“Lynda is absolutely terrific caring for Phoebe, 1yr JRT Phoebe always comes home exhausted She invests lots of her time playing with the dogs she has in her care. Large safe fenced yard, plenty of room for the pups to play. Lynda provides pictures and video of the pups in her care. Very flexible with drop off and pick up times”

“Miaozi (Stephanie) is amazing! She took really good care of my baby Pomeranian: Lola María. I was a bit nervous at the beginning because it was my first time using the app and getting a dog sitter for my baby. However, Stephanie made sure that I felt really comfortable and safe during my trip, she sent me some pictures and videos to feel better, she followed Lola’s instructions and notes on the app, and ensured that my little girl was in great hands during her stay. I will definitely bring Lola back with Stephanie! Couldn’t be happier! Thank you!”

“I consider myself very fortunate to have found Tanya to look after my two senior miniature dachshunds following the departure of my last sitter, also from Rover. Tanya was highly recommended to me by my daughter who also uses Tanya for her own dachsie. My two boys loved staying with Tanya and her daughter who looked after them as if they were their own. Tanya is a great communicator and I would not hesitate to recommend her as a loving pet carer.”

“Our dog Truffles had a great week with Qianzhi! She was very comfortable and happy staying with her. Qianzhi sent lots of photos and updates so we felt at ease knowing that Truffles was having a good week while we were gone. I highly recommend Qianzhi!”

“I'm always so anxious about leaving our Emma with new people but she instantly took to Jason and his son at our meet and greet. This allowed my husband and I to leave on our week-long vacation reassured that she was in good hands. Jason provided a daily update with pictures. When we experienced travel delays, he accommodated us and watched Emma a bit longer. I would definitely recommend Jason and we'll be using him again in the future! Thanks again Jason!”

“Frankie and Gus had a great stay with Kirstin & Justin. They provided updates throughout their stay, were flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would definitely book with them again. They came home happy pups!”

“After having read such excellent reviews of Madeline and Ryan, we felt completely assured to leave our 2 year old dog with them. And they turned out to be exactly as the reviews said (excellent). Given our dog is quite timid in nature, we appreciate the patience and understanding that both Madeline and Ryan showed. We also appreciate the honest feedback that helped us learn about it our little one’s personality outside our home. We would definitely return to them in future.”

“This was our second time using Lindsay and her family to watch our girl, Willow. Unfortunately, our plans changed unexpectedly and at the last minute. We needed Lindsay’s services sooner than we originally booked for. She was happy to accommodate us. Lindsay and her family truly saved the day! 🙏 1000/10 would recommend Lindsay and her family!”

“Such a wonderful experience! Sarah, Daniel, and their two children brought my two small dogs into their home for a weekend away and treated them as if they were their own. The photo updates were fun to get when I checked my phone and the communication was easy and quick. I’ll definitely be booking another stay for my dogs the next time then need care. We’re so glad to have met this crew.”

“April was absolutely incredible with our two dogs. She was very communicative, answered all our questions and made us feel extremely comfortable. We travel a lot and needed to find someone who could take care of our boys when family isn't available. We are happy to say we have found a second home for them with April.”

“Johanna is a kind and incredibly reliable dog watcher who truly treats pets like family. Cosmo needs a bit of time to trust new people, and she gave him the space, calm energy & gentle reassurance he needed. We felt completely at ease knowing she respected his personality, made him feel safe and comfortable. He was relaxed, well‑fed and happy when we picked him up. We are very grateful and will happily book with her again.”

“Ruby and Gord could not have treated our little Storm any better! We were so grateful for the wonderful care they gave Storm while we were away! We really appreciated the daily updates and pictures. We could certainly tell that he was one happy little pup. It makes it much easier to relax when you know your furry little family member is having his own little "vacation" with Ruby and Gord! Thanks!!!”

“Manali and her family poured so much love onto Zeus on our most recent visit to Ottawa. He really felt comfortable there. Elsa, their dog, was so gentle and accomadating to Zeus. They were also very accomodating to allow me to pick him up for a walk when i missed him! I would gladly recommend Manali for anyone looking for a homely environment for their dog.”

“Sylvie was attentive to Daisy’s needs and personality. She took great care of her and sent me regular photos and updates. I’ll definitely call on her again in the future.”

“Hui was AMAZING with Max. He had never been left before. She provided regular updates with pics, videos and messages. She asked advice on what he liked to eat and play with. She was very engaged. Her house is a dogs dream with easy access to toys and water. I HIGHLY recommend her services. So thankful to have found a warm home environment away from home. She treated Max like one of the family.”

“One of the best experiences we had in terms of boarding. Our dog stayed with Akanksha for 1 night and it was great. She kept sending us updates and Pablo looked very happy. Definitely recommended”

About: My family has always had a cat in the house since I was born. I have experience with medicinal injections (ie. mainly insulin injections for diabetes) as well as oral supplimentation/medications. I have experience from a shelter environment as well, so any trouble makers or anxious kitties won't scare me away!
“Bonnie has been a fabulous sitter for our cat. She is caring, observant and detailed, and we know our cat is happy to see her every time she comes by. Bonnie's check-in updates (with pictures) are very much appreciated, and help provide peace of mind when we are away, whether it's just for a weekend, or a longer trip overseas. We would highly recommend Bonnie as a pet sitter!”

