About: I love dogs! I grew up with dogs in my home. I have one of my own! I self train him and he’s wonderful! I will always treat your fur babies like my own! I am a stay at home fur mom! I love going for walks at anytime of the daylight! I travel minimally so I am around a lot! I will follow any and all guides given to me about your home. I will always make sure the space is cleaned before departing your home!
“My two boxers, Jax and Bella, absolutely love Alyona! We just moved to Roswell, NM from Georgia for work and we were worried about leaving our babies alone all day in a new house while we were gone all day working but then we found Rover and they took right to her at our meet and greet which made me so happy and they done great with their first day of drop ins. We feel good about trusting her with our babies and can see the love she has for animals. We’re looking forward to having her as our pet sitting while we’re here! She’s a very sweet, caring young lady!”

“Taylor is very attentive to the needs and care of our cats, Boo and Kalie. We do not have to worry when we are away from home regarding feedings, water and cleanup. Our cat Kalie enjoyed her play and cuddle time with Taylor during each visit. Pictures are a plus! Highly recommend 👌”

About: I have extensive experience with elderly dogs needing their medicine and getting all the extra love- but I have experience taking care of puppies as well! I normally have a full time job, but when I am available taking care of your pets will be my biggest priority! I will make sure they’re all good to go before I leave for work, and when I come by after! I have a fenced yard and a very sweet dog who will be separate from your pets to reduce stress! If I am at your home, my pets will not come with. Your pets are my priority, including extensive cleaning and safety checks throughout my stay as permitted.
“Eric is amazing! He took excellent care of our high energy girls. He threw the ball for them and made sure they had everything they needed while we were gone. We also loved the pictures he sent us of our pups!”

About: I have been around animals my whole life and have always been an animal lover! I am one of those people whose pets are their family and I love getting to love on others pets as well. I have always cared for family and friends pets when needed and had many repeat clients by word of mouth in my hometown. I would love the opportunity to love on your fur babies! Hi there! I am currently completing a clinical rotation for OT school. I will be working Monday-Thursday, 8am-6pm. I am free outside of those hours to care for your fur babies! I will not be able to provide care in the place I am renting. But in the client home I am open to providing care in the way the client needs. The best part about being able to leave your pet home is keeping their routine!!
“This was my first time using a sitter for my pups and Brooklynn was very professional and attentive with making sure Dixie and Mollie were taken care of. She sent lots of pictures and did a great job! Will definitely use her again for future stays”

About: Every animal MUST have a collar with a phone number on it in order to board at my house. I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life and I am currently working as a professional dog trainer. I have experience with reactive and aggressive dogs, as well as special needs dogs. I have flexible work hours; thus giving me the liberty to cater to YOUR schedule and your dog's routine. As a dog trainer, I understand how important routine and structure is to animals, especially younger puppies or senior dogs! For dog walking, I do offer to do training sessions during the walk (hence why my prices are higher). If your dog has issues with pulling on-leash, this is definitely something I can work on! I tend to wake up early, so each dog has their own outdoor time. Outdoor time is limited during the winter, and always supervised. Under 40 degrees, no dogs are out longer than potty/play requirements. Above 90 degrees, dogs only go outside to potty and play. I train and play with my own dogs daily, but just for safety reasons I do not allow client dogs to play with my own dogs. However, your dog will get individual playtime/sibling playtime, and I will maintain any manners/training by request. (Ex. Huck has to sit by the door before he can go out)
“Abby was patient with my shy, anxious girl while we were away. She responded quickly to messages and put in extra effort trying to locate Koko in the house when she arrived for daily visits. Prior to booking, Abby was gracious about waiting for me to finalize dates after the M&G due to another fur baby being very ill. Happily recommend.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
