About: What sets me apart from other dog sitters is my deep, unwavering love for dogs; they are my whole world. Losing my beloved Daisy has profoundly changed how I view the love of dogs, making me even more dedicated to ensuring they live their best lives. Dogs are only with us for a short time, and I believe they deserve nothing but the best. I cherish the moments of their goofy antics, their little toe taps, their teeth stuck on their lips when they smile out of pure joy, and especially their tails wagging crazily even the smallest things you do for them. People are always amazed at how comfortable and loving their dogs are with me for the first time meeting. For me, dog sitting isn't just a job—it's a way to make sure every dog feels as loved and special as they truly are. I currently work part-time with morning shifts until noon depending on the day. I am also a part-time college student, my classes for the upcoming semester are only on Wednesdays, leaving the rest of the weekdays available to care for your fur babies. I am looking to transition from my current job to one that aligns more closely with my interests and future career. My availability is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. Still figuring out weekends but if there is a last minute pop up, I would be more than happy to spend time with your pup. When I get home from work, I always give my pups a hug/pet and a kiss on their noses. After the excitement of me coming home dies down a little, I let them out to use the bathroom in their designated area and then we head to the back yard for them to get their zoomies out. For the time being, the service I am going to offer will be drop ins or stay at the pups home for how ever long you would like them to have company until you return back from work or doctors appointments or to go visit family or friends, etc.. When I drop in, I will greet my client (your dog) with a friendly & comforting hello. If your dog is crate trained or in a designated area, I will retrieve them, let them have their excitement to see me and then take them out to go potty. Depending on if your pup gets lunch I will feed them lunch and then we will play for the time being or relax & snuggle if your dog prefers that instead until the visit is up. I also have a nice size SUV to take your pup for a ride to the park for walks or drop them off at vet/hair cut appointments or even just to drop off them at doggy daycare or to your summer home, etc. I would like to expand my services in the near future when I get a home for myself with a great back yard to have my fur friends come and hang out with me all day!
14. Sarah C.
“Sarah is like a "dog whisperer." She is a responsible, loving and passionate pet caregiver, treating dogs as if they were her own family members. My Corgi Zoe loves Sarah, who has dog sat for me several times. I'm confident Zoe is in "good hands" when she spends time with her. Sarah and I lived next door to each other in an apartment complex. Zoe still goes over to Sarah's door. Where is Sarah?”
15. Roger B.
“Roger was wonderful. He stayed in communication with me the entire time we were away, sent pictures and left our home nice and neat. He went above and beyond in bringing in our trash and recycle barrels, mail and working to make sure our doodle was comfortable with him. We will definitely use again.”
16. Georgia W.
“Georgia is a natural with animals. She’s helped take care of our farm and has a beautiful rapport with all of the animals. She is very nurturing and will love your animals and give them much respect.”
17. Tanisha O.
“Tanisha is wonderful with animals! She was available and flexible with our schedule as well. Reliable, and would definitely use her services again! Thank you!”
18. Blake S.
“Blake was great with our dogs! He took care of a few little house tasks as well which was helpful while we were gone but most importantly I knew my dogs were well loved and cared for. We got daily videos and regular updates. We were very pleased! Thank you Blake!!”
19. Erin & Chloe B.
About: Hello, my name is Erin and I've been a resident in East Haddam since December 2020, prior to that I was a life long resident in Greenwich, CT. I have two dogs of my own, my adult daughter has one dog and my mom has one, so we have a total of four at home right now. My son has two indoor cats but they are in his third floor room so are separated from the dogs. All of our pets are up to date on vaccines and are all spayed/neutered. We have a safely fenced in backyard so I’m able to watch your dog in my house (as long as they get along with other dogs of course! ) or I can watch in your own home. I can do drop by visits to do walks, let them out, feed them, cats too. I do work full time but know my schedule well in advance so I can usually help with pet needs! If your pet stays at my home, there is always one or two other adults there, they will never be left alone. Morning and afternoons before 2 pm are best for my drop ins but I can also do so after 11pm on most nights if needed. I take extreme care and precautions in your home or mine, strictly follow any walking and feeding instructions, I consider your pet as one of mine whenever I’m caring for them, I know how important they are!
20. Andrea M.
“Andrea was very responsible and had great communication throughout the stay. She made us feel comfortable during the stay by sending us pictures of our two dogs and keeping us updated as needed. We would not hesitate to use Andrea again!”
