“Taylen went above and beyond during our booking. She took great care of our puppy and also kept us informed of how our house was after a recent storm. She provided detailed daily updates and photos. She adapted to our challenging snd changing needs during our booking and we are so grateful for the extra attention. We would definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Claudia was wonderful. Sent us pictures every day. She even dropped by late on 4th of July to check on them for an additional check. I will request her again for our drop in service.”

I can also come in and let out the pets for potty breaks, or administer medications.

“Great dog walker, my dog fell in love the min she met him, he comes on time and checks in and he took great care of my dog. I will definitely request Malik again when I have to go out of town”

“Eric is amazing! He took excellent care of our high energy girls. He threw the ball for them and made sure they had everything they needed while we were gone. We also loved the pictures he sent us of our pups!”

“We've booked Makalli several times and even had to change one schedule kind of midstream, and she's always so flexible! She's great about coming over and reacquainting pre-trip if it's been a while since the pets have seen her. And she's wonderful with our shy kitties. She's patient and gentle, giving them space without ignoring them. Also, I always receive pictures and updates on time. For this latest booking, Makalli went above and beyond her pet responsibilities, as we were out of town and someone toilet papered our house. She let us know, then picked up the tp from the yard without our even asking. We are so appreciative and grateful we found her here on Rover! :)”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Canyon
Victoria did a wonderful job of watching our cat, Apollo, while we were out of town. He had some minor concerns before we left, but Victoria kept us informed about his daily eating habits and litterbox use while we were gone. Apollo seemed to be happy to see us when we returned, but I know he was well cared for during our absence. Thank you, Victoria!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
