“Victoria was kind, friendly and you can tell she truly loves animals. My dogs were thrilled to meet her and I wouldn’t hesitate trusting an animal in her care again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Brianna took excellent care of our two sweet senior kitties while we were away for a week. They were very happy to see her every day for much-needed snuggles and wet food. I knew they were in good hands and I booked her again next month when we will be away for almost two weeks!”
“Kim visited our new puppy Doug when I had to return to work. It has made the transition so much less stressful to know he gets a kind, reliable visit a couple times a day! We will definitely be using Kim for drop in visits in the future!”

“Kaela always goes above and beyond to ensure our kitty gets her pills. She even took out our recycling for us while we were gone, which was a pleasant surprise. She always ends her stay with a lovely polaroid of our kitty too. These small things make her the best pet sitter!”

About: Hi! My name is Karinne, but most people call me Kiwi (no, I am not from New Zealand!). I was born and raised in Ottawa, and now live in a house in Nepean with my partner and our 4-year old Miniature American Shepherd, Kali. We love being outside and being active, so your pet will get plenty of fresh air and exercise while being well-loved and well cared for. I started providing services on Rover in 2019 when we lived in an apartment building, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my public health nursing job kept me busy and working long hours, so I had to take a break from Rover. Then we bought a house and got a puppy, and now that we are settled into our home and routines, I am excited to be back on Rover to support others and their pets! I grew up with a love of animals and pets (I literally still have two bins full of stuffed animals that I collected as a child and pretended I owned all the pets in the world). Even though I wasn't allowed to have my own dog as a child, I have always been surrounded by friends' and family's dogs my entire life, and I've often taken care of their pets during their vacations as if they were my own. My partner and I bought our first house and our first dog in the same year, and we've loved every minute of it! I am a Public Health Nurse and work most days from home, so my availability works around those days in-office (i.e. I won't book any walks, visits, or day care on days I am in the office). For any dog boarding, my partner works fully remote at home, so there is always someone in the house with the dogs even if I have to go into the office. We go on 3 walks a day with our dog Kali, ranging from 20 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day and weather. If it is storming, we often do enrichment or training indoors instead. On weekends we try to do longer adventures like a hike in Gatineau Park or swimming in the river! During our daily walks, our dog Kali walks very well on a leash and doesn't pull (until we get close to the neighbourhood park!). She is excellent at walking with other dogs, and generally just ignores them while walking. If your dog prefers to walk alone, that is not a problem! I can accommodate and leave our dog with my partner. Our house is a split-level home with a fully fenced backyard. Dogs will always be supervised while playing in the yard. During the day, Kali has free-range of the entire house and is allowed on furniture, but we are flexible and can accommodate different rules to meet your dog's needs. We also have different areas of the house that can be closed off if the dogs need a break from each other. Kali is crate-trained; she sleeps in her crate at night and eats all her meals in her crate. If we are caring for your dog in our house, we would do our best to ensure there is always someone home and stick to your dog's routines as much as possible.
“Xjandria provided punctual and consistent visits with Leo, our Bengal. She sent cute pictures, played, and spent quality time with him. Leo was very content upon our return home. We will definitely trust our sweet Leo, and our home, with her again 💕”

“Bonnie is such a great pet sitter. I am thrilled that I found her. The comfort she gives to both our dog Bella and our family is a tremendous relief. I never have to worry when Bella is in her care.”

“We scheduled an additional meet and greet with a walk so that our dog could get more familiar with Nicole. Nicole sent a reminder and was on time. She asked questions to get to better understand our nervous dog and was gentle and patient with her.”

“Saranya gave my kitties lots of love and excellent care over the Christmas holidays! We couldn’t be happier and would definitely have her care for our fur babies another time!”

About: Hi! I have had multiple pets throughout my life. I currently do not have any pets so I can give all my cuddles to your pet!! I’ve volunteer with the humane society and have been trained in delivering medication and applying bandages/dressings on cats/dogs/bunnies of all ages.I have also been trained with how to take care of puppies and kittens- which are super cute! I’m currently working from home so I will be there the whole day if you’re boarding or doing daycare! If it’s a home stay or house visits I’m flexible with what time if anybody has a strict schedule to stay on! I currently live in an apartment on the ground floor so bathroom breaks would be super easy for senior doggies!! For boarding & daycare they are allowed on furniture but need to eat in a designated spot on the floor- couch eating is not allowed! I do also have a craft room with lots of unfinished crafts lying around so no one will be allowed in that room. Everyone else is pretty much open to play or lounge around!
“Joanna did a great job! She was on time each day, did everything we asked to keep our pups happy, and sent us adorable pics to show us how they were doing. Our pups missed us while we were gone, but not as much thanks to Joanna's great care. We'll ask her back again!”

“Katryna is absolutely lovely to work with. My situation was a bit unique and she went out of her way to accommodate us. My girls absolutely love her. They are quite excitable but she is able to get them settled fairly quick. She definately knows what she is doing I will be a regular. Thank you.”

“Sarah was wonderful to have to drop in to check on Luna for the weekend! Really appreciate for the last minute booking! A big plus is she lives nearby me. I will rebook her for any future drop ins! Thank you so much Sarah! You are the best!🤩”

“Tanya was great. Her updates were on time and always full of detail. My cats were happy when I arrived home and the litter and surrounding areas were clean. I would 💯 recommend Tanya.”

“Rebeca is amazing! My cat is very shy and she was able to develop trust and get her to spend time with her. I could relax knowing that she was my cat sitter. She timed the visits very well due to some wild weather. I will be hiring her every time I go in holiday. Thanks so much for taking good care of Punko.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Bells Corners
Miaozi has taken care of our cat multiple times and done an excellent job! She is always on time and sends photo updates, and takes the time to play. She even took her time to refrigerate an unexpected package that arrived while we were away! She is polite and enthusiastic and we would recommend her. Hailey!

Alyssa is an absolute super star! She looked after our elderly kitty, making certain his physical needs were met. Not only that, but she took the time to treat him to his favourite thinks, cookies and lots of chin scratches! All of that, and she had to contend with horrendous weather conditions to see him daily. Thank you, Alyssa!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
