About: I have been taking care of and pet sitting animals, whether it be my own, my family’s or friends basically my whole life. More recently, I have been involved with The Seeing Eye since 2018, as a puppy sitter as well as a volunteer Puppy Raiser, and I have been bathing and grooming dogs professionally since early 2021, working with little puppies for their first grooms all the way up to senior dogs who need a little more love and patience during the grooming process. I have several years of experience working with puppies on basic obedience, and potty training. In addition, I have a 6 year old german shepherd who I have raised and trained myself who I love with my whole heart. I currently work 5 days a week as a groomer, however my schedule can be flexible. I am available most nights after 6 pm and all day Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I do not pet sit in my own home, as I live in a small apartment. However, I would be more than happy to stay over a clients home if needed!

“Katie is excellent. She has been taking care of my pup for the past 3 weeks and knowing he is in her hands makes me feel very relieved on my long days at work. She provides detailed updates and has been incredibly flexible. I couldn’t ask for a better caretaker for my sweet sensitive boy. I would book her 1000 times over”

“Anne has done an amazing job with my little ones, making sure they were fed, had clean water, had their daily portion of favorite snacks/veggies and daily portion of cuddles. We love her !”

“V was fantastic. She came over to meet our two dogs before our scheduled visit and both dogs immediately loved her. It’s clear she’s a dog lover! We will absolutely be reaching out again in the future”
About: As a devoted dog owner, I understand how important it is to find someone who will treat your pet with patience, attention, and affection. I have four years of daily hands-on experience caring for my own dog and have also dog-sat German Shepherds, Dalmatians, and Jack Russell Terriers. I previously had a German Shepherd of my own, so I’m comfortable with both small and large dogs and understand that every breed has different needs and energy levels. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine while sending plenty of photos and updates. As a devoted dog owner, I understand how important it is to find someone who will treat your pet with patience, attention, and affection. I have four years of daily hands-on experience caring for my own dog and have also dog-sat German Shepherds, Dalmatians, and Jack Russell Terriers. I previously had a German Shepherd, so I’m comfortable with both small and large dogs. I work full-time from home, which allows me to be present and offer flexibility with walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and companionship when needed. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet’s routine while sending plenty of photos and updates. My home has a yard with an invisible perimeter system that my dog, Sebastian, is trained to respect. Because visiting pets are not trained to this boundary, they will always remain leashed and supervised while outside. Sebastian is obedient, follows a consistent routine, and is not crate trained. I provide daily walks when weather permits, regular playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m happy to follow each pet parent’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, sleeping arrangements, and crate use so their pet feels safe and comfortable.
“Jordyn is great with our cat and dog! Jordyn has been helping out with our dog for the past couple of months and was eager to help with our cat while we were traveling as well. She is always communicative and kind!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Nicole! This was our first time leaving our cat while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after her. She was punctual, very communicative throughout our trip, and clearly took great care of our cat—she seemed happy, relaxed, and well looked after when we got home. We would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be reaching out again for future trips!”

“Nicole was fantastic looking after my cat. He’s 16 and can be grumpy but she got him to socialize a bit and even eat treats from her hand. She’s really good with him and great at communication with me while I was away. Definitely will use Nicole’s services again.”

About: I've had dogs all my life, the most recently i had a awesome miniature poodle who I was fortunate to love and care for 17 years, so I am familiar with the needs of senior dogs. My schedule is fairly open every day after about 9 or ten am. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Green Village
Katie checked in on my cat once a day and sent messages and Rover cards a the end of each check in. She cleaned bowls and litter each day and stayed with my kitty feeding her in small increments for a half hour each day I was away. She kept my place clean and played music for my cat to keep her as calm as she could. My kitty was nervous and scared but Katie managed to make her feel cozy by the then of each visit. Next time I’m away I will hope to book Katie again and I highly recommend her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Green Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
