“Paula is amazing! I loved all of the photos she sent, and she was great at communicating. My dogs looooved her. She tidied the house and had the sheets in the wash— really appreciated her extra effort.”

“I tried Rover app for a first time with Erica and I had great experience. Through this house sitting my kitties were happy, I got plenty of updates. I felt at ease the entire time!”

“She was really nice and took notes on everything we went over. Took amazing care of our disabled dog and kept the duo active while we were away. The pups loved playing with her!”

“Great job staying with and taking good care of our dogs, lots of pictures and updates over the course of the stay. It was wonderful knowing they were being well cared for while we were away from them.”

“laurin took great care of my dogs - two senior pups. she made sure special instructions were followed and ensured there were frequent checkins. great communication and left home clean. pups were very loved with laurin!”
“Outstanding house sitting care for my 10 year old Korean Jindo who still is very active. She clearly bonded very well and communicated with us often including sending pics of my dog happily doing different things. The house looked very clean and tidy when we returned. She will be our pick again.”

“Alicia was awesome. We booked a weekend trip about a week in advance & Alicia made sure to make my booking work. She was very attentive to all my animals and I came back to a clean home with happy pets. Thank you very much for the hard work because I know multiple pets aren’t easy! I would recommend and I will be rebooking with her next trip!”

“Katey was amazing. She was very communicative and attuned to my pets needs and personalities. She was reliable and I came home to happy pets. I would definitely use her again!!”

“Ashlyn was very responsive and made herself available at the last minute to watch our dog and cat, plus a tortoise and 2 fish. In addition to caring for our sick dog, she also looked after our house, watered our plants and in general came to the rescue at the last minute for us.”

“This was our first time using Rover and our first experience with an in‑home overnight sitter, and Brian delivered exceptional service. His communication was consistent and clear, he was reliable and he arrived exactly as scheduled. We returned to two well‑cared‑for dogs and a home exactly as we left it. Brian set a high standard for our first experience, and we would confidently book with him again.”

“Mollie checked in frequently with pictures. Communication was often and clear. It was clear she knows a lot about caring for animals and asked all the right questions during our meet and greet. Will definitely be using Mollie again.”

“Alexa and Connor, once again, crushed it! Our animals love them and they’re such good stewards of our home when we’re away. 12/10 would recommend them to anyone! They are so attentive and responsive. Positive experience every time.”

“If I could give Becky 10 stars I would. She took such good care of our pups. My wife and I were thrilled with all the pictures and videos. We will definitely use Becky again. Thanks Becky!!!!!🙏🏿✝️🙏🏿✝️”

“Christina did a fabulous job watching over a very busy and very mouthy GSD puppy. She also looked after our older cat, administering insulin injections to keep his blood sugar under control. Thank you, Christina!”

“Stephanie took wonderful care of our two young cats in our home. They have a ton of energy and require a lot of playtime, and Stephanie clearly gave them a lot of attention and care. Additionally, one of our cats has pica, and Stephanie was very conscientious about that and was able to get her to take her liquid medication each morning (not an easy task). She provided detailed updates and lots of pics, and we felt very at ease knowing our kitties were safe in her care. We highly recommend Stephanie to everyone and we would love to work with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Camp Murray
Pazao was fantastic with our trio over the holiday weekend. So glad we found such a caring sitter! She let me know of any questions she had regarding the house or animals, made sure everyone was happy and safe during fireworks and sent me updates regularly to keep my mind at ease. We will definitely be booking again soon!

Jasmine was such a great sitter for Dakota! Always kept me updated on their day with plenty of photos - which I loved. If I were to have forgotten anything, I would have been at peace knowing her home was well stocked with plenty of pet essentials. And she had a great space for Dakota to be comfortable. I would 100% book again!

Litsi was amazing! She took such great care of our dogs & chickens and treated our home like her own. She went above and beyond and kept everything organized before we got back. Her communication was thoughtful and reliable, and she truly made our time away feel easy and worry-free. We came home to happy dogs and a spotless space. We’re so appreciative and would love to have her sit for us again!

Zoey response was very prompt on my short notice request. Within hours she made arrangements for a meet and greet. She was very attentive with our discussion of the boys feeding plan and a walk around the neighborhood. Wonderful to see photos of the boys. We have plans for her to take care of the boys again.

We had a funeral so our booking was short notice and Alexus still accomodated our last minute schedule (and this was the first time she watched our pups). She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures/videos/updates. We’ve had really bad experiences with other sitters where you can tell they didn’t really do what you asked but we can tell Alexus did. We know our dogs weren’t on the couch and they were walked the way they need to (so they don’t chew anything up). The house was spotless. She took out the trash, started a load of dishes, and stripped the bedding. Our dogs LOVED her when she came to do a meet and greet too!! We appreciate it so much and hope to keep using Alexus for our pups!

Alysa was an absolutely wonderful house sitter! She took such great care of all our animals and clearly treated them like her own. Our home was left spotless, communication was prompt and friendly, and we loved receiving updates and photos—especially of our pups enjoying their walks! It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would 100% trust Alysa with our animals again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. 🐾✨

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Camp Murray walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Camp Murray maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Camp Murray choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
