“Rachel is wonderful!!! Our little dog was so happy the entire time we were gone. She took the time to take him on walks, she gave him a toy to play with because I had forgotten his. He was so happy in every picture and video she sent to us! I just can’t say enough about her. She’s a special person. It was like she loved Charlie as much as we do!”

About: I have worked in the pet industry for over 20 years. I owned a grooming and boarding facility for 14 years and after having children have transitioned to home-based grooming and boarding. I currently groom from my home and plan to homeschool my children. I am rarely not home except to run errands or classes/outings for my children. I have a fenced yard and multiple safety measures in place. Dogs are crated when not roaming in the house or yard. I have one medium sized spayed/female who is 3 years old and very socialized.

About: I've had pets since I was 10 years old. I have experience sitting for friends and family. I've attended training classes with two of my own dogs. I currently work part-time so I'll have plenty of time to play and care for your furry baby, feed them, take potty breaks and love on them. I have a fenced yard and plenty of space for your furry baby to run morkie and play with my 5 or old playful morkie.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and they’ve always been treated as family. I truly love and care for every dog as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve raised dogs of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience and attention, as well as rescue dogs who benefit from a calm, loving environment. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I understand that every dog has unique needs, routines, and quirks, and I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with a companion, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and live in a neighborhood with walking trails for regular exercise. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and can even enjoy curling up in my lap while I work. On warm days, I also have a pool available for safe cooling off and comfort. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand how important it is to know your furry family member is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I will follow your dog’s normal routine and care instructions closely, and I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can feel connected and reassured. My goal is to create a loving, comfortable environment where your pup feels right at home.

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life, including my own dogs, cats, etc. I work from home so I have the ability to provide an attentive environment as a pet sitter. I have a Boston Terrier and a child in the home. We have a safe, fenced yard. As a nurse, I am also comfortable providing care for animals that need medications. I have extensive experience with pets that have complex needs. I can provide boarding in my home or drop-in visits. I work weekdays from home. My schedule is very flexible and currently booking throughout the weekdays and weekends. I can accommodate most last-minute needs. I have a fenced yard with grass. I have one small indoor dog and a child that loves animals. We can provide walks, playtime and all other specific needs.
About: I’ve cared and watched over many different breeds of pets. I am a fond advocate of good animal care and strongly against abuse and neglect of any kind. I’m not biased to only dogs, but love animals of every kind. I’m currently working part time and also attend school, but I am not tied down to a 9-5 so I can generally work around things if need be. I have great time management and work well maintaining a schedule/routine. In my home: I will make sure they are well fed as instructed and get plenty of fresh air and socializing with me. In client’s home: I am great at following directions however the client would like or asks of.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Amarillo
For the first time in two years we feel we finally found the perfect caregiver for our Newt. Jacob and his family took great care of our dog, sent photos, and updates. This was the first time that our dog hasn’t lost weight when we left him and when we picked him up he kept running back to Jacob. That told me he really loved him. I will definitely being booking again with Jacob.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
