About: I have always wanted to look after animals since I was a kid. My husband and I fostered rescue dogs in Alberta to help get adopted. I have also cared for a variety of small caged animals over the years. As your house sitter, I will be present in your home for the entire duration of the stay. This is great if your pup does not like to be left alone. I am able to administer simple medications if needed. I am also able to care for small caged animals in my own home and we can discuss this arrangement if you are needing this service. House/pet sitting is my priority. When you hire me, I will not need to leave your residence for other employment. This is great if your pup does not like to be left alone. I will care for your pets following the daily routine that you have already established for them. If the pets are used to a morning walk then I will take them on a morning walk if that is preferred. If your pets are happy to simply play in their yard while you are away I would be happy to do that as well. I usually like to arrange a short meet and greet prior to the first overnight stay to familiarize myself with your pets and their home.

“Laura is a very confident, experienced walker. She has walked my very large breed dog with another dog and it was very successful. She is ready to take on a challenge and very knowledgeable and resourceful.”

“Vanessa was punctual and had awesome communication! She sent me update photos of our dog Grizzly on his walk and he is tuckered out now! Will definitely be booking with her again to take grizz for another adventure!🐾”

About: I grew up with three dogs and have tons of experience with puppies, seniors, and everything in between. I’m super active and love taking dogs for long, energizing walks or even runs if they’re up for it. Whether your pup needs a solid workout or just gentle company, I’ll tailor the outing to their needs. Plus I’m happy to brush, clean up, and give them all the love they deserve. I’m a student currently off for the summer with a totally open schedule. I don’t have any pets of my own right now, so I’m looking for creative and fun ways to spend time with the creatures I love. Whether it’s walks, play, or just hanging out, I’m happy to give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I have a car and can easily drive to nearby dog parks for some safe off-leash fun, or I’m happy to walk your dog on leash around your neighborhood or in any enclosed area. I’m also more than happy to play with your dog in your fenced yard. Your pet’s safety and comfort always comes first.

“Amy was instantly liked by our two Bernese Mountain doggies! She was warm, confident, and had great energy with our doggies! We will definitely be using Amy again, and highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you, Amy, for making this experience so positive for both Nala and Bear, and of course, for putting us at ease!”

About: Hello Pet Parents! My name is Kassie and I have been caring for animals ranging from hamsters to cats and dogs since I was a young child. My love for all animals has taken me into a career specialized in preventing cruelty to animals; through the BC SPCA. I've had dogs and cats throughout my life and if you choose me to watch your babies, they will be well taken care of! I work from home so my schedule is flexible! I love long walks and can throw a ball for hours! I look forward to hearing about your fur babies! I work Sunday - Thursday, 8:00am-4:30pm. I would walk your pets or come to your home to check on/feed them before work and after work if I were attending to them at your home. If they’re at my home, I have the flexibility to play with them at any point in the day & take them out In my home, your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I create a calm, pet-friendly environment free of hazards, with cozy resting spots, secure outdoor access (if needed), and plenty of stimulation to keep them happy and relaxed. I follow each pet’s routine closely, from feeding to playtime, and ensure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. Whether they’re here for a day or a week, they’re treated like family.

About: I’m 55, and a lifelong pet owner. I have two dog-friendly cats Octavia & Murphy, and a sweet Chihuahua girl Bellamy. Having relied on pet sitters myself, I understand the importance of finding a trustworthy, responsible, and experienced sitter. Your pet's happiness, safety, and well-being are my top priorities. Whether it's catering to the needs of a senior dog, providing training for a lively puppy, or simply offering comfort and companionship, I approach each interaction with patience, compassion, and expertise. I take pride in maintaining the daily routines of the pets I care for, ensuring stability and comfort in their environment. Whether it's a home visit, doggy day care, or overnight stay in my home, your pet will receive personalized attention and plenty of love. ______________________________________________ ** Boarding (My home) - Dogs must be good with cats and not chase them.** ** House Sitting (Your home) - My Chihuahua comes with me. She’s quiet and very well-behaved.** ______________________________________________ Taking care of pets isn't just something I do on the side – it's my full-time job. I'm dedicated to them all day, every day. From morning to night, I focus on making sure they're well-fed, exercised, and content. Playing, cuddling, and giving them attention is what I do best because it's my passion and my only priority. With your pet's well-being in mind, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly space conducive to their needs. Whether it's ensuring secure fencing in my yard for outdoor play or utilizing safe and reliable equipment during walks, I take every precaution to keep your pet protected. Additionally, I adhere strictly to any dietary or medical requirements, administering medications if needed, and providing a calm and nurturing environment.

About: I grew up loving dogs from the start. I always made friends with neighbours, friends, and family members’ dogs and hardly met one with which I didn’t get along. My family had multiple dogs since I was a pre-teen and always loved being the one to take them on walks and go on adventures with them. As an adult with my own home, I have my dog-ter Marcie, and have cared for a foster, as well as babysat a couple of friends’ dogs to boot. Message me if you would like to arrange a meet & greet ahead of any walks or drop-ins so your dog doesn’t think I’m an invader! Currently I have an open availability since I am in a transition period, and can take on numerous activities. I am not officially available Sundays but can consider a request. I am flexible in accommodation for different pets, and will be able to adapt to specific care instructions with which I may be provided. At my own home, I have a small fenced yard but a large open field outside my gate great for dog play. I also have a medium-sized crate available should one be needed. I would largely exclude my won dog from walks with dogs on rover unless they met in a safe environment first to ensure comparability.

“Trina was so wonderful! I knew I could trust her and did not feel an ounce of worry being away at school knowing she’d be taking my fur baby out for his first dog walker walk! She clearly knows what she’s doing and Bogus had a wonderful time! He cannot wait for his next walk!”

“Etienne did great with our pup! He was happy to meet with us before the walk day to make sure Etta knew him and was really easy going. Etta had a lot of fun and was very well taken care of. Will definitely rebook next time we're in Tofino!”

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 12. Growing up we had cats and dogs and it was my job in the family to walk our family's dogs. I've cared for puppies (including providing puppy training) and senior dogs. I'm happy to go for multi kilometer hikes, throw frisbees/balls in a field, or just cuddle on the couch. I also have experience looking after dogs with a variety of health issues and looking after their special needs (blindness, special diets etc). I currently work from home 4 out of the 5 days and my schedule is 8-4:30. During lunch or after work I am available to go for walks or check in as needed. On the weekends I have even more freedom for longer walks/hikes and time together. I do have 3 children (aged 5-13) every other week so the dog would have to be kid friendly for those weeks. My kiddos have been raised with dogs and would be extra friends for them to play with! I will care for the pets like they are my own. I currently have a senior pug named Hank and he spends most of his days sleeping so it would be great for him to meet new friends as well. Our daily routine would likely include letting them outside, feeding, going for walks/playing with dog toys, snuggling and unless the pet is crate trained, I would likely make them a bed for nighttime.

Guess it’s my wild soul they see in me? I have administered medication and ointments as well. I also speak cat and dog very fluently I work from home so I am very flexible with my schedule and can do my work anywhere I want so that makes pet care very easy to fit around my work life I walk the perimeter of the yard and make sure gates are latched before the dog is let out and I stay in the yard with them when they are let out (for safety supervision and outdoor playtime).
