and behavior. I have been taking care of animals for my entire life, so I am open to any size, type, or any level of specialized care that they might need. I can also help with nail trims, anal glands and administering medications! This summer my schedule is very flexible, and only have a few weeks blocked off due to my externships that I need to attend. This allows me to work anytime that you might need! I currently live in an apartment, so that’s why I am currently not offering boarding. However, in a client’s home I will always make sure the pet is cared for while keeping you home clean and organized.
“Stassney is such an amazing sitter. She was flexible when I needed to add more visits at the last minute and she provides great updates and pictures. I definitely trust Stassney with my cat!”

“Danielle took excellent care of our two cats! We especially appreciated the time that she spent interacting with them. Danielle’s daily reports were detailed and we liked how she included pics of the cats. She reaches out to us with any questions she had. We highly recommend Rover Danielle!”

Susie was an awesome caregiver for our kitties while we were away! Not only did she take care if our pets, but she also helped with our mail, recycling and trash, too! She kept our home and kitties clean and fed and even protected them from an errant hornet that entered our home! Thank you so much, Susie! We will ask for your assistance again! 🥰
This is my second time having Jacquie watch my cat, and she has been wonderful both times! She was available on short notice, which was incredibly helpful, and she took great care of him while I was away. Jacquie is reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the pets she watches. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

Mia did an absolutely fantastic job watching my two kitties and helping me with the mail, too. Mia was very careful in providing very good care of my two cats, carefully tending to their food, water and litter needs. She took very good care of our home and I recommend her highly. Thank you for your help, Mia!!
We are so grateful for the care and attention Cole & Casey gave our pets while we were away. Communication was excellent, and our pets were happy and well cared for when we returned home. We would definitely recommend Cole & Casey and would be using them again.

Abbigayl took great care of my diabetic cat. He got along great with her, even loving on her by the end of my trip. He was a great spirits when I got home. Her rover cards were great and sometimes a little funny. I look forward to reading & seeing pictures of how my boy was doing each meal.

Kristin is an absolute rockstar. This is the third time she’s spent a few days visiting with Potluck for us, and we couldn’t be happier with the care and attention she shows our kitty. Kristin is always available, very communicative and dedicated to keeping Potluck happy and comfortable when we’re away. Highly recommend!

Kylie is so kind, caring and happy to help out! She was very open to changing things during her visits (I was trying out a new automatic feeder and wasn’t sure how it would work) and was very communicative, updating me during her visits. I have cats who aren’t super social and she was great with them.

I have a pair of bunnies, one of whom is a special needs senior and quite medically fragile. Kim did an amazing job taking care of him and keeping me updated on how he was doing! Couldn’t be happier with her quality of care and will definitely be booking again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
