“Sabrina was reliable and made friends with my elder cat. It was the first time I had left him for such a long time. She sent me daily reports, pictures and commentary on how he was doing. She seems to understand cat language. I would use her again.”

“Bonnie makes life better! My cats adore Bonnie. She is incredibly thorough & caring. Such a relief knowing that my cats are cared for so well when they’re in Bonnie’s care.”

“Brianna spent a very busy holiday weekend taking care of all the furbabies and dedicated an hour of her time each day to keeping my kitty company — he loves his wet food and playtime and Brianna made him happy!”
About: Growing up with dogs gave me a lifelong love for pets, but caring for my own senior bulldog with complex medical needs is what made me a dedicated, attentive caregiver. I am fully confident giving medications, managing special diets, and maintaining daily routines. My home offers a quiet, calm environment with a fully fenced backyard (access includes stairs) for safe, stress-free fresh air and potties. Whether your dog is a high-energy pup needing structured play or a senior who needs a gentle, specialized touch, I tailor my care to make them feel right at home. I'm currently home full-time, so your dog will enjoy round-the-clock companionship and regular attention. They will never be left alone for extended periods, allowing me to maintain their usual feeding schedules, potty breaks, and playtime. I can provide lots of affection, closely monitor their comfort, and ensure a smooth, stress-free stay. In my home, pet care is built around safety, comfort, and routine. I have a fully fenced backyard (access includes stairs) for secure play and potty breaks, as well as a nearby walking trail (Apr-Nov) for peaceful outings. My senior dog is neutral toward other pets and spends most of her day relaxing on the couch. We also have two cats, but my home layout allows us to keep them fully separated if your dog prefers a cat-free environment or gets overly excited. I prioritize maintaining a familiar schedule, meal times, and exercise routine to make them feel safe and loved.
“Joanna did a great job! She was on time each day, did everything we asked to keep our pups happy, and sent us adorable pics to show us how they were doing. Our pups missed us while we were gone, but not as much thanks to Joanna's great care. We'll ask her back again!”

About: I've had pets in my life for many years. I raised my Schnauzer from a puppy and had him for over 13 years. Now I have a 9-year-old American Shorthair cat, and I've had him since he was a kitten. So I've been there through different stages of their lives, and I understand that what they need can change as they get older. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I'm more than happy to play with them, keep them company, and give them lots of attention. If your dog loves being active, I'd also be happy to go for a run with them! As a pet owner myself, I know how much we worry about our pets when we're away. I'll follow their usual routine and your instructions, pay attention to how they're doing, and send you photos or videos so you know they're happy and doing well. My schedule is pretty flexible right now, so I have plenty of time for drop-in visits throughout the week and on weekends. I'm usually available from late morning through the evening, and I'm also happy to provide regular weekly care if your pet needs a familiar face around! I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I'll follow their normal routine and your instructions, keep an eye on how they're doing, and always double-check doors and gates. I'll also respect their personality and give them all the time, space, play, or cuddles they need to feel at ease with me. And of course, I'll always respect your home and your privacy.
“Victoria was truly amazing:) I had a last minute vacation booked with my mum and was in a complete panic searching for someone who could administer medication for one of my fur babies, and more importantly, someone I could trust with my kids while I was away...I couldn't be happier. She accepted the job on short notice and when my flight was cancelled and I was terrified that my cats wouldn't have anyone go to visit, she quickly agreed to the additional days. I came back, the house was immaculate and my cats were desperate for my love: a great sign! When they don't get enough attention I'm typically punished for a few days. I received pictures and updates every day and I can't thank her enough, nor can I do anything but recommend her with complete confidence! An amazing first experience with this app:)”

“Erica did a wonderful job with Louie during her drop-in visit today. She spent quality time playing with him, took him for a walk, and made sure all his needs were taken care of. Louie had a bit of an upset stomach, and Erica communicated with us right away, which we really appreciated. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was attentive, responsible, and keeping a close eye on him. Thank you, Erica, for taking such great care of Louie!”

