About: *I am only accepting doggies up to 40 lbs right now. I prefer a meet and greet before a first time stay. Meet and greets last about 30 minutes. We will go for a short walk to get acquainted. I find this makes a big difference in your loved one feeling more comfortable for their stay and helps me provide the best care possible.* Located in Agnew between Port Angeles and Sequim I have pet sat for quite a few dogs over the years. I am comfortable with young and old. Your loved one will go on at least one 35 minute walk per day with me. It's helpful if you provide the schedule your fur baby is used to (feed and walk times) and I'll do my best to accommodate them. I am home most hours of the day (max I'm away is 3). I live in a quiet, safe neighborhood with access to the discovery trail as well as a large field for play and walks. I believe in positive reinforcement and redirecting unwanted behaviors.

“I just can't say enough good things about Reagan. I have a fairly newly adopted dog that had some behavioral challenges when I got her. We have worked hard on changing those but I wasn't sure how she would be with someone else or another dog. Buttercup has met my uncle's labradodoodle and they hit it off fine, like Me and Mini Me. But I was worried about her being around other dogs. When I took Buttercup over to Reagen's house she met us outside with her dog Jack (talk about a mellow dog?). Reagen was so sweet and Buttercup loved her and Jack too. I loved that Reagan sent pictures even though it was just for a day stay. This helped me feel more at ease. She was flexible with pick up time which was good since my medical testing went longer than expected. Will definitely use again.”

About: Growing up in Port Angeles near the Olympic National Park, I have always had a strong love for animals. I received my Bachelor’s degree in biology and would like to attend veterinary school in the near future. Through internships, volunteering, work experience, and personal experience, I’ve cared for a variety of species including cats, dogs, amphibians, reptiles, beavers, big cats, and wolf-dogs. I have 1.5 years experience working as a cat caregiver at a no-kill nonprofit animal rescue. During my time as a caregiver, I worked with special needs cats, senior cats, and kittens. I am currently working as a veterinary assistant at a local veterinary clinic. I have worked with dogs and cats with a variety of health conditions and temperaments. I have two cats of my own. I also work as a veterinary assistant full-time where I provide medical care to animals. This includes giving vaccines, drawing blood, trimming nails, providing food and water, and cleaning cages for animals that are staying in the hospital for extended periods of time. I would prefer to conduct a meet and greet with both you and your animal prior to caring for them in order to establish their trust. I will happily take your dog(s) for 30 minute walks around your neighborhood, and I will pick up after them during walks as well. For in home visits, if I am letting your dog out to potty, I will make sure that it is only within a fenced area that your dog cannot jump, or that your dog is on a leash. I am also a firm advocate for indoor-only cats and I am careful to not let your cats outside when I enter or exit your home. I have experience feeding pets dry food, wet food, prescription diets, and raw food diets, and will be more than happy to keep your pet on their regular meal regiment while you are gone as I understand the importance of an established routine for animals. I am familiar with medicating pets such as giving them eye drops, ear drops, pills, liquid oral medications, and subcutaneous injections. Lastly, I’ll make sure that everyone always has fresh water.

About: I've taken care of pets almost my entire life, starting with dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits when I was 9. As I got older I also helped care for cats and chickens. Even as a young girl, I pet-sit other families dogs and guinea pigs, and in college temporarily cared for a co-workers kitten for 5 months when they couldn't. I absolutely love having pets, and also chose a career working with animals. Animals have and always will hold a special place in my heart! We have worked hard on changing those but I wasn't sure how she would be with someone else or another dog. Buttercup has met my uncle's labradodoodle and they hit it off fine, like Me and Mini Me. But I was worried about her being around other dogs. When I took Buttercup over to Reagen's house she met us outside with her dog Jack (talk about a mellow dog?). Reagen was so sweet and Buttercup loved her and Jack too. I loved that Reagan sent pictures even though it was just for a day stay. This helped me feel more at ease. She was flexible with pick up time which was good since my medical testing went longer than expected. Will definitely use again.”
