“Iris and Thomas were wonderful with our high energy pit mix! They accommodated us with pickup time which had to be later due to some bad traffic, and were quick to respond when communicating.”

About: I have been rescuing dogs for almost 2 decades. Needless to say, I love dogs. I currently have a great Pyrenees and she would love Company. I work 100% remote from home., my yard has a 6 foot privacy fence am I Home is very dog friendly. I am also experienced in taking care of diabetic dogs, including testing and injections twice a day, monitoring food and making sure that all the dogs under my hair get daily walks, and lots of love. I work 100% remote. My day doesn’t start until nine, which allows me to spend time in the morning either playing with the dogs going for walks. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood around those days that the weather doesn’t permit us to go out I have what we call beauty time.. I walk my dog every evening for at least 30 minutes and if the day is nice, we try to get some time in during lunch as well My house and backyard are very pet friendly. I am not someone who gets upset if there’s an accident after all they’re pets, stuff’s gonna happen. I have a 6 foot privacy fence in my backyard. My dog prefers to sleep outside, but for the dogs that I’m sitting I prefer they be inside with me.
“We loved Amanda! This was our first time leaving our puppy with someone. Amanda gave us tips on how to make a smooth transition. She kept us posted with photos and notes! We will definitely be back!”

“Another great boarding visit with Cynthia! Abby was super excited to see her buddy and be able to spend fun times with her. When Abby's visit is over and we take her home, it's not always easy to provide the same sort of playtime and fun Cynthia provides her. So, it's nice each time we work with Cynthia to watch our girl. Abby can't wait until it's summer when the kiddie pool comes out! Thanks so much, Cynthia! A+++”

“They were great!! They were flexible about drop off and pickup, sent great updates and pictures, and are just really nice people. Their dog was also a fun bundle of energy who just wants to play!!!”

“Angie was wonderful with Broly! This was my first time using Rover, and she made the whole experience much less stressful. She kept me updated throughout his stay with messages and photos, which I really appreciated. Broly can be a bit quirky and took some time to settle in, but Angie was patient, kind, and made sure he was comfortable. It was clear that she genuinely cared about his well-being. I would absolutely trust her with Broly again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.”

“Ora is a good sitter. She sent frequent pictures of Loki and updates about him everyday. I will definitely consider her again for next time if she is available. Thank you Ora!”

“Latara is so sweet and caring! I couldn’t trust anyone else to leave my anxious cat with for a couple days. She took good care of her and tried her best to make her comfortable. She will definitely be my future go to boarding!”

“This is my first time using Rover and I am so glad I found Britnie! She spoiled my pup just like at home, and my pup was able to play all day. Pretty sure she didn’t want to go home! I got daily detailed updates and pics of my Bella having fun. Britnie definitely seemed to treat Bella like her own, which I appreciated greatly. She worked with Bella and her sometimes odd habits, so I knew she was in good hands. The next time I head out of town, I’ll definitely be booking with Britnie again!”

“Eunju was very caring for my senior dog Lemon and gave her TLC. She provided photos and updates and was understanding and accommodating. Lemon was in good spirits and very relaxed when we picked her up. I hope that Eunju will be available in the future to care for Lemon. Thank you, Eunju.”

“Dianne and Judy once again did amazingly taking care of our little man when we’re away. Great communication and quick response which are so important for my peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“Very good caregiver first time leaving my dog with a caregiver and she was excellent sent updates every day and my dog seem to be very happy. I will definitely use her again.”

“Nia was a new Rover sitter for Cesar, and she made him like he was at home. She was very professional. Always responded to all of my communications quickly. I would definitely use her as one of my go to Rover sitters in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of my Cesar!”

“Mou and Yanling were amazing with my dog dobby. I received daily videos of them playing and cuddling together. Watching them say goodbye to him when I picked him up was the sweetest thing. You could tell they really loved him. 10/10 would book again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
