While I may not have formal experience in dog boarding services, my genuine love and care for dogs are what motivated me to start this business. I believe that providing a safe and loving environment for dogs is essential, and I am excited to offer my services to fellow dog owners. Amy is amazing with my crazy dog and he seems to be much calmer after his hour walk with her. She is very professional and asks all the right questions. She always turns up on time or a few minutes early and he always gets his full hour walk. I would highly recommend Amy as your dog walker and hope she’ll continue walking Ollie for as long as I need her🐾😊

About: While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I’ve spent years caring for dogs through family, friends, and my time helping at a veterinary clinic. During that time, I gained hands-on experience handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, assisting with their care, and accompanying them to obedience training classes. I understand the importance of patience, positive reinforcement, and maintaining a safe, structured routine. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with good company, I’ll provide dependable, loving care and treat them like they’re part of my own family. I’m currently not working and would love to spend my down time caring for animals as it has always been a passion of mine. Schedule is pretty flexible. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and maintain their normal routine. I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while also respecting each pet’s individual personality and comfort level. I currently provide care in my clients’ homes rather than my own, as I want to ensure every pet is in the environment where they feel safest and most relaxed. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 years old. I'm very patient and love working with animals to ensure that they are comfortable. I work at home during the day from Monday-Friday and care for my Shih tzu throughout each day. I bring her for many walks each day. I am flexible in the care for my clients pets. Based on client recommendation, I can either give their pets their own comfortable space or, if they enjoy the company of people and other dogs, I can slowly introduce them to my dog in a shared space.

About: Hi! I’m Bridget, a veterinary technician with over 25 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, including seniors, anxious pups, and dogs needing medication or special care. I have based my career around pet care. Myself and my partner Glenn offer dog boarding and daycare on our quiet family farm near Ottawa, with small group sizes, slow introductions, and a calm home-style environment. Our intentions are to make sure your pets stay is enjoyable and you are able to enjoy your time away knowing they are well cared for. **Please note that our drop off and pick up times 7:00 am-10:00 am or 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. If you need to schedule outside of these please specify when booking. Pet care is my primary daily responsibility. As a veterinary technician and farm based pet care provider, my days are structured around the dogs in our care. I am on-site throughout the day for feeding, play sessions, enrichment, medication administration, and health monitoring. Dogs follow a consistent routine with multiple outdoor breaks, supervised group play, rest periods, and individualized care as needed. Overnight care is provided in safe, secure indoor spaces or cabins, with regular check-ins and established emergency protocols. Because this is a dedicated pet care operation not a "side gig" I am able to maintain predictable routines, close observation, and flexibility for senior dogs or pets with special needs. Safety and transparency come first. We provide cage-free boarding and daycare in a calm, low-volume setting on our family farm. Dogs are carefully grouped by size, temperament, and energy level, with structured play, rest periods, and indoor downtime. we are on site daily and follow consistent routines for feeding, medications, outdoor breaks, and health monitoring. As a veterinary technician, I’m experienced in recognizing changes in behaviour or health and responding appropriately. Dogs are not under direct, continuous supervision at all times (such as overnight or during rest periods), but they are cared for in secure spaces with regular check-ins and established safety protocols. This environment is best suited for social dogs, senior dogs, and owners who value experienced, realistic care over a high volume kennel.

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 For now, I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). As of January 1, 2027, I will be fully retired and available 24/7. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. I’m pretty good at interpreting the signs for potty time, but I love learning as much as I can from you about what your baby’s habits, needs and preferences are. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

About: I have had dogs big and small since I was a child. My mother and aunt run a dog kennel with many different breeds and sizes of dogs. They also run a local breeding service giving me lots of experience with dogs young and old. I currently still own a bernadoodle who loves his walks I’m sure as much as your dog does too. I work shift work and on my days off love staying active when I’m not with my children. I love being outside and what better excuse to have than to help get your loved ones some exercise. I am strictly a dog walker or someone who can come to your house and let your animals out in the yard for a stretch and exercise.

About: I grew up with dogs and have always considered them family. Our first dog, Sasha, was adopted four months before I was born and had significant behavioural needs. She was my best friend for thirteen wonderful years, and caring for her taught me patience, attentiveness, and how important it is to meet each dog where they are. Since then, my family has had two more dogs, and I’ve gained experience caring for seniors, managing specialized diets, preparing food, and handling unexpected veterinary concerns. Our current dog, Zyler, has canine megaesophagus and requires specialized food preparation and feeding techniques. He’s a lot of work, but he’s also the absolute love of my life! I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and taking the time to make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I am a full time student. I have 3-5 hours of non-negotiable commitments during the week, but I am a homebody and I can be around constantly outside of synchronous in-person classes. I am free Tuesdays. Saturday’s and Sunday’s without restrictions I care for pets by taking my cues from your animal. Having been a foster volunteer, I am aware of signals and cues and how to respect an animal’s boundaries while caring for their needs. I am the cleanest, most respectful house guest and will leave the place immaculate. I will respect homeowners predefined boundaries while providing as much play and cuddles possible.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I grew up around a wide variety of animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, turtles, frogs, and other small pets. Being around animals for much of my life has taught me from a young age how important consistency, patience, responsibility, and paying attention to even small changes in an animal’s behaviour can be. I’ve also always been around dogs and cats and am comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether your pet loves long walks and outdoor adventures, playtime and enrichment, or would rather curl up for some extra cuddles and attention, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. With my experience caring for animals of all shapes and sizes, I understand that every pet is different. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands! I currently have a very flexible and open schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care! I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and overnight care, and I’m also able to travel to you. Because my schedule is so flexible, I can easily work around your pet’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and plenty of attention and cuddles. I love being able to spend quality time with animals, so your pet won’t just be another stop in my day, they’ll get lots of one-on-one care and companionship while you’re away! I live in a pet-friendly condo where I’ve had friends’ pets stay with me before and always love having some extra paws around! my condo has a balcony and no pet size restrictions, and I'm close to lots of walking trails, green spaces, and dog parks for pets who love getting outside and exploring. Safety and comfort are always my priority. Pets are supervised when using the balcony, and I’m happy to adapt my home to their individual needs and comfort level. I’ll follow your pet’s usual feeding, walking, medication, sleeping, and household routines as closely as possible so they can feel settled and at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m equally respectful of their space and established routine. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, bathroom breaks, and cuddles, while keeping you updated so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for!
