About: I've had a dog in my life for the major majority of it. I've had 2 Shitzus, a German Shephard and an Akita. Quite the range. I traveled across the country with an Akita and that was such a great experience. I am very patient by nature and will care for you furry friend and give them all my attention and love. I have a somewhat flexible schedule. There are 3, sometimes 4 days a week where I’d be away for 6-7 hours. I like to be as transparent on everything. I’m not concerned about the dog having an accident in the house, it’s more of making sure they won’t be overly stressed out or anxious at that amount of time. I have a very secure fenced in yard that your pet will enjoy. There is a park directly across the street as well and I will also walk your dog around the Elmhurst neighborhood. I have a modest sized home with hardwood floors. Your pup is allowed on the furniture if its ok with you. A tired dog is a happy dog and I plan to play with your dog inside and outside the home. Your dog(s) or cat(s) will be my top priority. Other than work a few days a week which is stated above I’d be spending plenty of time playing and relaxing with your fur babies. I have a fenced in yard and live in a safe neighborhood. I have outdoor camera security system as well. I will take great care of your pet.

About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

In my client's homes, I always let them take the lead with their comfortability and with their pet's normal routine. I want to make sure your pet hardly notices you are gone and that they are 100% comfortable and happy with someone in their environment. Currently my Husky is staying with my mom in Virginia, so he will not be in the apartment. I want my space to feel as "homey" to them as possible, so whatever is needed to make that happen, I accommodate.

“Devorat what's absolutely amazing with our husky who can be a sassy girl sometimes but she was able to keep her happy, well fed, and give her the amount of exercise that she needs! She was so helpful so sweet. We definitely will use her again. I appreciated all the cute photos that she sent us of her. She spent a good amount of time with her during our wedding week and I just knew our pup was in great hands, which was one less thing for us to stress about.”

He was incredibly patient with her and helped her build trust and feel safe during her stay. He also helped her become more comfortable around other dogs, which meant a lot to us. Rafael was always quick to respond, speaks both English and Spanish, and kept us updated with beautiful photos throughout Zelda's stay. He was kind, enthusiastic, respectful, and very understanding. What we appreciated the most was that he accepted our last-minute booking, which helped us so much. We are extremely happy with the care Zelda received and will definitely book with Rafael again for both boarding and daycare. We highly recommend him!”

Kenny was very detailed and worked with me on my arrival times which was much appreciated when trying to travel out of town. They have a nice fenced-in yard for pups to play. Along with a nice tall deck where my dog loved to hang out and check out all the sites and smells. I would definitely have them watch my dog again.”
