About: Hi! I have taken care of dogs for years and am looking to walk and hang out with your pups! I adopted my own high energy dog 5 months ago and hike 1-2 hours daily with her, should you be interested in a daily pal for your dog. I also offer training services and solo dog walks or check ins. I am high energy and very attentive and loving. Would love to work something out! I work from home and am out with my dog 1- 2 hours in the morning (happy to walk dogs together) and am free after 4 as well. My weekends are all dog hikes and beach walks! I adapt to you and your dogs needs. I can easily crate your dog if needed but like to be a calm and fun presence for your pups! I have worked with high energy dogs on trails and low energy pals who like to cuddle.
About: I grew up with a family dog and six years ago, I got one of my own. I adopted her when she was 8 weeks old, so I have been through the puppy faze. I have trained her and am currently rehabbing her over an injury so I can also administer medicine. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to stop by and give your dog some love while you are away. I’m available for drop by visits and walking your dog. I would love to meet you and your dog before hand so that way we can make sure your pup feels comfortable around me when you aren’t home and you have a chance to meet me as well.
About: I had a family dog for a while and am considering adopting a pet soon. Unfortunately, my schedule and life don't allow me to have a dog of my own at the moment, but I would love to spend time with your pups and pets. I work from home on M/W/F so have flexibility on these days to check in on your pets and go for walks. I'm also available on weekends. I do have a full-time job and use Rover as a way to spend time with furry friends and get outside - because it's fun for me and I don't use this as primary income I can offer affordable rates and hopefully a great time for your pup or other furry friend. That said, my availability fluctuates a bit depending on my schedule, but I do my best to keep my calendar updated! I'm also typically not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Unfortunately, I'm not able to take care of pets in my own home. I'm flexible with taking care of pets in your home. I'm happy to do drop in visits, stay with your pet during the day, or go for 15-20 minute walks throughout the work day, with a longer morning and evening walk. I love being outside and I love furry friends and am happy to keep you updated throughout the day so you know your pet is safe and healthy.

About: Hi there, my name is Veronica - With nearly 20 years of combined dog & cat owning, sitting, walking and training experience, I have maintained a love and respect for all animals with whom I have lived, loved and worked with. It's a treasure, and big responsibility, to care for a pet - allow me to care for yours as I do with my own! I work as an Academic Advisor at a community college. I am available before or after these days/times and weekends. Thank you for your interest! I have an fenced yard and prefer to house and/or pet sit in other people's homes. There is an indoor kitten and indoor/outdoor cat in my home. Thank you.
About: I have 4+ years caring for cats and dogs alike, specifically in cat care. I’ve cared for kittens and older cats that need extra care and love. I am a registered mental health clinician and have a passion for loving and caring for others, especially the animals! I’m currently a full time state employee and working solely in office. With my hour lunch break, I would be able to check in on the lil babies and be able to be there both before and after work! My home is not suitable for pet care. I live in a home with 2 other animals that are not welcoming other animals into their space.
“Damajah did great with my very shy German shepherd! She won her over and Ava looked forward to their time together. Not an easy task for my girl. Super happy with the attention and reliability of her care.”

About: I have feeding, walking, playing and poop cleaning experience. I have been around small and large, young and old dogs most of my life. I know all are different in their needs but they all need love and I can provide that. I have no other job so I have all the time needed for your pet. I'm available days, nights, weekends and emergency care available. I haven't had a pet not like me yet. I can follow any routine already set in place. I can give extra time and love to any animal. I will not take the care of your member of the family lightly.
About: Growing up in Port Angeles near the Olympic National Park, I have always had a strong love for animals. I received my Bachelor’s degree in biology and would like to attend veterinary school in the near future. Through internships, volunteering, work experience, and personal experience, I’ve cared for a variety of species including cats, dogs, amphibians, reptiles, beavers, big cats, and wolf-dogs. I have 1.5 years experience working as a cat caregiver at a no-kill nonprofit animal rescue. During my time as a caregiver, I worked with special needs cats, senior cats, and kittens. I am currently working as a veterinary assistant at a local veterinary clinic. I have worked with dogs and cats with a variety of health conditions and temperaments. I have two cats of my own. I also work as a veterinary assistant full-time where I provide medical care to animals. This includes giving vaccines, drawing blood, trimming nails, providing food and water, and cleaning cages for animals that are staying in the hospital for extended periods of time. I would prefer to conduct a meet and greet with both you and your animal prior to caring for them in order to establish their trust. I will happily take your dog(s) for 30 minute walks around your neighborhood, and I will pick up after them during walks as well. For in home visits, if I am letting your dog out to potty, I will make sure that it is only within a fenced area that your dog cannot jump, or that your dog is on a leash. I am also a firm advocate for indoor-only cats and I am careful to not let your cats outside when I enter or exit your home. I have experience feeding pets dry food, wet food, prescription diets, and raw food diets, and will be more than happy to keep your pet on their regular meal regiment while you are gone as I understand the importance of an established routine for animals. I am familiar with medicating pets such as giving them eye drops, ear drops, pills, liquid oral medications, and subcutaneous injections. Lastly, I’ll make sure that everyone always has fresh water.

