“Laurie took excellent care of my cat while I was away. She was dependable, kind, and clearly cared about making sure my cat was comfortable and well looked after. She kept me informed throughout my trip, which I really appreciated. It was such a relief to come home to a happy cat. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Julia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.”

About: Over the years, I’ve cared for many dogs and cats including pet sitting, walking, feeding, playing, medicating, and providing lots of love and companionship. I’ve had pets throughout most of my life and have always considered them a cherished part of my family. Currently I own a sweet 4 year old Bernedoodle named Winnie. I’ve also had the pleasure of training several dogs of my own. This allowed me the experience of learning how to manage their specific personalities, energy levels, and needs. I know that every dog is unique and I take the time to understand each one individually so they are comfortable and have the specific care they need. Whether your cat or dog needs some playtime, feeding, an energetic walk, or simply a calm and caring companion, I’m happy to provide dependable and attentive care. My goal is always to make your pets feel content and safe while giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands. I am currently working from home part time on a flexible schedule. My availability is open for dog walking, dog boarding, and cat or dog drop in visits. I live in a second floor one bedroom apartment with a balcony in Centretown. My building has a small yard and I am directly next to a park for easy potty breaks and short outings. There is an enclosed dog park next door for off leash running and playing, and lots of nearby walking paths if your dog(s) needs quieter solo walks. Pets in my home are allowed on my sofa and bed, and I also have a large dog bed available if someone wants alone time. My dog Winnie will sleep in my bed with me for short periods, but she generally prefers the cooler floor to stretch out on.
“STAR SITTER FOR A REASON. MY Dog Loved Being with KATE as she provided an extra care for Honey and helped me in an emergency situation that too on a Short Notice. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND KATE....”

“My girls love Lydia, she’s a great sitter. She communicates really well and is trustworthy and very reliable. She takes great care of my girls, one who is elderly and has dementia, she is patient and understands how to handle them both. I would definitely recommend her and I would hire her again”

“Gabriela took wonderful care of our three cats while we were away. One of our cats needed oral medication, and another required blood glucose checks and insulin injections. She was attentive, reliable, and kept us updated throughout our trip with regular messages and photos, including the blood glucose checks. Our cats clearly loved her, and it gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such capable hands. We would absolutely book with Gabriela again and highly recommend her!”

About: With years of pet-sitting experience, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, including puppies, cats, and bunnies. I’m comfortable with pets of all types and understand the unique care each one needs. Whether it’s keeping up with the energy of playful puppies or ensuring cats feel safe and comfortable, I prioritize their well-being. My patience and attentiveness set me apart, ensuring every pet feels loved and at ease while you're away. I work during the day, but I’m available to care for pets on weekends and after work. I work hybrid, so I am able to care for cats/dogs some days during the week. This schedule allows me to dedicate my free time to giving pets the attention, care, and love they deserve. Whether it’s evening check-ins, playtime, or weekend pet-sitting, I’m committed to providing reliable and compassionate care that fits both my schedule and your pet’s needs. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s. I create a stress-free environment by following each pet’s routine, providing a secure space, and ensuring they feel comfortable and loved. I’m attentive to their needs, from feeding and exercise to medication and companionship. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care so both pets and owners can feel at ease.
About: I’ve always loved caring for a variety of animals. From cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens I’ve always been quite the adaptable guardian. I began a small dog-walking business at 11 and have owned animals for as long as I can remember. I understand most of their needs and am always willing to understanding their quirks and personalities. I make it my mission to handle beloved pets with utter respect and compassion. I currently attend university full-time but have lots of time in-between to care for your pet! I am home most weekdays after 12 and am available (and flexible) on weekends. I have a pet-friendly residence for those looking for boarding and can reassure you that there are ample amounts of parks near me to walk your cute dog! My house is relatively quiet, very clean, and welcoming.

“We scheduled an additional meet and greet with a walk so that our dog could get more familiar with Nicole. Nicole sent a reminder and was on time. She asked questions to get to better understand our nervous dog and was gentle and patient with her.”

About: I am calm, cautious, and use tone of voice and positive body language to build trust. I am attentive and practice good walking habits. I reinforce positive behaviour with puppies and provide extra care for senior dogs too. I work as a human resources consultant and my schedule is flexible depending on the day. I am generally available 7 days a week unless travelling and I am always open to last minute requests (even within the same hour). When I’m in other’s homes, I am quiet, calm, respectful of rules. I like to keep items clean and organized, and I ensure that there are no hazards present.
“Anna was great! She met with us prior to the booking, took the time to listen to our routine, and sent prompt updates. My pup is a skittish rescue and Anna made sure that she was well taken care of. Thank you!”

