They took great care of our Loulou, and we know she got all the love, attention, and exercice she needed. We received updates and photos. We feel very lucky we found Michael and will contact him again with no hesitation.”

“We are so grateful for Lindsay and her family for taking great care of our Maisie girl! It was our first time using Rover and our first time leaving our dog for a few nights while we were out of town. We felt so at ease the whole time and received updates and photos throughout the sitting. Maisie looked so happy in the photos we received and I’m sure she felt at ease as well!”

“Sarah and Chris were wonderful with taking care of our dog. It was our first time boarding so we were very nervous but all went well. We appreciated notes and pictures that they sent to us every day during our 1 week vacation! We have a Great Dane who loves to spend days on the coach and Sarah’s family was very accommodating.”

“We left our 3.5months old puppy for a day and Kiran took such an amazing care of him. She is so flexible with the puppy needs. Pictures were sent every second day. They have ample space both inside and out to provide love and care. My Teddy was very happy during his stay. We hope to have Teddy board with Jason and fam again! Thank you Jason and Fam!!!”

“Pepper, our 2 year old dog is usually easily frightened. He was comfortable with Ava and slept well at night. Ava sent us photos every day with a short description. We were anxious as this was the first time we've left Pepper with someone else for any length of time. We were away for 12 days and it couldn't have gone better. All around a great experience.”

“Victoria was truly amazing:) I had a last minute vacation booked with my mum and was in a complete panic searching for someone who could administer medication for one of my fur babies, and more importantly, someone I could trust with my kids while I was away...I couldn't be happier. She accepted the job on short notice and when my flight was cancelled and I was terrified that my cats wouldn't have anyone go to visit, she quickly agreed to the additional days. I came back, the house was immaculate and my cats were desperate for my love: a great sign! When they don't get enough attention I'm typically punished for a few days. I received pictures and updates every day and I can't thank her enough, nor can I do anything but recommend her with complete confidence! An amazing first experience with this app:)”

“Shannon was so great! We felt so comfortable knowing she was taking care of our sweet boy. She gave us regular updates, shared lots of sweet photos and even let us know that our fire alarm was chirping. With her career experience we felt so comfortable that if anything were to go wrong she would know exactly how to handle the situation. She arrived for the drop ins right on schedule and from the pictures and updates on activity our typically shy boy was very comfortable and happy with her. :) Thanks Shannon!!!”

“Brianna spent a very busy holiday weekend taking care of all the furbabies and dedicated an hour of her time each day to keeping my kitty company — he loves his wet food and playtime and Brianna made him happy!”

“This is our second time booking with Kimberly for the holidays. She was wonderful and great at keeping us up to date on our two fur babies. Leaving our cats is stressful for us but Kimberly makes us feel better about leaving them home alone with her superior caregiving skills and attention to detail.”

“Sabrina was reliable and made friends with my elder cat. It was the first time I had left him for such a long time. She sent me daily reports, pictures and commentary on how he was doing. She seems to understand cat language. I would use her again.”

“Xjandria provided punctual and consistent visits with Leo, our Bengal. She sent cute pictures, played, and spent quality time with him. Leo was very content upon our return home. We will definitely trust our sweet Leo, and our home, with her again 💕”

“Kaela is very reliable, and was available to take a last minute booking for us when a family emergency took us out of town. We will continue to have her look after our Reggie. 1000% recommend.”