My goal is to bring you peace of mind about your pups or pets! I can care for them in your home as I am currently renting at the moment.
About: “I’ve spent many years caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and energy levels, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. I prioritize making sure every animal receives the care, love, and consistency they need, and I’m committed to being reliable and attentive for every scheduled visit.” “Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I follow your directions closely and prioritize safety, comfort, and routine. I make sure each pet feels loved, secure, and well cared for, while keeping a watchful eye on their health and happiness at all times.”
About: I've taken care of pets almost my entire life, starting with dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits when I was 9. As I got older I also helped care for cats and chickens. Even as a young girl, I pet-sit other families dogs and guinea pigs, and in college temporarily cared for a co-workers kitten for 5 months when they couldn't. I absolutely love having pets, and also chose a career working with animals. Animals have and always will hold a special place in my heart! I am focusing entirely on pet care for the winter through mid February, so I am very flexible and can work around your personal schedule! I have grown up surrounded my pets my entire life, and currently live with my partner who has two dogs and lots of chickens. I understand the trust required to leave your pet with someone else, and will do everything I can to make sure your pets are happy and safe! I'd do anything in the world for my pets, and will do the same for yours.

“My dog was worn out after the visit and really enjoyed having Don with him. I would recommend Don to anyone who needs a dog walker or sitter. Have asked to book again since my large breed dog needs the extra attention. Excellent service and attention to what the dog needs.”
“Phoenix was very happy to take Jenifer for a walk. She said he did very well for her. I would recommend Jenifer because Phoenix liked her and was very happy when he came home. Jenifer was on time and very pleasant to talk with.”

About: —~> Ask about Farm Animal Care <~— Spending time with animals is a gift. It is a joy to meet new furry friends and give them extra love while their caretakers are out adventuring or working. I love to go for walks on the beach or in the woods. I like to chase sunsets and sunrises. All of which are more enjoyable with sweet creatures. I adore giving affection and opportunities to play for both cats and dogs. I have tended to a variety of different types of animals over the years. Some need ample one on one attention. Which I accommodate by giving them solo walks and separate meal times when requested. Others who loved to be social or had other animal roommates that needed plenty of outdoor time. Elder cats and dogs who needed extra special care, medication, fluids, and special diets. Dog and cat drop ins can make a world of difference for an animal navigating extended time away from their people/person. I give them all focused attention, consideration, bonding interactions and love. Dog walks are a vital key to their health and well being. It takes a village to tend to our critters too! Human and animal. I have many special spots for them to enjoy throughout the Olympic Peninsula. Including safe off leash areas when requested. I have a 7 year old dog, Hoodi. She does not come with me for cat or dog drop ins. Dog walks can include her company or not, always at your discretion. She does join me for overnight pet sitting and loves other dogs. She tends towards submissive and loves to chase and play. She is very mellow indoors and enjoys watching the activity of others. Throughout her life she has helped with pet sits. For her first four years of life she lived with two other dogs. She is a great addition to any pack. I have experience farm sitting which includes plant watering of green house, gardens, field and pasture. As well as goat milking, poultry care, and feeding of cows, horses, goats and pigs. Feel free to message me in booking about pricing for full time/part time farm care. Please note my pet sitting is limited to the Olympic Peninsula and Kitsap County. I pet sit most frequently in Port Townsend, Discovery Bay, Sequim, Blyn, Port Ludlow, Brinnon, Port Gamble, Quilcene, Chimacum, Port Hadlock, Irondale, and Marrowstone Island. Occasionally I will work in Port Angeles, Joyce, Forks, Queets, Poulsbo, Kingston, Bremerton, Bainbridge and Silverdale. I prefer extended house sits and like to build solid bonds with animals. I prioritize repeat clients. I have additional references outside of Rover. As many of my clients book me via word of mouth. This profile gives ease of access to my calendar. I currently work seasonally teaching art based school break kids camps and afterschool programing on the Olympic Peninsula. I spend the rest of my time making art from home and adventuring outdoors. This means I can have extended quality time with your pet(s) for walks and/or outdoor play and indoor care. Summer is my busiest season as a teacher. I have less availability during it. I believe maintaining routines and exercise is important for the physical and emotional well being of all animals. I will strive to uphold this and adapt my schedule as best as I can for your pet(s). I enjoy taking the time to communicate with you about your desires, concerns, texting check ins and sending sweet photos for your peace of mind. As every pet is an important family member. I know them to be kin.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Port Angeles
Clover loves Hannah. Clover can be shy at first, but warmed up to Hannah and we so appreciated Hannah’s patience and calm approach. With Clover being a husky, she is a pup with a strong (and yes, often stubborn) personality, but we trust Hannah can handle it and Clover loves her walks :)

I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about Izzy! From the very first walk, it was clear how much she genuinely loves and understands dogs. Finn and Zoey light up with excitement every time she arrives— and that means everything to me. The care, patience, and affection she shows goes far beyond what I ever expected from a dog walker. I completely trust her, and I’m so grateful to have found someone who treats Finn and Zoey like their family!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