“Kaela always goes above and beyond to ensure our kitty gets her pills. She even took out our recycling for us while we were gone, which was a pleasant surprise. She always ends her stay with a lovely polaroid of our kitty too. These small things make her the best pet sitter!”

“We’ve had Brianna look after our two cats Gaston and Ti-mine several times now and they love her. She is absolutely reliable and trustworthy. Thanks for everything Brianna.”

“Shannon was so great! We felt so comfortable knowing she was taking care of our sweet boy. She gave us regular updates, shared lots of sweet photos and even let us know that our fire alarm was chirping. With her career experience we felt so comfortable that if anything were to go wrong she would know exactly how to handle the situation. She arrived for the drop ins right on schedule and from the pictures and updates on activity our typically shy boy was very comfortable and happy with her. :) Thanks Shannon!!!”

“Erica was great! She seems to have the right amount of patience for my two scaredy-cats such that it didn't take them too long to come around and spend time with her. I really appreciated getting regular updates (including pictures). My cats (and my house) seemed well-cared for when I got home. I would definitely hire Erica for cat and house sitting again.”

About: Hi! My name is Karinne, but most people call me Kiwi (no, I am not from New Zealand!). I was born and raised in Ottawa, and now live in a house in Nepean with my partner and our 4-year old Miniature American Shepherd, Kali. We love being outside and being active, so your pet will get plenty of fresh air and exercise while being well-loved and well cared for. I started providing services on Rover in 2019 when we lived in an apartment building, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my public health nursing job kept me busy and working long hours, so I had to take a break from Rover. Then we bought a house and got a puppy, and now that we are settled into our home and routines, I am excited to be back on Rover to support others and their pets! I grew up with a love of animals and pets (I literally still have two bins full of stuffed animals that I collected as a child and pretended I owned all the pets in the world). Even though I wasn't allowed to have my own dog as a child, I have always been surrounded by friends' and family's dogs my entire life, and I've often taken care of their pets during their vacations as if they were my own. My partner and I bought our first house and our first dog in the same year, and we've loved every minute of it! I am a Public Health Nurse and work most days from home, so my availability works around those days in-office (i.e. I won't book any walks, visits, or day care on days I am in the office). For any dog boarding, my partner works fully remote at home, so there is always someone in the house with the dogs even if I have to go into the office. We go on 3 walks a day with our dog Kali, ranging from 20 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day and weather. If it is storming, we often do enrichment or training indoors instead. On weekends we try to do longer adventures like a hike in Gatineau Park or swimming in the river! During our daily walks, our dog Kali walks very well on a leash and doesn't pull (until we get close to the neighbourhood park!). She is excellent at walking with other dogs, and generally just ignores them while walking. If your dog prefers to walk alone, that is not a problem! I can accommodate and leave our dog with my partner. Our house is a split-level home with a fully fenced backyard. Dogs will always be supervised while playing in the yard. During the day, Kali has free-range of the entire house and is allowed on furniture, but we are flexible and can accommodate different rules to meet your dog's needs. We also have different areas of the house that can be closed off if the dogs need a break from each other. Kali is crate-trained; she sleeps in her crate at night and eats all her meals in her crate. If we are caring for your dog in our house, we would do our best to ensure there is always someone home and stick to your dog's routines as much as possible.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teen. Family and friends have relied on me to watch their fur babies, from walking them to feeding them, playing with them and giving them medication etc. I have also trained puppies and have a bit of experience with rescue dogs. Currently a stay at home wife/mom and have the time to take your fur babies for walks as well as play with them. We do have three children who can also give your pet some extra love and attention if they like but can also give them space. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby of my own named Milo. He is a 2-year old golden doodle who loves making new friends. I can also crate your fur baby if that is what they are accustomed to at home. There are many dogs in our neighborhood so making friends on our walks is a normal occurrence.

“We are very pleased with Rosa's drop-in services. Rosa took time to meet with us and get to know our puppy ahead of the drop-ins. She has been reliable and trustworthy. She provides us with updates and we feel she cares for the well being of our pet. We would recommend Rosa for pet sitting services and will hire her again.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Sarah and her family! This was my first time ever using the Rover app, and I’ll admit I was a little nervous—but they made the entire process so easy and stress-free. They took incredible care of my puppy, Addison, and truly treated him like a member of their own family. I loved receiving photo updates throughout the day; it was so reassuring to see him happy and settled while I was away. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Sarah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, attentive sitter. Thank you for making Addison’s stay so wonderful!”

“Alissa took great care of my puppy River, on extremely short notice! I was so grateful! She followed my instructions, took him on many walks, and he was very well taken care of. He came back tired and happy. She sent me pictures during the day and communicated throughout. Thank you!”

