About: I've been caring for pets since I was 20 years old. Friends, family members, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and provide overnight care for their beloved pets. Growing up, I had a poodle and gained experience caring for a variety of other animals, including fish, turtles, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, and rabbits. This lifelong experience has taught me how to understand and respond to the unique needs and personalities of different animals. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same attention, patience, affection, and respect that I would give my own. I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and responsive, and I'll make sure your pet receives excellent care while keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Right now I am available anytime and on the weekends. In September I will be available on Monday Tuesday morning before 10 and after one; Wednesdays all day; Thursday in the morning before 10 and after one; and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all day. I will play with them in your home. Make sure they’re comfortable and happy just as if they were my own. I will also take them on walks and cuddle with them.

About: I have always grown up with dogs in my life, and wanted to be a Veterinarian since I was little. I have worked at multiple humane societies caring for the dogs, and have an array of experience through schooling, and an externship at a Pet Clinic. I care deeply for animals of all types, and I would like to spend the rest of my life ensuring their wellbeing, and protection. I am confident that I can provide quality care for your furry babies, and make sure they are comfortable and happy! I have a keen eye for observing their behaviors/tendencies, so this will be important if they seem to be in pain or discomfort. I only want the best for your pet since I understand the importance of their companionship. I am currently traveling, so looking for some gig work while I’m on the East Coast, but usually I’m living in Hawaii and am self-employed, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I make sure to be patient with each animal and let them come to me. I won’t force them to be social, and will be aware of their behaviors to ensure safety and trust is built between us. Also being mindful of their interactions with other dogs or humans if they have any issues with them.
About: I’ve worked on farms and worked with multiple animal types from dogs to goats. I’m accustomed to schedule planning and checking everything off each day and night. I am open in the afternoons and I work in the early mornings. I am quite flexible as long as I have prior notice. My husband does come along with me to meet and greets and appointments when he is off work. I do work a full time job aswell. I have a very relaxed home as I have my own puppy and she has full ranged of the entire apartment. She is fixed and potty trained.

“Roger was wonderful. He stayed in communication with me the entire time we were away, sent pictures and left our home nice and neat. He went above and beyond in bringing in our trash and recycle barrels, mail and working to make sure our doodle was comfortable with him. We will definitely use again.”

About: I always grew up in a home with pets, I have 2 dogs at home in Connecticut that I love! I also have experience dogsitting for a family with two black labs (one older, one younger) when they go on vacations for 7 or more days at a time! I dog sit for neighbors and take my own dogs for walks daily. I'm a student at UNCW and I also have a small side job as a lifeguard, but I am free to watch/walk dogs on the weekends and most mornings/afternoons depending on my schedule that week! I will be able to care for your dog in your home by checking the fences and areas of safety that you have for your pets, I will make sure to be cautious of safety habits and what makes your pet and home most comfortable!

“Rachel was great. She took care of our dog Shamus and watched our house for 11 days. We came home to a happy dog and a clean house. Rachel kept us up to date on how things were going. When we go away again if she is available we would not hesitate to use Rachel.”

About: I have a lot of love to give to all fur babies. I have had dogs my entire life. No matter how young or old, I have the time and patience and special love catered to fit your babies needs. The more notice I receive, the better care I can give, HOWEVER, no matter the notice, all my love is always given as often as agreed upon. I can watch your dogs in your home only as we are currently in a smaller home with animals of our own that need their space. I will spend as little or as much time with your babies as requested.
About: Hi, my name is Halle, I am an 24 year-old English teacher and an experienced pet-owner who loves dogs. I have owned dogs my entire life and I have plenty of experience taking care of my own dogs as well as many others. I am very used to doing drop-ins, dog-walking, and providing dog care in my own home with about five years professional experience now. I love dogs and have spent my entire life around them so I know how to handle them in different situations. I am available virtually anytime on the weekdays during the summer and anytime on the weekends, depending on my other work schedule. I have experience training puppies so I know how energetic they can be! Hopefully I can provide you and your beloved pets with whatever services necessary. Thank you! I am working part-time at the moment so my schedule is very flexible and I can be around to take great care of your dog whenever! I have a very friendly and energetic young dog who loves to sprint at the beach and throw the ball in the backyard. I would love to provide the same level of activity for your pup and if boarding, there’s plenty of room in my home to separate my dog if yours prefers to be the only pet.

