About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

About: Known to be VERY respectful of every fur parents' homes, fur baby training, feeding, walking schedules; loving, enthusiastic, responsible and timely, with strong communication skills. You can always trust me with your fur baby! I have a full time day job and work (on-site) 8am-4pm on weekdays. I also volunteer on Saturdays and have various classes sprinkled throughout the year. I work very well with furbabies who can be alone during the day. I strive to provide a safe and responsible environment. I follow each parents' routine to a T (whether that's feeding amounts or exercise times), so that the fur baby's schedule does not shift upon return. I am also very tuned to differing personalities and will accommodate accordingly.

About: I've grown up around pets and am a genuine animal lover. I'm very patient and passionate about animal welfare, and I've spent time volunteering at animal shelters in Kazakhstan, where I bonded closely with the animals and learned the importance of compassionate care. I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved. The most important quality to me when it comes to animals is patience :) Have 2 years of basic knowledge on training small dogs 3-5 months old, am comfortable with looking after and walking mature dogs 1yr or older. 12 years of experience with cats. Trained in first aid/was a lifeguard for 3 years/ comfortable in high stress environments, can act fast and stay calm in an emergency. Whether it’s daily visits, extended stays, or drop-ins, I make sure to plan my day around each pet’s needs to keep them happy and comfortable. I work part time on a flexible schedule. I have the most availability Monday-Wednesday. I always start by letting pets come to me at their own pace, allowing them to feel safe and in control. I take time to build trust, always respecting their boundaries and reading their body language. Patience is key, especially in new environments. Once they’re comfortable, I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and care. Whether I’m in my home or theirs, I create a calm, nurturing space where they can feel secure and relaxed.

About: I am the go to dog sitter for all of my extended family, and I have sat for small to large dogs. And I have mostly sat for houses with multiple dogs. I work early mornings Monday to Friday, so I’m free during the normal working day. And full availability most weekends with advanced notice. And I can sit multiple days in a row. I can follow whatever routine you have with your pet. I can follow complex instructions, detailed feeding schedules and I have care for an elderly dog that required diabetes shots daily.

About: I have been honoured to be from a very animal Oriented family and have lived on a farm for most of my life. I have cared for and have given the best care and love to animals such as, Guinea pigs, cats, turtles, horses, dogs, and pretty much everything else you can imagine. I was born an animal lover and every animal becomes my family. I can identify special needs in any animal such as first aid, anxiety issues etc I work from home, so your pet has 24/7 attention. Be prepared for your loved one to get 3-4 walks a day along with an hour play time or a trip to the dog park daily! I have a fenced yard. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment I am able make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. We all make mistakes even if it’s our furniture!!! I have tons of training experience to make this not happen! I am fear based certified as I am a canine enrichment volunteer at the Ottawa Humane Society

I currently have a beagle puppy and cat. I love being outside and walking dogs for long walks. I love all animals and can take really good care of them. About: Ive been working with animals ever since I was a little kid. Grew up working with horses and having multiple animals at home! Your pets will be loved and taken well care of till you get back! Will provide updates and photos regularly to reassure you that your pet(s) are being loved and cared for while you are away from home! I’m currently working part-time in Barrhaven. My shifts are on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s from 7:00am-3:00pm. I am allotted an hour lunch break, so depending on the distance your house is away from my work, I would be more than happy to return to your home and provide any needed potty breaks! About: ROVER is my favourite way to enjoy pets and new areas. I work as an education assistant. I work short days on a full time basis. I am able to take weekdays within Ottawa if your pets can be left alone during the day. Weekends, holidays and summers I can go anywhere for my Rover clients. About: Hello! I’ve pet-sat, walked dogs, and cared for animals in friends and family’s homes for over 14 years. Looking to do it more often and expand my clientele. I love animals and really enjoy pet-sitting in either my home or yours. I work 2 minutes from home so taking care of them during the day is very easy.
