Hayley did a great job with my shy snuggle-bug. I got regular notices, and in particular of him enjoying snuggle time which was the most important reasons for the visits. I was a little worried he would hide while she was here, but she knew the ways of the feline and he seemed quite comfortable with her. Everything looked great when I got home and my cat looked well-cared for. Thank you Hayley!

Meghan is absolutely amazing. She is like Mary Poppins. Bailey absolutely loved her. She worked with him on basic commands, which was a complete bonus for me. She taught him how to work with puzzles. More than I could even have asked for… This visit was amazing and I will be having Meghan back as soon as I can!

About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and other kinds of pets. I currently have 3 cats and 1 guinea pig(closed caged).our dog sadly passed away at almost 12 a few years ago. I've helped many friends and family with pet care services for their dogs and cats while they are on vacation. I will be returning to college in the spring to become a veterinary Assistant. I know how to recognize changes in behavior or not feeling well. I love all animals like they are my own. I am currently unemployed and am looking to start my path in pet services part-time as I am becoming a veterinary assistant and must complete some online courses before hand. When caring for friends and family pets, I usually go to their house and do the feeding, letting dogs out or going for a walk, clean cat litters and ensure they have water. In my home my guinea pig is in a closed cage in a room that if I would need to lock up my cats for the day it would be okay. My cats are free in my house and we have multiple litter boxes and water bowls and fountain. We currently do not have a fenced yard but the fence will be going up this summer.

Rebeca has been great with spending time with my cat Buffy! Despite my cat being a bit timid and reclusive, Rebeca was very patient and made a lot of efforts to engage with her and win her trust, and was enthusiastic with sharing her experience with me.

About: Hi! I have had multiple pets throughout my life. I currently do not have any pets so I can give all my cuddles to your pet!! I’ve volunteer with the humane society and have been trained in delivering medication and applying bandages/dressings on cats/dogs/bunnies of all ages.I have also been trained with how to take care of puppies and kittens- which are super cute! I’m currently working from home so I will be there the whole day if you’re boarding or doing daycare! If it’s a home stay or house visits I’m flexible with what time if anybody has a strict schedule to stay on! I currently live in an apartment on the ground floor so bathroom breaks would be super easy for senior doggies!! For boarding & daycare they are allowed on furniture but need to eat in a designated spot on the floor- couch eating is not allowed! I do also have a craft room with lots of unfinished crafts lying around so no one will be allowed in that room. Everyone else is pretty much open to play or lounge around!

About: I have dedicated 40 years of experience in Heath Care working as a PSW. I excel in research. I am experienced in calming conditions such as anxiety & depression. I feel that a healing experience happens in those moments of bonding with an animal. I am currently researching Pet CPR. I have a life long affiliation with all Animals, including Chipmunks, Squirrels, Birds, Insects... I Assist In My Family Member's Health Care. My schedule is open for set visits. I find there is a certain calm with Animals. Then I get back into the human race. Smiling. Whether your pet is in your home or mine, I follow your Rules, Care Plan and Schedule. Always and without question, only clarifications as needed. I was pet sitting during the Ottawa ~ Gatineau tornado in 2018 while Family was travelling Asia for three weeks. I was outside with their pet crew, (Zoe & Patch), something suddenly changed in the weather, the wind movements... My instincts took over in seconds. I I have an indescribable affiliation with quiet communication and recognition of emotions in both Animals and Human Beings.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teen. Family and friends have relied on me to watch their fur babies, from walking them to feeding them, playing with them and giving them medication etc. I have also trained puppies and have a bit of experience with rescue dogs. Currently a stay at home wife/mom and have the time to take your fur babies for walks as well as play with them. We do have three children who can also give your pet some extra love and attention if they like but can also give them space. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby of my own named Milo. He is a 2-year old golden doodle who loves making new friends. I can also crate your fur baby if that is what they are accustomed to at home. There are many dogs in our neighborhood so making friends on our walks is a normal occurrence.

About: I have always had a dog in my life, and there is no dog I don't fall in love with immediately. I was a dog walker and sitter in university, and experienced many different sizes and personalities in the pups. Anything from a little, high energy Jack Russell to a loving and lazy Great Dane. I will treat your dog like it was my own. I have used many different types of collars and harnesses so am able to walk your dog with whatever you use. Dogs are a gift on this earth and I wouldn't be where I am today without having one in my life. Your dog will bring my so much joy, and I hope to make their (and your) experience one you'll never forget.

We were in need of a trustworthy, cat-friendly sitter for our timid girl Nala, and Alyssa exceeded our expectations. From the initial in home visit to the last drop in, she was courteous, professional and most importantly, absolutely fantastic with Nala. We simply could not have asked for a better person to take care of our little girl. She provided detailed report cards, videos and photos, and even troubleshooted issues with our litter robot in our absence. 10/10 from us and we would highly recommend Alyssa.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