About: Hi! My name is Karinne, but most people call me Kiwi (no, I am not from New Zealand!). I was born and raised in Ottawa, and now live in a house in Nepean with my partner and our 4-year old Miniature American Shepherd, Kali. We love being outside and being active, so your pet will get plenty of fresh air and exercise while being well-loved and well cared for. I started providing services on Rover in 2019 when we lived in an apartment building, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my public health nursing job kept me busy and working long hours, so I had to take a break from Rover. Then we bought a house and got a puppy, and now that we are settled into our home and routines, I am excited to be back on Rover to support others and their pets! I grew up with a love of animals and pets (I literally still have two bins full of stuffed animals that I collected as a child and pretended I owned all the pets in the world). Even though I wasn't allowed to have my own dog as a child, I have always been surrounded by friends' and family's dogs my entire life, and I've often taken care of their pets during their vacations as if they were my own. My partner and I bought our first house and our first dog in the same year, and we've loved every minute of it! I am a Public Health Nurse and work most days from home, so my availability works around those days in-office (i.e. I won't book any walks, visits, or day care on days I am in the office). For any dog boarding, my partner works fully remote at home, so there is always someone in the house with the dogs even if I have to go into the office. We go on 3 walks a day with our dog Kali, ranging from 20 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day and weather. If it is storming, we often do enrichment or training indoors instead. On weekends we try to do longer adventures like a hike in Gatineau Park or swimming in the river! During our daily walks, our dog Kali walks very well on a leash and doesn't pull (until we get close to the neighbourhood park!). She is excellent at walking with other dogs, and generally just ignores them while walking. If your dog prefers to walk alone, that is not a problem! I can accommodate and leave our dog with my partner. Our house is a split-level home with a fully fenced backyard. Dogs will always be supervised while playing in the yard. During the day, Kali has free-range of the entire house and is allowed on furniture, but we are flexible and can accommodate different rules to meet your dog's needs. We also have different areas of the house that can be closed off if the dogs need a break from each other. Kali is crate-trained; she sleeps in her crate at night and eats all her meals in her crate. If we are caring for your dog in our house, we would do our best to ensure there is always someone home and stick to your dog's routines as much as possible.
“Hayley took excellent care of our cat and our house for 11 nights. Our cat warmed up to Hayley right away and we received lovely pictures of the two snuggling every day. We will definitely be using her again when we travel and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a cat sitter!”

“Tanya-Ann did a wonderful job of caring for Alfie. I can tell that she spent extra time playing with him. She truly loves taking care of animals and it shows. Thanks again for the pictures and video of play-time and thanks again for doing such a great job!”

“Rebeca did a wonderful job taking care of my cat Pepper for the first time this weekend. She is an absolute professional, cares a lot about animals, followed the instructions i left her thoroughly and asked lots of questions to make sure he was getting the right care and maintaining his routine. She is also very kind, generous, and communicative. I will happily work with her again!”

“Lansu has a very meticulous and structured approach to caring for pets. She took videos during each visit, demonstrating each requested item of care and showing my cat's affection and comfort with her. I would definitely recommend choosing Lansu to care for your pet while away. Her check-ins are detailed and thorough and will put your mind at ease knowing your pet is enjoying their company and being well cared for.”

“Kate took excellent care of our cat, Ginny. It was our first time using a pet sitter and we would certainly consider using Kate again next time we go away. We received daily updates and pictures and our cat warmed up to Kate during the week.”

“Joanna was absolutely wonderful with Archie! She was incredibly kind and caring, and Archie was so happy to see her. He settled in right away, which made us feel comfortable leaving him in her care. Joanna updated us and sent pictures, which we really appreciated. Archie was happy, relaxed, and very well cared for. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be using Joanna’s services again.”

“Great experience for Ginger…she is a 4 month old puppy so demands alot of attention…I got lots of videos with her playing and on walks. She slept very well that night! Will be using Yu and Michelle again!”

“Judith is such a warm and friendly person, who clearly has a natural ease with and passion for dogs. She took good care of Lenny during our work day. He had a couple of walks and a lot of playtime. We appreciated the photos and updates we received. Thanks Judith!”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Yingshu and Shervin! From the moment we met them, we knew our puppy, Muse, was in caring, capable, and genuinely loving hands. Available on short notice, and they went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and messages that gave us complete peace of mind. When we picked her up, Muse was relaxed, happy, and clearly very well loved. It’s such a gift to find people you can fully trust with your pet, and we are beyond grateful for the incredible care they provided. We would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for dependable, compassionate, and exceptional pet sitters. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our little Muse!”

“Rodrigo was an amazing dog sitter! I’m very happy with the care he provided for Milo. When I picked him up, Milo was calm, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of, which says a lot. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter!”

