About: I've grown up with cats my whole life, and all my friends were pet people so I was always surrounded by animals. A little later in life, my family got a dog (a very special breed called a Stabyhoun) whom I walked in the woods and trained and did some basic agility with. I also have experience providing specialized dog sitting for someone while they were at work all day. My true love though is cats, and I currently have two of my own who I treat as if they were my own children. One of them has specialized medical needs because of some urinary stone issues, so I have experience providing medicine and special diets for cats when needed. I've pet sit for my parents and neighbor before. When I was young I poured over animal encyclopedias because I just found them so fascinating, and still continue to love to learn and understand animal behavior. I've been living in Sweden the past 9 years and am new to Ottawa and brought our own kitties all the way over from Sweden. I have needed a cat sitter many times and understand wanting to know updates and that your kitty is okay, which I would be happy to provide. I love meeting new cats and getting to know them, as well as giving them the desired amount of attention they want because let's face it, all cats are particular in their own way about this. At the moment I do not have an another job, so my schedule is very flexible and open. I can come by multiple times day if needed, and am available mid-morning until the evening. I will always be sensitive to an animal's needs in terms of how social or unsocial they wish to be. I understand needing to go slow and calm with some animals, while others are happy to get cuddles from the start. I can play with your cat, or just sit there so they feel they have some company for a bit.

About: I’ve been head over heels for dogs my whole life, caring for them, learning from them, and loving every second of it. I helped raise our big goofy Lab from age 4 to 17, handling walks, training, post surgery care, and senior needs like ear cleaning and meds. Then came a sassy black Lab puppy, housetraining her (even mid-poop!), teaching manners, feeding, walking, and making sure her mind stayed as active as her tail. Later, I was a full time dog mom to a German Shepherd. Completely hands on for house training, vet visits, trick training, socialization, and daily adventures. I’m the one friends and family always call to dogsit because they know I treat every pup like my own. What sets me apart is that my heart is 100% in it. This isn’t just a job. There is nothing I care about more than animal welfare! I work from home, so I have plenty of time for your fur babies. I also love hiking and go for runs daily, your doggy is welcome to join if you think they're up for it! I am across the street from a beautiful park with a fenced in dog area, quiet streets, and lots of nice areas for walks! I have no other animals in my home right now, so they will be the center of my attention 🥰

About: I have loved all animals, big, medium, and small, since I was a child! I used to work at PetSmart and have garnered quite a bit of knowledge about animal nutrition, play, and behaviour. I work a full-time job, so I will be available in the evenings and on the weekends to walk, play, and check in on your animals! I live steps away from a walking path and a dog park, and I have a closed-off deck attached to my apartment that offers plenty of sunlight.
