“A truly 5 star experience. Cameron was easy to communicate with and work with. Just off vibe alone I knew my dog was in good hands when he was picked up. Throughout the day I was consistently updated with photos and videos of my dog out and about. I highly highly recommend Cameron to anyone in need of a dog-sitter. Next time I’m in Boston I will 100% be reaching out to him first. Finn will miss Cameron and Rosie a ton!!! 5 stars!!”

“Katie was so amazing with our anxious dachshund Willow. She made time for a meet and greet before her first visit and Willow warmed up to her so quickly (and that is no small feat!)”

“Cooper can be a lot of energy to handle sometimes, but Sophie did great with giving him long walks and allowing him some time to decompress and get used to her apartment so he could chill out for the rest of his stay. Very understanding and communicated well throughout the day.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my home for the past 21 years, namely an array of bully breeds both large and small. When I moved abroad in 2023, my English bulldog moved in with my family and I’ve been eager to welcome all of my friends’ dogs into my life and home ever since. I’m often dog-sitting for friends across New England and thought now is as good of a time as any to offer the same support to others! I’m a full-time remote employee with a spacious apartment that happens to have an enclosed deck and located across the street from a sprawling park with dedicated dog areas! I’m a typical millennial woman who is always willing to lend my time and space to some sweet pups. My apartment is dog friendly i.e., they’re welcome in all rooms, on the furniture, and to enjoy the fenced in deck on nice days. I love long walks and therefore long walk companions and maintain a quiet and calm home life.

“My sitter got sick and Jim stepped up very last minute to watch Freddie and was so wonderful. Very communicative and sweet with Freddie. His dog is super cute too! It’s always a little nerve racking using someone new, but I felt very comfortable leaving Fred with Jim. He also seemed to have a good time and was nice and calm when I picked him up. I would highly recommend Jim!”

“Emily and Robbie were great! Really responsive, sent a lot of photos, really made my dog feel comfortable and at home. I will definitely be using them again!”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life. I grew up beside them and learned how to care for them at a very early age. I have experience with many different breeds, sizes, personalities, ages; from dogs who were my family, from my friend’s dogs to dogs belonging to people in my local community. Since I’ve been living in Boston for almost a year now, I have scouted out great routes to walk dogs to local spots for play and enjoyment, especially in nature. Special skills include dog breed knowledge, basic commands training, clicker training, animal welfare, and basic wilderness first aid training. I work from home 70% of the time and my schedule is wonderfully quite flexible. I am able to meet basic needs like potty breaks or walks and easily adjust my routine around the dog’s needs. I have worked with many different dog personalities and characteristics before and can take care of your dog however needed. I allow dogs on the bed and couch, have plenty of treats on hand, have many pet friendly locations nearby to take them, etc.
About: I’m a lifelong dog owner with hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds, from energetic puppies to quirky seniors. I work from home, so I’m able to offer tons of attention, exercise, and consistency throughout the day. Having lived with everything from labs to Pyrenees mixes, I understand the importance of meeting each dog’s unique needs, whether that’s structured walks, gentle senior care, or patient socialization for shy pups. I’m comfortable with big dogs and independent personalities, and my own experience training puppies and supporting older dogs means your pup is in caring, knowledgeable hands. What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for a variety of breeds—including puppies and seniors—and my work-from-home flexibility means dogs get real companionship and attention all day. I understand big, independent, and quirky personalities, and I prioritize individualized care, from puppy training to gentle support for older dogs. I take the time to get to know every dog, building trust through patience, routine, and play. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life, not an afterthought. Since I work from home, I’m able to integrate walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day—whether it’s a morning stroll, afternoon games in the park, or relaxed evenings together. My routine is flexible, so dogs always get outside for fresh air and exercise and receive plenty of attention between my work sessions. On weekends, I love exploring new neighborhoods, local parks, or heading to the beach—always bringing dogs along for new adventures. Whether it’s active pups needing stimulation or seniors who prefer a calm presence, I adapt my days to make sure every dog feels comfortable, safe, and part of my everyday world. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and integrated into my daily routine—regular walks to nearby parks or the beach, supervised playtime, and cozy rest spots throughout my home. I keep to each dog’s familiar schedule as much as possible, including feeding times, exercise, and any training or medication routines. In a client’s home, I respect their space and routines, making sure pets feel secure in their own environment. I follow all instructions closely, from special diet needs to unique quirks or favorite toys, and keep in touch with updates and photos so owners know their pets are happy and cared for. Most importantly, I treat every dog like they’re my own—with patience, structure, and genuine affection—whether they’re here for a day, a weekend, or longer.

