About: With nine years of PROFESSIONAL hands-on experience, not just ownership; in pets of all kinds, I bring a deep passion and expertise to caring for your furry family members. EXPERIENCE: In 2019, I earned my Veterinary Assistant License, which expanded my knowledge in animal care and medical support. Over the course of four years, I worked in both boarding and veterinary services, gaining invaluable experience in managing a variety of pets and understanding their unique needs. Additionally, I spent two years assisting in dog training, helping pets develop positive behaviors and strengthening their bond with their owners. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching high school Animal Science for 3 years, where I shared my knowledge and love for animals with students. My diverse background allows me to provide top-notch care, from day-to-day sitting to specialized medical and behavioral support, ensuring your pets are always in trusted hands. After moving to Amarillo in 2025 I began working with horses part time and I NOW PET SIT PART TIME. BOARDING: Included in the boarding fun- a BIG FENCED backyard!!! 30+ Toys for pups to choose from. “Makalli was incredible with my dog! I was so worried! I've never left my dog with anyone before. I am not local and was just passing through and needed someone to look after my dog while I went to an appointment. The appointment went long past expected and Makalli was so flexible and gracious about the whole situation! She put me at ease and did really well with my dog, who can be a bit of a rowdy one sometimes! Five out of five recommend!”

About: Hello! My name is Lexi and I’m looking forward to meeting your pets! Please be aware that I do not drive. This allows me to be home with your pets 24/7 if you feel that is needed since I don’t take other clients at the same time unless one is only during the day while the other is overnights. But if you’re pet isn’t used to be alone all day, they’ll be my main priority and I won’t take other bookings during your own. Otherwise, I might get picked up to have dinner with my family or other errands during the booking if it’s a longer one. If it’s just a few days I won’t go anywhere unless I have an appointment. You’ll have daily updates with at least one picture collage per day. If you’d like more, you can absolutely request it and I’ll be happy to send more updates throughout the day. I have experience giving medications as long as they are pills, giving baths, and brushing fur. Animal-wise I have experience with most animals including different dog sizes, cats, birds(including chickens!), fish, reptiles, amphibians, and small animals like bunnies. Most of my repeat clients were private (off rover) and some of them have left me testimonials on here. Those are the reviews that don’t say ‘verified stay.’ They have offered to be references for me too if you would like to contact them before proceeding with the booking! I require meet and greets before the booking starts and ask that you write or type out care instructions for me to use. Additionally, I need an emergency contact and vet info. Someone you trust to help me if an emergency with your pets or your home happens since I don’t drive. Thank you for reading and I hope I get to meet you and your pets soon! I require meet and greets prior to the house sitting. Since pet care is my full time job, I can squeeze your care request into my schedule easily. Unless you tell me otherwise, you'll get updates every day with pictures and cute pic collages! I typically do at least one update and picture collage a day.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. Was raised in the country so we always had animals around. Cared for my dog and cat since they were babies, and have cared for my sisters 12 year old dog many times. I work from home unless I’m traveling, which I know my travel schedule far in advance. I’ll be around all day to love on and care for your babies like I would my own. When your fur babies are in my care, they will be treated as my own. Cuddling is always allowed. We’d take regular visits to the dog park if you feel comfortable or just throw the ball all day if that’s what she/he needs.

About: I've had pets since I was in third grade. Over the past few years friends have trusted me to take care of different kinds of pets from dogs, cats and even a horse. I have cared for animals of different temperaments and even a few with special needs. Working for a school district, I have a fairly flexible schedule, especially in the summer. I am available in both the mornings and the evenings so I can take care of fur babies almost any time throughout the day. I live with my parents, and my dad has decided to not have another pet, so I am unable to care for other people's pets in my home currently. That being so, I am more than willing to come to your home so your pet can stay in a familiar space. I will follow any and all instructions to ensure that your animal is as safe and happy as they can be.

About: I have taken care of many animals in my life. I was in 4h and FFA growing up so I have an ag background. I raised sheep, a goat, and chickens for show. Additionally I have done pet sitting for many people over the years. I have helped train puppies, and care for elderly pets. I once bottle fed a puppy for a month and I had a 12 year old cat and an 18 year old lab. I have volunteered at shelters. I am also a pre veterinary animal science student. I am a student at WT this fall and I work when I’m not at school. Luckily my hours are pretty lenient so I use my time to gain more experience with animals. When I help you with your pet you are helping me with my future career. As someone who has pets of my own I know their safety is extremely important. I can medicate pets who need it, I have my own dog with medicine. I can take them on walks and play with them. Or if it’s preferred we can take it easy. I think it’s always best to keep an eye on pets.
