“I had a family wedding to go to and wanted to find a safe and comfortable place to leave Winston, my young dorgi (half dachshund, half corgi) who had never been away from me since I was lucky enough to get him. Laura and her family turned out to be the perfect people and place. With a beautiful, safe home out in the country, a deck and fenced in yard where he could play, a open-plan house where he was visible at all times, Laura’s place was perfect. And the bonus: three little girls who adored him and lavished attention upon him, much to his delight. Laura, herself, was wonderful, caring, professional, delightful. She took him on long walks which he loved, texted me photos and updates on this progress during the stay, saw to his every need and even made some recommendations to me as to feeding bowls which might slow his eating down (he snarfs up his food in seconds!). I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. But I think he knows he can go back and stay in this home away from home which he will definitely be doing the next time I need to go away without him. I can’t tell you the peace of mind that all this brought me, knowing that he was happy and being well-cared-for and loved.”

“This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.”

About: Dog and cat owner. As pet parents it is our responsibility that our pets live a happy and healthy life. I give that to every animal that comes into my life! Currently working a hybrid schedule in a full-time role, so I’m home pretty often throughout the week! On the days I do go into the office, my mom stops by to take my dog for a walk and can give any dogs staying with me a midday break too. I have a super friendly 3-year-old Golden Retriever who loves other dogs and is always happy to have a friend around! When I’m working from home, I’m here throughout the day and have plenty of time between meetings and projects for walks, playtime, attention, and lots of company. When boarding, I’m home outside of my office hours, and your dog will get lots of playtime, walks, attention, and plenty of time to just hang out and feel at home! My pets are my priority. I always make sure things are put away and out of grasp for my dog. Food is never left out, especially foods that may be harmful to pets. I limit those off of my shopping list as much as possible. When we have other dogs over, they are offered fresh water, treats if allowed and all the toys they could desire. If a dog is not allowed certain toys due to being a shredder or if the toy poses a choking hazard, those toys go in the closet. I’m very careful and attentive, while having fun with all dogs!
About: Hi, My name is Brooke I go by Seven and my entire life has been surrounded by animals, from catching frogs, lizards, feeding the squirrels and always just having that touch even with the animals that don't trust or care for most humans. I have that special something. I started walking the whole neighborhoods dogs when i was 9 years old, i would walk up to 5 at a time. At the age of 13 i started volunteering for an animal rescue fostering dogs and cats. I was the girl growing up all my friends would bring stray or lost animals too. 16 i started working as a vet assistant, at 18 working a 150 dog ranch/doggie daycare and boarding facility to then move on into my early twenties working a place in Seattle called Dogwood Play Park, the first of its kind. It was an indoor outdoor 21 plus play park and daycare. Owners could bring their dogs to play while they had a beer and got to know other dog lovers, I built many beautiful dog... and people friendships there. I have always been told by the owners they that their dogs listens to me better..I say its just cause i am alpha pack leader!! I have massive respect and love for all animals. I worked in Portland Oregon on a farm in 2022 called Trisklee farm where i cared for all the animals on the property as farmer seven, i did weekend tours of the farm and helped run kids summer camp.I am very good with all ages and types of animals. My biggest strength is animal body language, i can read an animals move before they do it. Something i have picked up over my life span over working with animals everyday. About: I have had a dog my whole life! Currently, I have a 3 year old male Bichon Frise and a 13 year old male American Eskimo. I’ve always loved spending time with dogs and will care for yours like my own. My work schedule is flexible so I can typically accommodate drop off anytime. I have a lot of availability for weekends but can potentially accommodate longer weekday + stays too. Your dog will be allowed on furniture in our home, we are a smoke free home, and we can provide care based on any of your special needs. I don’t crate my own dog but I’m willing to crate yours if needed.
About: I have always had animals since I was a young girl, both cats and dogs. I showed a special interest in them, leading to me attending multiple summer camps for FIDELCO seeing eye dogs. As I got older I began attending conservation summer programs. I have worked on sea turtle conservation efforts in North Carolina. I have also spent a month in Sumatra and Bali, Indonesia contributing to coral reef restoration as well as preserving the local orangutan population. I have watched numerous pets of family friends as well as my own family during vacations. I attended University on the island of Oahu. There I began working at a feline-specialty veterinary office as a vet assistant for a year and a half. Upon moving back to Connecticut in June of 2026 I have begun working at an Urgent Care for pets. I also have two cats, who I consider my children! I work M-F 9am-6pm. I do my absolute best to ensure my calendar availability is up to date and accurate. My calendar is typically updated a month out. While I do not offer in-home pet sitting at my residence, I ensure your pet will be taken care of just as well I would mine in my own home.