“We had a great experience with Margaret! She watched Josh for daycare and was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive throughout the day. Josh is still a puppy and can be a lot at times, but she treated him like he was her own and made him feel completely comfortable. I felt very confident leaving him with her and would absolutely book with her again!”

“Emma was a lifesaver! We needed to book hour of and Emma responded right away. We were not aware our Airbnb did not permit pets to stay unsupervised, we were only in Boston for the day and needed to find daycare in a hurry. Emma was responsive, kind and took great care of our dog. Super appreciative and highly recommend if in the area:)”

About: I’ve always had a deep love for dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I bring that passion to every pet I care for. I have experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, and seniors, providing plenty of playtime, walks, and cuddles. I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every dog like a member of my own family. My goal is to make sure your pup feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I currently work from home so I have plenty of time to care of anyone’s pet! I would do walks and tasks assigned in between meetings and play with them as I work ! I have experience with the parks around boston and am a very aware and alert trainer to make sure that every dog at any park is safe and getting along. I can pick up on their social cues fairly easy and will not let anyone off leash unless the owner says so.
About: Hi! I’m Anna! I work from home in a cozy 1-bedroom apartment, and I share my space with my cat. While I don’t have a yard, I live right next to a beautiful park. I typically go on two long walks a day (about 2 hours total), so your pup will always get plenty of exercise and fresh air. I’ve owned dogs my whole life and have experience with all types: puppies, seniors, big breeds, shy pups, and the extra-energetic ones! I used Rover back in college while living in Tampa, FL, and absolutely loved it. I just recently got back on the platform and couldn’t be more excited to start caring for pups again. What sets me apart? I’m extra with all my pets in the best way. I focus on making sure every animal is happy, comfortable, and fully spoiled with love. That means lots of cuddle, treats (if allowed!), and walks. I’m flexible, responsive, and genuinely passionate about giving pets the absolute best care. If you're looking for a true animal lover who will treat your pet like family, you’re in the right place! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I already take two long walks every day (about 2 hours total), so adding a pup to my routine is easy and honestly, way more fun! In My Home: I create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet who stays with me. I live in a cozy but clean 1-bedroom apartment that’s pet-friendly and great for lounging, playtime, and relaxing. I also have a curious cat who’s used to meeting new animals. Since I live right next to a beautiful park/North end waterfront pier, pets get daily walks and potty breaks. I follow each pet’s routine closely: feeding times, treat preferences, sleep habits, and any special instructions. Because I work from home, pets get tons of attention, enrichment, and companionship throughout the day. In Clients’ Homes: When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and your pet with the same love and care I’d give my own. I'll stick to your routine/instructions: meals, medications (if needed), walk times, and favorite activities. I keep the home tidy, follow all instructions, and make sure your pet feels safe and relaxed. You’ll also get regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. No matter where the care happens, your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority.
About: I grew up with cats, and currently have one now. I am a big cat-lover, and am happy to check-in on, watch, feed, and play with your cat(s) while you are away. Whether your cat is anxious, shy, energetic, etc., I am happy to be there for them however I can, and fulfill your/their needs to the best of my ability. Also happy to walk, feed, watch, and play with your dog, and can ensure they will be in good hands. I did not grow up with a dog, but have extended family members and friends with dogs that I have cared for regularly. I am very reliable, patient, and respectful, and am happy to provide updates during check-ins. I am happy to do a meet and greet beforehand if you’d like. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, or if you are looking for a sitter! :) I am pre-med and my schedule is currently pretty open/available since I recently left my full-time healthcare job in search for part-time while I study for the MCAT for medical school. I am flexible and am happy to accommodate you and your schedule as best I can. I am very reliable and communicative. I will arrive on-time (i.e. your preferred time(s)) to care for your pet(s) and will ensure that they are well cared for. I will be respectful of your instructions, and of your home. I am not offering pet-sitting services in my own home.
“Stephanie was great! Super accommodating for a late notice booking. Fergus was well taken care of and had an amazing time with her pup! He is happy and had a great day care experience!”