About: I spent this summer sitting regularly for two families. The first was a family with three dogs and a cat, staying overnight to ensure they are comfortable, fed and have company. The second was spending time with an elderly cat who was older than me! I’m a recent university graduate who is currently working part time at my universities athletic centre. Hoping to fill up some free time looking after and caring for your pets! I do safety checks of the open areas to ensure there is nothing in reach of the animals, when leaving I also follow all the instructions for locking up and ensuring the pets are safe.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I’d love to help keep your four-legged fur baby happy, active, and well cared for! I work as a Personal Trainer so I have lots of split shifts in my schedule. Dogs are often alone for no longer than 5hrs at a time Monday to Friday! Live in a spacious one bedroom in centretown close to many walking paths and dog parks. I can do long walks, dog park play or quick drop ins as well as boarding. I live with my 5 year old English cocker spaniel, Luka. He absolutely loves any dog to play with!
“Isabelle was absolutely amazing. I felt so grateful that she was looking after my cat while I was away. She’s reliable, responsive, and caring. I am definitely going to be rebooking Isabelle to look after my cat next time I’m travelling. Thank you for everything!”

About: Seasoned dog owner and enthusiast with a genuine interest in understanding your pet and what makes it tick. I have experience with all kinds of dogs but am especially good with shy/nervous types and seniors. You can rest assured your pet is in good hands with me. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule. I am available to help days, evenings and weekends work for me with advanced notice. I live in a high-rise building with an elevator so the dog will be safe and secure at my home. I am a very attentive dogsitter and will ensure they are in a safe and calm environment. If I take care of your pet in your home, then you will return to a happy and well-taken care of pup. I like to send regular updates and will let you know if there are any issues that come up. Sometimes pets behave a bit differently when their owners are gone, and I’m very patient and good at respecting their limits if they are shy or nervous.
“Stephanie looked after our energetic German Shepard Chelsea for three days. She took the time to come and meet us beforehand. She did a great job making sure that Chelsea was fed, watered and walked during two daily visits. Stephanie sent pics on each visit and kept us up to date with short reports on every visit. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Katherine was great to agree to meet our dog, Rufus, and spend some time bonding with him in our home on such short notice! Rufus took a shine to her right away and was so calm in her presence! We have an upcoming house sitting booked with Katherine while we’re out of town, and we’re confident Rufus and our home will be in good hands.”

We had already boarded our dog in Francielly’s house, but this was our first time having in-house visits. Francielly was amazing as always! She send pictures everyday, followed the instructions and was amazing communicating about the health of our dog. We couldn’t be happier and I can’t recommend her enough for boarding and in-house visits!

As first time Rover users, we were a bit nervous, but Ciara completely put our minds at ease. She was wonderfully friendly, super prompt with communication and incredibly easy to coordinate with. Most importantly, she took fantastic care of our boy and sent great updates that let us know he was in good hands. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be rebooking with her in the future!

We booked last minute and it wasn’t an issue. This was our first time with a professional sitter and knowing our large breed dog needed to take medication made us very nervous - but it wasn’t an issue. Kate came on time and was great. No worries and photos showed us a happy boy. Would book Kata again.

Mary was so helpful to our puppy and provided Him frequent care this summer and he always enjoyed her visits ! Mary is so easy to communicate with, carries out instructions to the letter !, and just a sweet person. We love booking with her and will continue to work with her in the future!

Kaitlyn is such a sweet person!❤️ I felt so comfortable having her watch over my little chihuahua puppy, he also had such a great time! I really appreciated having her here today, and it really relieved any stress I had. Will definitely be booking again! Highly recommend Kaitlyn! 🥰

Kenny was fantastic! He took such great care of Peanut during the drop-in visit and walk. He was punctual, very communicative throughout, and sent lots of photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear Peanut was well cared for and happy. We really appreciated Kenny's professionalism and reliability, and we wouldn't hesitate to book him again. Highly recommend!

Myfanwy was absolutely wonderful with our dogs, Rocko and Lady! We were relocating from Georgia to Canada, so this was a big transition for our family, and she gave us complete peace of mind while we traveled. She was communicative, reliable, and clearly cared about our dogs as if they were her own. We loved receiving updates and could tell they were comfortable and well cared for. She even went above and beyond with thoughtful touches that made us feel so welcomed. I would not hesitate to book with Myfanwy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and dependable pet sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our pups!🦴🐾🤗

Finding someone you truly trust with your dog is incredibly hard, especially when you’re doing it all on your own, and Shayla has honestly been a rare gem for us. She walks Dolton regularly and boards him when needed, and the level of care, communication, and professionalism she provides is exceptional. What really stands out with Shayla is the peace of mind she gives. She sends thoughtful updates, great pictures, and communicates consistently, which makes such a difference when you’re away from your pet. You never feel left wondering how things are going or whether your dog is okay. She clearly pays attention to the dogs in her care and genuinely gets to know their personalities and needs. Dolton is always excited to see her, comfortable around her, and comes back happy, calm, and well cared for. As someone who relies heavily on trustworthy support for my dog, that means everything to me. Shayla is reliable, patient, organized, and genuinely caring. It never feels transactional. It feels like she truly cares about the animals she works with. Honestly, people like Shayla are hard to find. When you find someone dependable who treats your dog with kindness, keeps you informed, and makes leaving your pet less stressful, you realize how valuable that is. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker or boarding service.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