Potty breaks are easy and frequent. I have a huge love for animals and seek to give them a comfortable, happy experience while you’re occupied. I have an unfenced yard, a beautiful walkable neighborhood, and treat each furry friend with all the love, care, patience, and respect they deserve from their sitter!
“We are so happy with Kristen as a sitter for our 2 pups! She is experienced, attentive, and professional. Our dogs and house were in perfect form when we got home, and our dogs were not stressed at all. We look forward to using her regularly and having peace of mind when we go away.”

“If I could give Kimberlee more than five stars, I would! From the moment we met her, it was clear she was incredibly conscientious, detail-oriented, and genuinely cared about giving Scooby the very best care. Our dog, Scooby, is anxious around other dogs and does much better staying in her own home with a trusted person. Kimberlee was absolutely perfect for her. She was accommodating, thoughtful, and went above and beyond in every way. She kept us updated with wonderful photos, and honestly, you could see in every single one how much Scooby adored her. As pet parents, that kind of peace of mind is priceless. Knowing she was not only safe but truly happy allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our time away. It takes a special person to earn the trust of an anxious dog, and Kimberlee did just that with patience, kindness, and genuine affection. We are beyond grateful that she was Scooby’s person while we were away. I cannot recommend Kimberlee highly enough, and we will absolutely be booking her again. Thank you, Kimberlee, for taking such incredible care of our girl!”

“Bailey was great with our elderly golden retriever. When we got home he acted like we had never been away which is how I know he was treated well. She is responsive and kept good notes for each day’s events. Definitely will be using her again as long as our old boy is with us!”

About: Ever since I was a kid, I've always had a dog in my household. I enjoy the excitement and fun times that I share with them. I am a very loving, trustworthy, and respectable person to others and especially animals! Without having a dog in my everyday life I feel incomplete. I am known to consider animals feelings over people in my life, simply because animals are harmless creatures that just need to be loved and taken care of. I'd love to share my free time helping out others in the community by taking care of their own fury friends when they are unable to. I have two dogs myself and they are a very big part of my life. One goes to work daily, while the older boy stays quiet at home. I take daily walks for some good exercise and fresh air. I have a fenced yard and two very friendly dogs to keep your fur baby comfortable. I can easily crate if need be. I have plenty of space for exercise and separate areas for feeding.
About: I've cared for the fuzzy family members of friends, family friends, and work friends for years. My own pets have been mostly senior rescues from owners who could no longer care for them. I have experience with medication, drop-ins, house-sitting, and more. I am currently an artist with open commissions, so my schedule is flexible and made for your pets. I usually crochet or draw when I care for lower-energy animals, and love playing with those with more energy. I am a no-shoes-in-house kind of person, and can bring separate house shoes if preferred. I am no stranger to cleaning up pet accidents. I keep to the living areas of the home, unless the pets are kept elsewhere, and provide a quiet presence for more introverted or timid animals. I ensure to adhere to the idea of "leave no trace", as though your home is the natural habitat for your pets.
“I would highly recommend Kim to care for your pet. We recently left our precious pooch for 2 weeks under Kim’s care. Kim stayed in our home and lovingly cared for our dog. Kim works remotely and was home with her which was important to us. She communicated daily and sent amazing pics which we loved. Our dog was relaxed and playful when we arrived home indicating the loving care she received. Our dog has frequently gone to the guest bedroom looking for Kim! Her care was above and beyond. It is such a good feeling to be able to travel and know your pet is in good hands.”

“I have a geriatric, spoiled, pugnacious pug who needs medication and constant attention. When I had to tend to an emergency and would be gone for four days, I feared no one would be able to properly care for him. JJ appeared like the Calvary and rescued me. If it weren’t for JJ I can’t even imagine what I’d do. I owe her big time. It’s been one day since she left my little dog is looking around for her.”

Our dog absolutely loved having Vincent stay over for three nights to watch her! She looks so happy in all of the frequent update photos that we received. When we got home, our house was spotless and Shiloh was happy and healthy. Will definitely be continuing to use Vincent for future dog sitting needs!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clinton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clinton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clinton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