About: Hi there! I have had dogs all my life and have cared for a variety of breeds. I also have spent time at the shelter as well as fostering dogs of all sizes, aggression level, and age. I am currently looking to spend some quality time and provide care to your companions as I transition my career path. Furthermore, I am active and am able to provide your dog with exercise besides just walking if requested :) I also know doggy CPR and have experience with crisis situations with dogs. I do own a vehicle as well (best for emergency situations). I currently live in Somerville from North Carolina and hope to meet you all! During my career shift, I will be free all day. I had raised my own dog before moving here and fit him into both my busy and free schedules that I had during those years. At this point I will have flexible availability allowing me to take on dogs with more needs. Taking care of a dog requires attention, patience, discipline, exercise, and fun. I make sure to incorporate all of these elements into taking care of my or your pets. I also consider the dog’s personality as well as I have taken care of quite a number of dogs and have learned that one size doesn’t fit all. I take pride in discussing a dogs individual needs when being hired for a care job and will abide by them to ensure your pup is happy and safe.
Central dog parents share their Rover experiences
We had a great experience with Margaret! She watched Josh for daycare and was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive throughout the day. Josh is still a puppy and can be a lot at times, but she treated him like he was her own and made him feel completely comfortable. I felt very confident leaving him with her and would absolutely book with her again!

Roman had a wonderful time! I loved the updates and the pictures throughout his stay! It definitely makes my fur mom heart a little more settled knowing the great care he is in and updates on what he’s doing during his time! Definitely came home nice and sleepy!!

I am very happy with Lynn's care of Fiona. Her attentiveness and care for our 9-month-old puppy was evident, and--even more important--Fiona seemed to thoroughly enjoy her day with Lynn (which was long: from 8am to 8pm). A few days before the 'big day' Lynn arranged a 'meet and greet' at a nearby park, and Fiona took to her immediately. So, when it came time for us to leave Fiona in Lynn's care, the transition was seamless, and Fiona went along happily. I will definitely ask Lynn to watch Fiona on my future trips to Cambridge/Somerville.

Wendy has been an amazing pet sitter for Bruno. She is very proactive in sharing regular pictures and updates, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She is also very flexible and accommodating with pickup and drop-off schedules, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. What we truly appreciated was how engaged she kept Bruno—she spent time playing with him and ensured he felt comfortable and happy. It’s clear that she genuinely cares for the pets she looks after. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

William and Krystal have been watching my three-year-old dachshund, Enzo, every week for the past month or so, and I truly cannot recommend them enough. They are incredibly thoughtful and communicative in the best possible way. I never worry when Enzo is with them because they consistently share updates, photos, and details about how he’s doing, which gives me so much peace of mind. They genuinely treat Enzo like he’s their own — taking him to the park, giving him so much love and attention, and making sure he’s happy and comfortable. Enzo can be pretty anxious, so it says a lot that he’s always so calm, relaxed, and excited to see them. They’re also extremely observant and attentive to his needs, which I really appreciate as an anxious dog mom myself. They’ve even given Enzo baths before, which is such a thoughtful touch and just shows how much they care. I completely trust them with my dog, and more importantly, Enzo clearly trusts and loves them too. I would highly recommend William and Krystal to anyone looking for caring, reliable, and genuinely wonderful pet sitters.

Katie is fantastic!! We wish we could rate her more than 5 stars!! Our 7-month puppy had never been in anyone else’s house, and we had no idea what to expect. We are also first-time pup moms, so we were very nervous. Katie was very understanding and attentive with him, and gave us updates, pictures, and videos throughout the day! We felt at ease knowing our puppy was under her care. When we came to pick him up he seemed to have had a great time and looked very comfortable with her :) You can tell she cares deeply about dogs, and their comfort and safety! Absolutely fantastic experience.

Alexandra was great. Communication was prompt and clear. She took my dog for a “get to know each other walk” right after drop-off. Another walk right before pick-up. I felt complete confidence in Alexandra and would absolutely book again if I needed dog-care in Boston.

Dania was so considerate with our dog, Fig. Fig has a lot of energy (especially on walks) and can take a bit to settle down. We are always nervous leaving her with someone new, but Dania was so proactive about communicating how Fig was doing we were never worried. If you're looking for someone to treat your dog like their own, definitely choose Dania!
