About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life. I grew up with cats, dogs and horses. I currently have my cat, Bear, who was raised alongside my Great Pyrenees, Bandit. I adopted Bandit when he was five and cared for him through his senior years, including managing daily medication and the extra attention that comes with an older, large-breed dog. That experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and attentive care, whether I’m looking after cats, energetic dogs, or senior pets who need a gentler approach. I work from home, so I’m around during the day for feedings, walks, playtime, and company. I’m also an active person, which makes it easy for me to keep up with pets who have more energy, while still sticking to their usual routines. With the flexibility of my job, I’m able to adapt my schedule to meet each pet’s individual needs. In my home, pets are cared for in a comfortable, relaxed environment with access to my backyard and nearby walking trails for regular walks and fresh air. I do have a cat, so any pets staying with me need to be cat-friendly. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routines closely — from feedings and walks to playtime and litter care — so they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away. For drop-ins, afternoons and evenings work best with my schedule, but I’m always happy to chat and find what works best for you.

We are very pleased with Rosa's drop-in services. Rosa took time to meet with us and get to know our puppy ahead of the drop-ins. She has been reliable and trustworthy. She provides us with updates and we feel she cares for the well being of our pet. We would recommend Rosa for pet sitting services and will hire her again.

About: From a young age, my passion for animals ignited and has only grown stronger over the years. I've had the privilege of fostering numerous dogs through Freedom Dog Rescue, where I also became the Lead Adoption Coordinator in 2021. Volunteering with the Ottawa Humane Society allowed me to spend quality time walking dogs and honing my skills. For years now, we've welcomed dogs into our home and managed a doggie daycare & home boarding service. My commitment goes beyond professionalism; it's deeply personal. I've rescued animals of various kinds, from cats and dogs to ferrets. I've provided geriatric care for pets with diverse ailments, including diabetes, anxiety, and osteoarthritis. We would be honored to care for your cherished family member. When they're with us, they become a part of our extended family. They'll receive the same love, respect, and care as if they were our own. Your pet's well-being and happiness are our top priorities. We are fully dedicated to providing the best care for your furry companions. My commitment to your pets extends beyond a job – it's my passion. While our dog daycare spots can occasionally open up, our boarding services are tailored to your specific needs. I'm here whenever you require assistance and are ready to welcome your pets into our loving environment. We recognize the anxieties that can arise when parting with your cherished pet. Therefore, our goal is to provide a warm and inviting 'home away from home' experience. Whether your dog is accustomed to sleeping in a crate or snuggling on a bed, we replicate their familiar setup to ensure their utmost comfort. During both day and overnight stays, your dog will enjoy two revitalizing walks along wooded trails nearby, each lasting a minimum of 20 minutes. These nature walks are an integral part of our services, promoting your pet's well-being. Our yard is also spacious and fully fenced allowing for lots of "zoomies" and safe outdoor play. Before you commit to any of our services, I extend an invitation for a complimentary trial. This gives you the opportunity to ascertain if my environment is the perfect match for your furry companion. My household includes my husband as well as two children who have grown up around animals, cultivating a serene and respectful demeanor in their interactions with your pets. Additionally, our own rescued cats and dogs enrich the welcoming atmosphere we provide.

Rebeca is amazing! My cat is very shy and she was able to develop trust and get her to spend time with her. I could relax knowing that she was my cat sitter. She timed the visits very well due to some wild weather. I will be hiring her every time I go in holiday. Thanks so much for taking good care of Punko.

Kate was an amazing cat sitter for my boy! She was prompt, attentive, and kept me updated throughout her time with him. She sent frequent updates, followed all instructions perfectly, and even went above and beyond. One of my biggest challenges with hiring a cat sitter has been finding someone comfortable with administering oral medication, but Kate handled it flawlessly! I highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again in the future.

About: I've adopted dogs and cats and trained dogs for the last 10 years. I love animals! Currently I don't have any animals, but would love to take care of yours. I currently work from home so my days are flexible. My daughter is 3 years old and lives with me half the time. So I can be flexible with animals that aren't child friendly. I have a fenced yard that backs on to grass area right behind, which is ideal for pee breaks. I live close to a trail which I love to go for walks.

About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and other kinds of pets. I currently have 3 cats and 1 guinea pig(closed caged).our dog sadly passed away at almost 12 a few years ago. I've helped many friends and family with pet care services for their dogs and cats while they are on vacation. I will be returning to college in the spring to become a veterinary Assistant. I know how to recognize changes in behavior or not feeling well. I love all animals like they are my own. I am currently unemployed and am looking to start my path in pet services part-time as I am becoming a veterinary assistant and must complete some online courses before hand. When caring for friends and family pets, I usually go to their house and do the feeding, letting dogs out or going for a walk, clean cat litters and ensure they have water. In my home my guinea pig is in a closed cage in a room that if I would need to lock up my cats for the day it would be okay. My cats are free in my house and we have multiple litter boxes and water bowls and fountain. We currently do not have a fenced yard but the fence will be going up this summer.

About: Anyone who knows me knows I’m the biggest dog person! Whether I’m walking into someone’s house, seeing a dog out in public, or spending time with my own furry friend, dogs always make my day. I have an 8-year-old dog who’s my world, and I can’t imagine being outside without a dog by my side. I regularly walk a senior dog in my community, providing gentle, caring, and fun walks that keep them happy and active. I offer 30-minute or 1-hour walks depending on your dog’s needs and energy level. Every pup I meet gets my full attention, belly rubs, and lots of tail wags! I’m also training to run a 5K by the end of summer, so if your dog loves to run… even better! I am currently a university student with a very flexible schedule to take care of your furry baby! Please message me for any questions or inquiry about my availability! I treat every home and pet with the utmost care and respect. In clients’ homes, I follow their instructions closely, keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy. I make sure doors are securely closed, leashes are properly used, and pets are never left unattended in unsafe areas. In my own home, my 8-year-old dog keeps me company, and I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment. I always supervise pets, provide fresh water, and ensure they feel loved and comfortable. Clients can trust that their furry family members are in safe hands, with lots of attention, gentle care, and plenty of affection.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our golden retriever! She was amazing from start to finish - flexible, accommodating, and so easy to communicate with. Our pup absolutely loved her, and it gave us such peace of mind while we were away knowing he was in great hands. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!

About: Hi! I have had multiple pets throughout my life. I currently do not have any pets so I can give all my cuddles to your pet!! I’ve volunteer with the humane society and have been trained in delivering medication and applying bandages/dressings on cats/dogs/bunnies of all ages.I have also been trained with how to take care of puppies and kittens- which are super cute! I’m currently working from home so I will be there the whole day if you’re boarding or doing daycare! If it’s a home stay or house visits I’m flexible with what time if anybody has a strict schedule to stay on! I currently live in an apartment on the ground floor so bathroom breaks would be super easy for senior doggies!! For boarding & daycare they are allowed on furniture but need to eat in a designated spot on the floor- couch eating is not allowed! I do also have a craft room with lots of unfinished crafts lying around so no one will be allowed in that room. Everyone else is pretty much open to play or lounge around!

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
