“Katie took such great care of our dog while we were on vacation! We were nervous about him staying home alone for the week but she was extremely attentive, sent us tons of pictures and updates and made sure our pup was cared for. We will definitely be using her again!”

“This was our first time using Alissa and she is a five star sitter for sure! She was fantastic with our dogs and I cannot recommend her enough. She did exactly what we asked and gave us a thorough report afterwards. We will definitely ask her to return!”

“V was fantastic. She came over to meet our two dogs before our scheduled visit and both dogs immediately loved her. It’s clear she’s a dog lover! We will absolutely be reaching out again in the future”
“So fortunate to have connected with Brian. He was great with our dog and bonded quickly with him. Brian was responsive and communicated clearly. He asked great questions during the meet and greet. Throughout his care of our dog, he provided detailed updates, photos and pictures. We will absolutely be using him in the future.”

“Leigh took wonderful care of our two senior cats. She was comfortable giving one of our cats his medication twice a day and sent us good notes and pictures each day. Leigh is also just lovely and easy to talk to. From our initial meet and greet, it was clear she cares for animals and "gets" how to approach them. We feel confident leaving our boys in her care and will definitely try to book her again in the future!”
About: I grew up with dogs and loved looking after neighborhood pets as well including cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, chickens, rabbits, lizards and turtles. When I was little, I used to save earthworms after rainstorms by moving them gently from the road back onto the grass, so I am a lifelong animal lover who followed that passion to college to study wildlife biology. I volunteered at wildlife rehabilitation hospitals during that time, learning how to care for and administer medications to young and recovering animals. I’m a diligent caregiver, and pet willing, I’d love to play with them as well as tending to their basic needs. :) I’m currently working from home part-time, so my schedule is flexible. If your pets have a routine they stick to, I can ensure that continuity until you return! I am great at following directions you’ve left or walked me through. I’ll also ask you about their personalities in case they have any erratic tendencies like intense zoomies so I can let you know if they are behaving normally. With neighbors in the past, I have played with their pups/kitties/birdies or brought a book to keep their pets company at their place for an hour or so after taking care of their basic needs.
About: I give personalized care to every pet. I also have experience with dogs, whether it’s reinforcing basic training or providing attentive care, I adjust my approach to fit them. I plan my schedule around consistency and reliability. I make sure pets get timely walks, meals, playtime and specific care they need. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in, it’s something I intentionally structure my time around. In a client’s home I focus on maintaining their normal schedule so they feel comfortable in their familiar environment. In my home, I create a safe, calm space where they can relax and feel at ease.

“Paola did a great job. She did everything that was requested to look after my cat, Trixie. Trixie would be fine either way so this was more about me and my neuroses. Paola showed up as scheduled to feed and water Trixie. She also sent pics so I could see how Trixie was doing. This is definitely the way to go and Paola was the right choice. Paola was respectful of my home and cat. With Paola’s help, I was able to enjoy my weekend away.”

“Isaac was great and communicated well! We had a last minute outing to see some family and didn’t want to leave Jolie for 8 hours. Isaac kept her great company and sent lots of pictures so we knew she was happy while we were out!”

“We opted for drop-in visits for our dog and Gabby did an amazing job. She understood the instructions well and was super responsible in handling him and getting in and out of our home. My dog had a great time and we’d definitely hire Gabby again! 😊”

“Linda is AMAZING! I was very nervous about leaving our cat alone for the weekend and the care and time she spends with our spunky little guy immediately eased my mind. We appreciate Linda’s care of little Arlo and will continue to ask her to watch him when we are out of town!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting dogs and cats for years, and both my husband and I grew up with pets. We truly love being around animals, it genuinely makes us happy. We care for pets together, which means extra attention, calm energy, and lots of love in our home. I also have guinea pigs now, so caring for animals is part of my everyday life. We treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into our routine. My husband cares for pets with me, and he works from home a few days a week while I work nearby as a nanny, so one of us is almost always home. This makes it easy for us to keep dogs on their normal schedule, give them attention throughout the day, and make sure they’re never left alone for long. I take safety and comfort seriously, and my husband and I work together to create a calm, tidy environment where pets can relax and feel secure. We follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, feeding times, walks, sleep habits, and any special instructions, and we always pay attention to how a pet is feeling so we can adjust as needed. We make sure doors are secured, no unsafe items are accessible, and pets are supervised throughout their stay. With my background in nannying, our experience pet sitting, and both of us being naturally observant and responsible, we’re very careful with every detail. Our goal is for every pet to feel safe, cared for, and genuinely loved while they’re with us.

Chatham cat parents share their Rover experiences
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend! I couldn’t be happier with the care my cats received. I needed someone to stop by twice a day while I was out of town to handle feeding, litter, and give one of my cats thyroid medication (which requires consistent twice-daily dosing), and she was absolutely fantastic. She was flexible with scheduling and showed up exactly on time for every visit, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. It’s not easy to find someone reliable—especially when medication is involved—but she handled everything perfectly. Best of all, my cats clearly loved her. She took the time to play with them and give them attention, which made a big difference. I would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring pet sitter.

Leigh is our go-to sitter. She takes wonderful care of our fur babies every time, leaves lots of pictures and helpful notes each day, and follows medication instructions for our cat with a thyroid condition to the letter. Leaving our pets in her care gives us complete peace of mind. We are grateful to have found her!
We were beyond pleased with the service (and so was our kitty). Stephanie came through for us at the last minute on top of that as well. Everything was kept neat and clean, and although our cat is not the most social kitty, she did not seem at all upset by the presence of a new person in our home and everything stayed right on schedule for her. I could not recommend Stephanie enough and we will definitely use her again in the future!
