About: I studied biology and received my Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University. I have interned and volunteered at the Birmingham Zoo as well as experience working as a kennel assistant at an animal clinic. Since I was a kid I’ve always had a passion to care for animals and believe that they deserve the same love and care as people do. About: I have 3+ years of house sitting for a friend's dog, feeding and water for his dog, and walking his dog twice a day. I have no special skills. I just have myself and a way of bonding with animals that I meet. I am currently unemployed, but currently looking for another full time job. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes ever since I was young, and as I got older, my love for them continued to grow. This passion was instrumental in deciding my future as I am currently studying at Texas A&M and finishing up my degree in Animal Science. I want to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and plan on applying to the Texas A&M Veterinary School in 2026. I have worked in two veterinary clinics, one of which was AHAA accredited and provided overnight boarding for both cats and dogs. Outside of my time in clinics, I have also studied in laboratories that were at the cutting edge of veterinary medicine. Although not as relevant to this service, I also have experience in exotic pet care, including lagamorphs, rodents, arthropods, and wildlife. My unique experiences have provided me not only with a vast of knowledge of animal medicine, but an understanding of animal communication and husbandry as well. I have experience walking, playing, grooming, poop-scooping, bathing, and administering different forms of medications (pills, ear drops, anti-fungal paw treatment, oral liquids). I do not reinforce bad habits such as jumping up on people, and I am familiar with dog body language. I have taken care of some of senior dogs, one of which needed help moving around and was mostly blind. High-energy dogs and young puppies are no problem! I do some basic training, too.