“It was a pleasure meeting Alison and her father. When we picked him up he was happy and excited. “Milo” looks forward to seeing Alison again, without hesitation. I would recommend Alison to anyone.”

“Karen was amazing with my 2 little nervous rescue pups. They are usually anxious in new places but they fit right in at Karen's and didn't show any signs of anxiety. They didn't even really react when I left. They had a fun day playing with Karen's dogs both in the house and in the lovely back yard. They come home relaxed and tired - a sure sign of a good day! Thanks so much Karen for your sensitivity and calm approach with Molly and Ruby... they'll be back for sure!”

“My dog had his first visit with Rosa in the form of a daycare visit. This allowed he and Rosa (and Duke) to meet and make sure they were all compatible. This day with Rosa was another way to have him work on his separation anxiety. I feel it was a very successful visit and look forward to more daycare visits and ultimately, a boarding overnight.”

“Michelle is reliable and easy going. She gave me updates throughout the day with texts and pictures and a full report when I picked up. She seem to jave the patients to spend the day with an energetic 1 year old pup.”

“I have just started using Akanksha through Rover. I couldn’t be happier and nor could my dachshund Max. He is Akanksha 3 days a week while I’m at work. He is very happy to be dropped off which tells me he, very happy and relaxed spending time with her. Additionally I have found Akanksha to respond to my messages very promptly. And she kindly sends updates and pics through the day.”

“Rodrigo and his mother took great care of Zoey! It was our first time leaving her away from us, so we were a bit nervous, especially because she’s still a young puppy and needs a lot of attention. They were very understanding, patient, and caring with her, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Rodrigo also sent us many updates throughout the day, which really helped us feel reassured and connected while she was with them. We could tell she was well looked after and in good hands. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and kind to care for their dog!”

“There should be more stars allowed for us to pick to show how fortunate our Maggie, and us, were to find Shadi, Kristen and Adam. Maggie received so much love and attention the entire week and we can clearly see that Maggie truly misses her temporary family. Any and all families who are looking for a family who treats their fur baby as if he/she were their own….this is the family to choose. We received excellent updates regularly, with pictures, showing just happy our Maggie was. Nothing but amazing things we have to say about them and if Maggie could talk, she would say the same thing. Thank you again Shadi, Kristen and Adam….we are so lucky to have found you guys. Take care. Derek/Ashley and Maggie.”

“I left Bear with Sasha and Patrick for a week and they were amazing with him! They sent pictures and updates of Bear, which eased my mind while I went on my trip. Bear had a great time with them, and was well taken care of. As I have a dog who tends to eat things he shouldn’t, Sasha and Patrick were attentive to this as well as Bear’s special diet instructions. I would definitely have them watch Bear again in a heartbeat !”

“Micheal and his wife took amazing care of my 11 year old dog. He had to be brought to the hospital during his stay because of seizures from a pre-existing condition and Micheal and his family managed the situation gracefully and made me feel reassured while I was away from my dog. They are lovely people, I highly recommend them. Best dogsitters ever. Thank you again to them for the great care they provided Douglas. I am very grateful.”

“Rosie was fantastic with Codey! She sent updates and pictures several times a day, and Codey loved going in to work with Rosie at the seniors center. Will be coming back to Rosie the next time I need a dog sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Leo and I had a great experience with Duane and Anna; he came home happy and exhausted! They have a big fenced backyard with lots of dog-friendly toys and structures. I also used Anna's grooming service and it was great! Highly recommend!”

“Roxy had a great time with Ben and family. She enjoyed lots of walks, trips to the park and we enjoyed receiving photos of her adventures. The family were very accommodating when our flight times were changed not once but twice. We were very happy with our experience and will be using them again if they are willing.”

“Dogs were at ease the moment they went through the door. Shannon sent updates and pictures which kept us at ease leaving the pups in her and Rob’s care. One of the pups needs extra care and they both ensured that her needs were well taken care of. They were so well cared for that they were both exhausted when then came home.”

“Our dog Cleo is a hyper yet shy dog that get's easily startled and needs space and patience. Susana and her family did an amazing job keeping Cleo at their home for a few nights and were able to accomodate my dog's needs. Susana was very pleasant to talk to and she provided frequent updates about Cleo and kept me in the loop of things. Overall, I had an amazing experience with my booking and would recommend Susana!”

“Kathrine and her family were amazing!!! It was a home away from home for our dog. Kathrine was great at sending photos and caring for an unexpected ear infection! I would recommend and will definitely be sending our pup back.”

“We are very pleased with the care Kristina and her family provided to our senior golden retriever for a week. She shared regular updates through the app, giving us peace of mind while we were away. Our dog has some age-related needs, and Kristina handled everything with patience and genuine care. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“Kelly and her son were great with my dog. They sent me pictures and updates to let me know how he was doing. This was my first time using Rover and Kelly was the perfect fit for me. I felt confident with her right away. Thank you!”
