“Ariana took great care of my cat, Emerson — she was very knowledgeable about cats and natural with him during the meet and greet and is a kind and friendly person! I felt very comfortable leaving Emerson in her care and will definitely book her again!”

“Danielle is awesome! She really gives my dog so much love and makes him so happy. She takes really good care of him too. If you need someone who will love your dog as much as you, she’s the sitter you need! She also gives very detailed awesome updates during. I’m so happy I found her to take care of my boy.”

About: I had a family dog for a while and am considering adopting a pet soon. Unfortunately, my schedule and life don't allow me to have a dog of my own at the moment, but I would love to spend time with your pups and pets. I work from home on M/W/F so have flexibility on these days to check in on your pets and go for walks. I'm also available on weekends. I do have a full-time job and use Rover as a way to spend time with furry friends and get outside - because it's fun for me and I don't use this as primary income I can offer affordable rates and hopefully a great time for your pup or other furry friend. That said, my availability fluctuates a bit depending on my schedule, but I do my best to keep my calendar updated! I'm also typically not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Unfortunately, I'm not able to take care of pets in my own home. I'm flexible with taking care of pets in your home. I'm happy to do drop in visits, stay with your pet during the day, or go for 15-20 minute walks throughout the work day, with a longer morning and evening walk. I love being outside and I love furry friends and am happy to keep you updated throughout the day so you know your pet is safe and healthy.
“I was so happy to have Ashley come and walk our dog, Lilo - she came twice a day. She also came over to meet us before we left for our trip, so we could show her around and meet her - it made us feel much better that we had met the person who would be in our house. Things went very smoothly and I would definitely love to have her help again. Highly recommended!”

About: I have had pets my whole life and occasionally pet sit for friends and family I'm always that friend that's always playing with the dogs I walk everywhere so it would be very easy for me to fit any dog walk into my schedule most any day of the week and or a playdate I have one cat I am very good meeting her needs, I would take care of client pet same and to the pets individual needs
“Jennifer accommodated a 5-day, 2x per day housesitting schedule at the last minute. Even though kitties hid under beds that’s on them and not a measure of her. She showed up promptly and is a great communicator. We had a delay getting home and she was ready to support in case it ran over, which luckily didn’t need to happen”
“Corrine was absolutely wonderful. We were In a jam and we helped us out on short notice. She was responsive, kind, very polite, and gentle with our kitties, making sure to be extra gentle with the shy one. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!! Thank you!!♡♡”

About: I’ve had dogs, cats, and other pets my entire life. I have pet sit and dog walked for 5 years. I am a very patient and friendly pet owner. I work remotely so my availability is pretty wide open, I like to workout in mornings around 8-10 ish but other than that my day is good. I have a very large unfenced yard so if that is an issue let me know. When pet sitting in clients homes I am respectful, attentive, and kind making sure my client is getting exactly what they need out of my services!

“Stacy did a really great job. Our dogs can be a handful but they all seemed very happy and content when we got home. We will definitely ask her back if our schedules match up!”

About: Don't let my babyface fool you. I have over 10 years of experience in nearly all pet care industries: boarding/daycare, grooming, and training. I spent about 2 of those years at a dog training school specializing in "ill behaved" dogs. No animal is too much or scary for me- I'll love them all like they're my own pet ♥️ I work a part time job at the local pool. Schedule is currently in flux but I'm generally not working more than 8 hours in a day and I can certainly be home for mornings and evenings. I can request shorter shifts as needed and I have a covered, fenced in outdoor kennel I can keep dogs in as needed. I am quite good at following whatever instructions you leave behind and making your pet feel as comfortable with your absence as is possible. I'm familiar with a variety of training techniques which help me to individualize my interaction with your unique pet.
“Izzy was professional, courteous and great with our three dogs. She was easy to work with and took excellent care of our pups. One of our dogs requires a muzzle when playing with the other, and Izzy had no issues making sure our old guy was muzzled up so the dogs could socialize. I highly recommend her services!”

About: I have been a dog owner for about 12 years and I grew up taking care of stray cats for about 6 years during my childhood and teenager years. I don't have professional pet training but I believe I have enough experience with cats and dogs to understand what it takes to care for them. I used to walk my Black Labrador so I am used to walking a rather hyper large dog. I like to play fetch as well as tug of war ith dogs. I know they have a lot of energy to expend. I like engaging with cats playfulness as well playing catch the string as well as petting them depending on the cat or dog. I will cater to your pet's needs and personality. I work freelance and waiting to start traveling next year. I am available to the max right now but appreciate communication so I can coordinate rightfully so. I have a fenced in backyard for caring at my home. The house is located in town in a residential neighborhood. The neighbors have 2 dogs of their own on their side of the backyard fence that do like to play/communicate from their side of the fence when they are out at times. I can always keep them inside if I see them out if that's an issue. I'm open to other services as long as I have a decent amount of lead time.
About: I’ve been making excuses to meet any and everyone’s pet since before I could walk, and I’m so excited to meet yours! Growing up we had cats, dogs, and even salamanders so no breed, age, or need is too demanding for me! Whenever I can, I spend my down time cuddling with my pets and soaking up the love! I’ve been walking pets and house sitting for years and my schedule is flexible so please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m down to do whatever my clients need for their pets to be comfortable and safe! I have a car and can even take your pets out to parks or beaches if they’d like.

“Bevin was a delight to speak with and very patient with gaining Chika's trust. This was just a meet and greet for all of us. I'm hoping we'll get to use Bevin's services in the future.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Port Angeles
This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit nervous to leave my kittens alone. Taylor came over to meet Ollie, Andy, and I a couple of days before I left and I knew the boys would be in great hands. She kept me updated throughout my trip away. She also made sure to send me pics and even offered to water my plants. She’s the best and I can’t recommend her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Port Angeles. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