“Lenny was well taken care of for the day. We appreciated the thorough update and photos that Mihoko shared with us. Lenny will look forward to daycare again in the future”

“Julianna and Amine have helped with Ody so many times now. They send regular photo and video updates. I know that Ody is in good hands when he’s with them. Thank you for caring for my floofy cloud. :)”

“Jean accommodated a last minute booking to watch my dog Louie during the heat wave. From the initial booking and throughout Louie’s stay, Jean was very responsive and provided many updates, which was appreciated! I can tell Louie was well taken care of and had a great time with Jean and the other dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Our Portuguese water dog Splash spent a day with Faye for doggy day care. Faye sent several text updates and videos during the day, to show us how our sweet girl was doing. I'd mentioned to Faye that Splash is a real "people dog," and she sent several videos to reassure me that Splash was getting lots of cuddles. Faye is a warm, friendly person, and it's clear that she loves dogs. It was good to know that Splash was in good hands while we were out for the day. We've booked Splash with Faye for a 10-day stay in a couple of months. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services.”

About: **Starting March 24, 2026, Rover will be taking 40% of our service price (previously 30%), so I will need to increase my fees accordingly. Sorry everyone!** I have been a dog lover my whole life! I grew up with boxers and now I have a very energetic golden retriever who is four years old. I have puppy training experience as well as senior dog care experience. I am an extremely reliable, responsible, and diligent person. I fall in love with every dog I meet and I would absolutely make sure that your beloved furbaby would be in good hands! I work from home most of the time and my schedule is flexible. I'm able to take walks and do home visits during most workdays in addition to most evenings and weekends. I will make sure I get all the information from you to ensure your dog stays happy and healthy in my care. I want your dog to be comfortable and just have fun!
“Smiley had so much fun at Andrea’s house! He was very happy to see her the next time we went back. Smiley got plenty of cuddles, playtime and walking and was definitely a spent, content puppy by the end of the day. Would definitely recommend and rebook with her. Thanks Andrea!”

“Karen was amazing with my 2 little nervous rescue pups. They are usually anxious in new places but they fit right in at Karen's and didn't show any signs of anxiety. They didn't even really react when I left. They had a fun day playing with Karen's dogs both in the house and in the lovely back yard. They come home relaxed and tired - a sure sign of a good day! Thanks so much Karen for your sensitivity and calm approach with Molly and Ruby... they'll be back for sure!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Qianzhi! Since this was our first time using a pet sitter, we really appreciated how understanding and accommodating she was. She was incredibly flexible with our schedule and communication was excellent throughout the whole experience. Most importantly, Peach absolutely loved her! Peach can be very picky, especially when meeting new people, so seeing how comfortable and happy she was with her meant so much to us. We felt completely at ease knowing Peach was in such caring and capable hands. We would definitely recommend her and would happily have her care for Peach again! ❤️🐾”

“Sawyer has had a great start with Jacelyn and Jason. He has never had dog sitting before, and he has not spent a lot of time away from friends and family. With back to the office starting, we were looking for a solution and he has been really good so far. On his second visit when he hopped out of the car and realized where he was he went straight for the door, tail wagging which is a great sign. We plan to continue booking and working with them as care providers for Sawyer.”

“Scottie had a great day. Alfie and Mango were waiting for her in the backyard when she arrived. She looks happy in all her pictures and she slept for a few hours when she got home! Thanks Ashley, Scottie will be back.”

About: I do have neighbours who asked me to take care of their dogs and clients at my pet grooming salon that I used to work at I’m just taking some time off so I’m home all day. I have a 10-year-old spayed great Dane, who is updated on her vaccines. She’s a very nice dog, but is old and usually just sleeps all day. She is used to doggy daycare and I used to bring her to the daycare every day until she got a bit older and more tired. I love to go for a walks, but unfortunately, she can’t walk that long because of her hips. I would love to take dogs on long walks. I also offer bathing and nail clipping which I used to do at my job. I’ve run doggy daycare. So I’m pretty much familiar with every breed and their personalities. I honestly love dogs and they are allowed on my couch or anywhere they wanna go really. I’d be taking them out at least every two hours. I do take puppies also and do my best to train with potty training and walking without pulling and sitting while asked. I’ve trained my great Dane very well. She listens on command and never pulls me while walking. I used to take her on a busy road. And we do a few steps and then I would ask her to sit and once she did sit, we would continue our walk if she pulled I would ask her to sit again and then we would continue our walk. I’ve also trained dogs at work and that’s part of the whole daycare job also with jumping dogs and potty training. Neighbours have asked me to babysit their dogs as well as clients at the pet grooming salon. I honestly love all breeds of dogs and your dog or puppy will be in great hands and I also allow them in my car. I don’t currently work right now. I am on a leave and that’s why I would love to take care of pets during my free time. I’m usually home all day unless I go to the grocery store, but that’s about it. If I’m not home, my fiancé is. My children are also great with dogs and cats. Currently, I only offer boarding in my house. I allow them to go on the couch on my bed basically my house is a home for them. They won’t be crated unless they’re used to be crated and if that’s what you prefer. But I would never crate a dog unless specified by the owner.