About: Hi! My name is Karinne, but most people call me Kiwi (no, I am not from New Zealand!). I was born and raised in Ottawa, and now live in a house in Nepean with my partner and our 4-year old Miniature American Shepherd, Kali. We love being outside and being active, so your pet will get plenty of fresh air and exercise while being well-loved and well cared for. I started providing services on Rover in 2019 when we lived in an apartment building, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my public health nursing job kept me busy and working long hours, so I had to take a break from Rover. Then we bought a house and got a puppy, and now that we are settled into our home and routines, I am excited to be back on Rover to support others and their pets! I grew up with a love of animals and pets (I literally still have two bins full of stuffed animals that I collected as a child and pretended I owned all the pets in the world). Even though I wasn't allowed to have my own dog as a child, I have always been surrounded by friends' and family's dogs my entire life, and I've often taken care of their pets during their vacations as if they were my own. My partner and I bought our first house and our first dog in the same year, and we've loved every minute of it! I am a Public Health Nurse and work most days from home, so my availability works around those days in-office (i.e. I won't book any walks, visits, or day care on days I am in the office). For any dog boarding, my partner works fully remote at home, so there is always someone in the house with the dogs even if I have to go into the office. We go on 3 walks a day with our dog Kali, ranging from 20 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day and weather. If it is storming, we often do enrichment or training indoors instead. On weekends we try to do longer adventures like a hike in Gatineau Park or swimming in the river! During our daily walks, our dog Kali walks very well on a leash and doesn't pull (until we get close to the neighbourhood park!). She is excellent at walking with other dogs, and generally just ignores them while walking. If your dog prefers to walk alone, that is not a problem! I can accommodate and leave our dog with my partner. Our house is a split-level home with a fully fenced backyard. Dogs will always be supervised while playing in the yard. During the day, Kali has free-range of the entire house and is allowed on furniture, but we are flexible and can accommodate different rules to meet your dog's needs. We also have different areas of the house that can be closed off if the dogs need a break from each other. Kali is crate-trained; she sleeps in her crate at night and eats all her meals in her crate. If we are caring for your dog in our house, we would do our best to ensure there is always someone home and stick to your dog's routines as much as possible.
About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and other kinds of pets. I currently have 3 cats and 1 guinea pig(closed caged).our dog sadly passed away at almost 12 a few years ago. I've helped many friends and family with pet care services for their dogs and cats while they are on vacation. I will be returning to college in the spring to become a veterinary Assistant. I know how to recognize changes in behavior or not feeling well. I love all animals like they are my own. I am currently unemployed and am looking to start my path in pet services part-time as I am becoming a veterinary assistant and must complete some online courses before hand. When caring for friends and family pets, I usually go to their house and do the feeding, letting dogs out or going for a walk, clean cat litters and ensure they have water. In my home my guinea pig is in a closed cage in a room that if I would need to lock up my cats for the day it would be okay. My cats are free in my house and we have multiple litter boxes and water bowls and fountain. We currently do not have a fenced yard but the fence will be going up this summer.
“Tanya-Ann and Enrique were very flexible and attentive to my two cats, ensuring each got the right diet food. They also went out of their way to return my key. Definitely recommend their services!”

“We are very satisfied with Kaela: immediate response time, excellent attention to detail, and great care and love to our kitty. It's reassuring to know someone in the neighborhood who will provide the best care to our pet. Thank you, Kaela!”

“Kate took excellent care of our cat, Ginny. It was our first time using a pet sitter and we would certainly consider using Kate again next time we go away. We received daily updates and pictures and our cat warmed up to Kate during the week.”

“We were incredibly grateful to find Saranya on short notice to look after our dog. From the very beginning, she was responsive, caring, and professional. She took wonderful care of our dog, providing plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and kept us updated throughout the stay. We highly recommend Saranya to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate dog sitter. We would absolutely book with her again in the future!”

“Xjandria provided punctual and consistent visits with Leo, our Bengal. She sent cute pictures, played, and spent quality time with him. Leo was very content upon our return home. We will definitely trust our sweet Leo, and our home, with her again 💕”

“We are very pleased with Rosa's drop-in services. Rosa took time to meet with us and get to know our puppy ahead of the drop-ins. She has been reliable and trustworthy. She provides us with updates and we feel she cares for the well being of our pet. We would recommend Rosa for pet sitting services and will hire her again.”

Miaozi has taken care of our cat multiple times and done an excellent job! She is always on time and sends photo updates, and takes the time to play. She even took her time to refrigerate an unexpected package that arrived while we were away! She is polite and enthusiastic and we would recommend her. Hailey!

Alyssa is an absolute super star! She looked after our elderly kitty, making certain his physical needs were met. Not only that, but she took the time to treat him to his favourite thinks, cookies and lots of chin scratches! All of that, and she had to contend with horrendous weather conditions to see him daily. Thank you, Alyssa!
