About: Hi! My name is Hannah, and I absolutely love animals of all kinds. I currently have 4 cats, 1 dog, and a horse, so caring for animals is a huge part of my everyday life! I have experience with pets of all personalities — from sassy calicos with lots of attitude to nervous, anxious furry friends who need extra patience and love. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet loves lots of playtime or prefers a calm and gentle approach, I’m happy to accommodate their needs. I’m currently available for drop-in visits and dog walks, and I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! :) I have a very flexible schedule. I am available Monday through Friday at any time. I can definitely do mid day drop ins! I am available on weekends as well! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for cats, dogs, and horses every day. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every pet has their own personality and needs — whether they’re playful, shy, anxious, or full of attitude!
“Lindsey did an amazing job with Max. She took her time to learn his personality, his walking preferences, and made sure he got good exercise. Max enjoyed his walks and loves Lindsey already.”

“Elizabeth is a fantastic dog walker! She is very communicative and provides lot of pictures and a full report of her time with my dogs. I trust her with my pups and will continue to use her 🥰”

About: As a speech therapist for 10 months out of the year, I primarily work with children and enjoy spending summers outdoors with my own dog, Cooper. I have 10 years of experience pet sitting and dog walking, through Rover as well as for friends and neighbors. I am comfortable maintaining your dog’s training and walking routines to ensure safe, fun walks together! (Cooper will stay at home, he is a whole lot of 100 lbs and receives his own walks. He does not resource guard and has never been a bite risk). I’m looking to dog walk and/or dog sit in the summer, when I am off from my public school job. This would be during the months of July and August, but depending on the hour I can be available before July (after 4:30 pm). During the summer I have a very flexible schedule. I have a fenced in yard and a split level home. I can keep our dogs separate or introduce them depending on your preference and whether they can acclimate (Cooper is a big boy but docile and friendly).

About: I’ve grown up in a house filled with dogs and cats my whole life. In the last year, I have turned taking care of animals into a part time gig and am looking to do more of it! I currently work some nights in the evening but usually fill my days with walks and drop ins and am looking to increase the amount of families I help. I promise to be very respectful of your home and take care of your pets the way I would hope someone would take care of mine.
“Anne was great with my dog when we needed a dog walker last minute! She was responsive, friendly, and great at dealing with our little energetic pup. I enjoyed the cute pictures she sent each day as well! Would definitely trust her for future walks.”

“Briana has been an absolute lifesaver! I booked her on very short notice when a work trip came up unexpectedly, and she was incredibly accommodating and easy to coordinate with. My dog, Phoebe, is quite shy and reactive, which can be challenging for anyone new, but Briana handled her with so much patience, care, and understanding. Knowing Phoebe was in such capable and reliable hands gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I will definitely be using Briana again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!”

About: Hi, I'm Xiomara and currently live in the Chatham, NJ area. I'm a huge lover of pets and have had many growing up and continuing over the years into adulthood. I currently have one cat at home, who is almost 14 years old and at times help take care of my family's Shih Tzu. Our previous family dog had diabetes, so I have experience administering medication should that be necessary. I love dogs and cats, whether they are young or old equally, and you can trust your pet will get the best treatment from me. I work from home with a pretty flexible schedule, so I'll have time to play with your fur babies and am available any day you may need. My home is smoke free, one level and has just enough space for your pet to run around safely. My cat will also be around to keep them company.

What sets me apart is my deep passion for animals and my commitment to making every pet feel safe, happy, and at home—even when their owners are away. I take time to understand each dog’s unique personality, routine, and preferences, offering personalized care that fits their needs. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I take extra care to respect their space and follow all provided instructions, ensuring their pet’s routine remains as consistent as possible. I keep an open line of communication with regular updates and photos, so owners always know how their pets are doing. I also prioritize trust by getting to know each pet before care begins, discussing their specific needs, routines, and any special concerns. Whether it’s ensuring doors and gates are securely closed, or knowing the signs of stress in animals, I go the extra mile to provide a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for every pet in my care.
“Madison has been walking Jake, our very active, 60lb collie/heeler mix, for a few weeks now and we are delighted we found her on Rover. She is very dependable and obviously experienced with energetic dogs. Jake loves her, he watches out the window at walk time and charges to the door as soon as he sees Madison coming! We would definitely recommend Madison.”
“Vivian had been an amazing dog walker for my pup. She comes about once a week and is trustworthy and reliable. She send us updates and pictures and we know our dog is in good hands. Our pup tends to be nervous around strangers but we know she is very comfortable with Vivian. I cannot recommend Vivian enough!”

My schedule is fairly open every day after about 9 or ten am. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