About: I've been working with dogs since I graduated from high school. I was a dog trainer not 4 years ago, and can help with any training that may be required/requested! I also have experience working in a shelter, so any trouble makers or anxious pups won't scare me away! I am currently on my summer break from university, which means I have lots of time to watch and play with your pet! I am offering to house sit for you at any time and for any length of time, or if you prefer drop in visits/walks around the neighborhood, I would love to help in any way I can. Any and all care I provide to your pet in your home is dictated and approved by you. I've worked with both dogs and cats who have moderate to severe dietary restrictions, as well as mobility issues, allowing for a more experienced sitter than others. They're safety and happiness is always my number one priority, and I will ensure they are given the best care available.
“Amazing as always! Thank you Bonnie for taking care of our boy Ace! He always looks forward to your visits and it’s nice to have peace of mind that he’s being well taken care of while we’re away!”
“My dog took an instant liking to Erica. She is clearly very comfortable with big dogs who love to be loved (and might be a bit over exuberant). Erica quickly responded and was a pleasure to meet. I have no hesitation in recommending Erica’s dog walking services.”

“I was very lucky to find Brittany to walk my standard poodle. She has a great way with him. She is always on time and very responsive. I will definitely be using her walking services in the future!”

“Kirstin & Justin walked Rhea twice while I was out of the house for an extra long work day. They were attentive to her needs, provided pupdates with photos, and were cared for her like she was their own. I was also appreciative that they took the time to meet her with me before their first solo walk so they could familiarize themselves with Rhea’s specific quirks/commands/temperament. 10/10! So grateful to have found trustworthy folks to care for my angel.”

“Very sweet, she always takes such amazing care of my dogs. Is the sweetest walker I’ve ever had, takes many pictures while on walks, or house sittings so I can see my dogs. Always asks permission if my dogs are allowed certain treats. I would 110% recommend her if you need your dog taken care of. 10/10”
“Juan picks up my dog twice a week for trips to the dog park. He's always on time, communicates how the walk went, and is genuinely friendly and personable. My dog adores going with him, she gets so excited whenever he arrives, and I always know she's had a wonderful time because she comes home ready for a nap! I highly recommend Juan if you're looking for a regular dog walker”

“Jen is amazing with my three pups! They love when they see her pull up to the house to go on there walks! I really appreciate everything she does and love getting the pictures of their adventures while I’m at work!”

“Grace has been awesome with my dog, Toto. She’s super easy to work with, communicates really well, and has been incredibly accommodating with my schedule, even when I’ve needed a walk booked on short notice. Toto can be a pretty anxious guy, and Grace has been great with him. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and takes the time to make sure they’re comfortable and well looked after. I always know he’s in good hands when he’s with her. It’s such a relief knowing Toto is getting his exercise and burning off some energy when I’m not able to get him out myself. Grace is reliable, friendly, and just overall a pleasure to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker.”

“Johanne was beyond amazing with my dogs. She was always on time, kept up communication, got some fantastic photos and kept us updated about both our dogs. I was worried at first as one of my dogs is a muscular puller and thought for sure that it would be a challenge but not at all. She handled both dogs perfectly and I am pretty sure she taught them to be bilingual as well. 10/10 she will be my number one choice and the only person I will recommend to others. I can not express how happy we were with our experience. I am not sure if there are awards or 6 star status but If anyone from the Rover teams see this Johanne should be given elite status.”

“Christopher went above and beyond dog sitting. I was under intense time constraints for a quick work trip, Chris alleviated many of my additional stressors and was accommodating and flexible. They ensured that my big guy was well loved and cared for, I was updated regularly. It's never easy to leave your pup, but I felt comfortable and confident in their care.”
