1. Terry S.
“Wow! Terry is an incredible person and pet sitter. She is kind and sensitive and has a great deal of knowledge on training and pet behavior. Terry stayed with our pets for a week and she exceeded our expectations! That says a lot since we ask a lot and have high maintenance animals that their humans created. : ) She gave daily updates and pictures, watered plants, looked out for our stray, administered medication, and we came home to a neat home. She was very conscientious to each of our pets needs and was attentive to the time in between potty breaks for our elderly lab. She insured all our pets were comfy and then some. She sent pictures and our lab had soft eyes and smiles. He normally has anxiety and he did great! Our elderly cat was on her lap each night and cuddled up to her which normally takes him a lot of time to do to new people. We arrived home later than expected due to a missed connecting flight and she was so patient and stayed a little longer than planned. Terry has a kind demeanor and eased my nerves and I had no worries on this trip. Our experience was wonderful! One of our best trips because of her, we didn't worry about a thing.”
2. Ashley P.
“Ashley helped me out on relatively short notice with my new rescue when I had to go away for a night. She kept a watchful eye on him and made sure not to keep him from starting any of his naughty habits. She sent lots of pics throughout the night and made me feel better about leaving my guy for a night.”
3. Angelle S.
“Angelle house & hound sat for me for two nights. Knowing my pups are extremely shy with people, she spent the entire time "working with them". Despite themselves they started to warm up to and trust her. She was so sweet and respectful of my home. And her doggie report cards!! I almost did not want to do a review for fear she would get too many new bookings to want to sit my pups if needed! :))”
4. Cassandra S.
“Super sweet and thoughtful kept me updated the entire time and gave my Siberian husky bear a great time even was kind enough to go above and beyond to do the dishes I didn’t have time to clean the night before I appreciate it so much. It’s hard to find a sitter for him because he does have a lot of energy and tends to pull hard on the leash. 10/10 recommend her and would love to have her back!!”
5. Carley T.
“Carley is so great with the dogs and kept us updated throughout our trip.”
6. Caroline F.
“Caroline was excellent. Very prompt with communication, friendly and took great care of our dog and home. Could not recommend her highly enough.”
7. Binti D.
“Binti was amazing! My dog is very shy and she did amazing getting him to warm up to her. Very fast communication!”
8. Vincent G.
“Vincent is the kindest, most caring person you will ever find to take care of your pets! He goes above and beyond to make you and your furry friend happy. Whenever he comes to take care of my dog, she goes absolutely crazy - sometimes I think she loves him more than me! He won’t only take care of your pet, but he will make your pet feel truly loved. I don’t feel guilty leaving my dog alone all day because I know she will receive so much love and care with him.”
9. Sara M.
“Sara was absolutely incredible. She was communicative, prompt, knowledgeable, and put my mind at ease. My pup is an old girl with ailing health and a picky mind when it comes to food. Sara showed up in the creativity to hook my kid up. On top of that, my flight fell through to the next day- she was flexible, allowing me to focus on other matters. Bless. I will definitely be using Sara again in the future. HIGHLY recommend”
10. Kate H.
“Kate was absolutely amazing with our two large breed dogs and a cat. She stayed at our home and took care of our pets for a long weekend. Kate kept me updated on how the pets were doing and what was going on at the house. She gave one of our dogs oral medication every 12 hours and sent texts when the medications were administered. Kate gave all my pets love and attention, walks, belly rubs, and even made a fun video of the pets while she was here. I felt so happy and relaxed leaving my fur babies with her. I can’t wait to rebook Kate!”
11. Julia H.
“We could not have asked for a better puppy sitter! Julia is personable and kind to both 2-legged and 4-legged creatures; she is an absolute professional. We received daily pictures and updates from her and any questions we asked were responded to quickly and comprehensively! She even tidied up after herself and left our apartment probably better than she found it. Look no further for a trustworthy, reliable pet sitter or dog walker—I know we wont!!”
12. Sara G.
“Sara was absolutely lovely! She was very comfortable with my dog immediately, asked great questions, was very thorough in her approach to caring for my dog along with providing updates while I was away. We genuinely felt at ease on our first trip away since moving to CT knowing she was caring for our dog. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone for pet care.”
13. Marly L.
“Marly was really great with dogsitting our pup. We hope to have her back soon!”
14. Carly N.
“Was an amazing sitting and our pups absolutely enjoyed spending time with her!! Will definitely be contacting her again for future dog sitting”
15. Holly M.
“I am so impressed with the compassion that Holly has for my dog, Oakley. He’s a larger dog at 75 pounds and can be quite high maintenance. But she is such an animal lover and knows how to deal with dogs. I would highly recommend Holly for any help with your dogs!”
16. Ryan W.
“Ryan is a devoted pet owner and animal lover. He always wants to help all animals to allow them a better life. Ryan has a gift with dogs. When dogs see Ryan, they get excited and are drawn to him. Ryan has a coming nature with animals.”
17. Andrea M.
“Andrea was very responsible and had great communication throughout the stay. She made us feel comfortable during the stay by sending us pictures of our two dogs and keeping us updated as needed. We would not hesitate to use Andrea again!”
18. Kim B.
“Kim was awesome. She had a great attention to detail and asked questions to make sure Abby was well taken care of. She kept in contact while we were away. This was great as we did not worry at all! She also made sure our fish and chickens were cared for as well!!”
19. Elora H.
About: I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of animals, from farm animals to pets. I have been involved in training and caring for dogs, as well as tending to livestock such as chickens and rabbits since I was a child. I have worked at a dog daycare center for four years in Old Saybrook and also gained experience at another facility in Massachusetts. In addition to my work with dogs and cats, I have also cared for rescue farm animals at Bush Hill summer camp, where I helped educate children about animal preservation and nature. I have also provided care for reptiles and birds. Animals are an essential part of my life, and I approach caring for them with deep compassion and understanding. Your animals will be in excellent hands and will receive the same level of love and care as my own pets. For dog boarding I usually work in the morning from 6am to noon.so I feed ny dogs breakfast and let them out fairly early in the morning.i have a lunch break before heading to the dog day care for 1pm to 6pm.within that break I let my dogs out and let them outside for some fesh air.i feed them dinner once I'm home and let then out a few time's before bed.im usually busy on the weekends to take my pups out for hikes in the warmer month's. I have two dogs, one is a couch hog,and the other loves to play with other dogs, both are great when it comes to interacting with people, kids cats and other dog's. We have a large yard but it's not fenced in, luckily we are close to a lot of great hiking trails and only a short drive from my town beach.i live with two other people who love dogs as well and can step in as well when it comes to extra love.overall, old saybrook is a town that is ideal for dogs and people alike.
