I reached out to Heather at 4pm on a Tuesday and she was at my house for a meet and greet at 8am Wednesday. She was super accommodating from the first moment all the way to the end of the sitting. Throughout our vaca she sent pics and videos but was also totally self sufficient. The dogs had a great time with her. When we got home our dogs were happy to see us but not desperate for attention as they sometimes have been in the past after we’ve been away. About: Ive been taking care of my own pets as long as Ive been able, and began pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking for others in high school during 2022. I have experience with cats and dogs of varying ages (puppies/kittens-elderly pets) and needs (illnesses and disabilities), as well as more exotic pets like lizards, birds, rodents, and aquatic animals like fish, turtles, and axolotls. I’ve administered medications for dogs, but do not have experience with needles. I’ve spent up to a week taking care of several animals at a time, as well as short periods like nights and checking in daily. I will do all I can to provide your pet and home with the care they need! I’m currently in college, but primarily online, so my school schedule is flexible with your needs! I am not working outside of pet care so I am not tied down to other responsibilities and provide the time needed to care for your pets. I’ve lived with pets my whole life, so I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. When caring for pets in their own home, I’ll follow their usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of attention. I’m comfortable paying attention to a pet’s behavior and making sure they’re safe, comfortable, and secure. I’ll also treat your home with respect, double-check doors and gates, and follow any specific instructions you leave. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pets are being well cared for while you’re away.

When we moved here to Rhode Island, my mom continued to be a vet tech and brought her love of animals home while we fostered all kinds! My love for animals alongside learning to care for them is not only in my blood, but began at a very young age. I have 12 pets of my own at home! Cats, reptiles, ferrets, spiders, and a fish tank! About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine life without pets. I worked at a veterinary clinic in high school, where I gained hands-on experience with basic animal care, handling, and recognizing when a pet may need extra attention. For the past 8 years, I’ve consistently pet sat for friends, family, and clients, caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, ages, and needs. I’ve always had pets growing up, so being attentive, patient, and tuned in to animals’ routines comes naturally to me. I treat every pet I care for like my own—making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m a PhD student at Brown University- so I teach and take classes, but my schedule is pretty flexible as I’m only on campus during a class or for office hours. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I follow all feeding schedules, walking routines, and care instructions closely, and I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m attentive to changes in behavior or health and will communicate promptly if anything seems off. I keep the home tidy, refresh food and water bowls, clean up after walks or litter boxes, and ensure your pet’s environment stays safe and calm. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel at ease, knowing your pet is well cared for in their own space.
