“Bony is very kind and Bear seemed to enjoy his stay with her, her dog Winter and her kids! I had a last minute request and she was gracious to be able to take him on such short notice. She sent me a photo during his stay and kept me updated throughout the day. I will definitely be calling on her to dog sit again!”

“Katrina is THE BEST! My Coco was taken care of so well! I received videos and pics everyday from her while I was on vacation and that made me very happy and comforted. Katrina deserves five stars! Thank you for all of your hard work. Definitely will recommend Katrina to anyone who wants their fur baby pampered and loved.”

“Mikayla is the best! Sent so many pics of my dogs and loved on them just as much as I do. Kept me updated the whole time and made it super convenient to pick up and drop off. Will definitely be a repeat customer and recommend her to everyone!”

About: Hi, I’m Kait! You can trust your pet will be in loving, experienced hands with me. I’ve fostered and helped find homes for 13 dogs, and I share my home with three “foster fail” rescue pups who absolutely love having new friends over. Whether your dog needs a walk, a potty break, or a cozy, safe place to stay while you’re away, I’m here to help. I have experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and ages, and I treat every pup like part of the family. Let me know how I can make your pet feel right at home! 🐾 I’m off work all summer—so your pup gets me morning to night! I’m available for walks and check-ins seven days a week ! Your dog can expect couch naps, zoomies in my fenced yard, and lots of love! Social pups can play with my three resident dogs, and if your dog prefers their own space, I’m happy to keep things calm and separate. I’ve done it with my fosters and will do the same for yours. Every pup leaves happy—tail wagging and belly full!
“My dog stayed here for several days and had a wonderful time. Mou & Yanling were caring, communicative. I really appreciated the videos updates. Highly recommend!”

About: My husband and I always had a pack of rescues. Large, small, sick, old. We had no children so our pets were our children. My husband passed away and I recently just lost my last fur baby. I want to travel a bit so pet sitting is going to be my substitute for a while. I love cats but unfortunately I'm highly allergic. I currently work remotely but will be retiring shortly. My daily routine is wide open. I've always had one or more dogs so my routine has always been focused on their care. My last 3 were older boys with medical conditions so my life was focused on their care. I can accommodate crates or not, whatever your babies need. I do not have a fenced in yard so when they go outside they will always be on a leash.
“Samantha & Zach are amazing. They’re are amazing with their communication about your furry friend. My dog Titus always gets excited going there would definitely recommend their services.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Craig as Barney’s pet sitter! Craig was an excellent communicator, providing daily updates along with adorable pictures. He took Barney on regular walks and made sure he was comfortable in his welcoming home. It was clear that Craig cared for Barney like he was his own dog. Barney had a fantastic time, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. We would definitely recommend Craig to others and look forward to using his services again in the future!”

“Both of our dogs had an amazing time at Kellie’s while we were out of town! She kept us updated with plenty of pictures during their stay and in every one we could see them having a great time with her dog and kids! We will definitely plan to use her again for any future trips 😊”

“If you are looking for a sitter for your fur baby then, look no further. Katie took good care of my fur baby Milo. This was my first time ever using this app, and I was quite nervous, but she made everything transition smoothly. Milo enjoyed his stay, and I was updated with cute pictures of him. I will definitely recommend her to family and friends.”

About: I’ve had both large and small breed dogs my whole life. I currently have a 3 year old Bloodhound mix named Otis and a 1 year old cat named Stars. Otis is the sweetest guy and is a great friend to his furry pals when he is boarded. I have fostered a dog before and Otis did great with him! I am a full-time teacher but I am available for weekends and most school breaks. I have some weeknight availability, as well! I am also available for summer care. I have a large fenced in yard in a quiet cul-de-sac and plenty of room in my home to host your fur babies. I also have an extra crate (large size) and doggy play pen at your request.
“Dawn was great! I trusted her with my babies and I am an overprotective dog parent. Received lots of very cute photos of my boys while I was on vacation. I highly recommend Dawn!”

“Katie was amazing! She made me feel so at ease and comfortable knowing my Fiona was in her care. Fiona was so happy to get to Katie’s house and looked so happy in her pictures! I can’t thank Katie enough for taking care of my girl!!!”

About: I will care and love your fur baby likes its mine. I recently lost my little guy. Lost of love and attention to give your's. I'm retired and live alone and recently lost my little dog. I've decided to give my love to other dogs instead of getting another one. I have a fenced in yard and ranch style home so no stairs. No pets of my own so all my attention will go to yours.
“We always know Hazel is in good hands when she stays with Monica. She always takes such great care of her and is easy to communicate with. She’s our go to dog sitter when we’re out of town.”

“Danielle and her family were so great with my high energy, high anxiety border collie. She was super communicative in advance and was flexible with my crazy travel hours. When we got to their house to drop Callie off, she immediately took off into their huge, fenced in backyard, and I knew she’d have a great time there. Not only did Danielle and her family play with Callie, but even the neighborhood kiddos came to throw frisbees for her. I know she’d love to go back, and I’m happy to recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a fun time for their pup!”

“Evelyn was very communicative through my dog stay and kept me updated on his state with pictures and texts. It was a very pleasant experience dealing with her and I will definitely be keeping my dog with her again.”

About: We adopted a dog 9 years ago and she was one the best things that had ever happened to us, she was our fur baby and we took her to our trips (she was a frequent flyer). She recently crossed the rainbow bridge at 17 and even though we are not ready to adopt another dog, we would absolutely love to take care of your dog. Our daughter loves dogs and it would make her really happy to have a dog in our home at least for a few days. We would take care of your dog as it was our own, we've taken care of a friend's dog and we loved every minute of it. Having a 17 year old dog we have extensive experience with senior dogs and special needs (our dog had a spinal operation and lived three years after it). I work from home four days a week and have flexibility as to when I can go in. My wife and daughter are at school and work five days a week. We have a large fenced yard and do not currently have any pets. We live in a ranch so we only have one step and a door that shuts off access to the basement if you're worried about your pet using steps. We will treat your dog as if it's our own and it is allowed on the furniture if you're okay with it.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chesterfield
My family are so happy to find Kate for our Goku! We felt comfortable right away when we first met her. She genuinely loves dog we can tell & really took good care of our Goku. She lets us filled out info forms about our dog which we really like because it means that she’s serious of knowing our dog & his needs. We know she treated Goku like her own & gave him the best care possible during his stay with her. She gave us updates & pics of Goku every day which we really appreciate & made us at ease & not worry. Changes like being away from family & familiar environment/home for a long time can cause anxiety to dogs but we really appreciate that Goku received proper attention & care from Kate that he is still a happy & healthy dog when we picked him up. We are so grateful for Kate for all the best care she provided for Goku! 😊💖🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
