I’m very protective of my cats and I tend to worry a lot when I’m away from them, especially because each of them has a different personality and their own little routine. I left Heather quite a lot of details and instructions, and she was incredibly patient, understanding, and respectful of everything. She kept me updated throughout our trip with messages, pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. What made me happiest was watching our cats gradually become more and more comfortable with her. Even our shy ones started coming around, spending time with her, and eventually even sleeping in her room. It was very clear that she took the time to earn their trust rather than forcing interaction with them. ❤️ Heather went above and beyond in so many ways. I was born an animal lover and every animal becomes my family. I can identify special needs in any animal such as first aid, anxiety issues etc I work from home, so your pet has 24/7 attention. Be prepared for your loved one to get 3-4 walks a day along with an hour play time or a trip to the dog park daily! I have a fenced yard. My golden retriever is very patient and loves all types of dogs. If your dog is allowed on the couch or bed, well so is mine. I would rather your dog be able to cuddle and be comfy right beside me during the night to make them feel trust, and feel more comfortable in a strange environment. I am able to make every animal feel like home. Just ask my references … if your dog likes burger patties from McDonalds or pup cups from star bucks… I’m your girl… I am very experienced with highly reactive and aggressive dogs as well. Unfortunately, I do Have a dog of my own, but can manage very well as I am highly trained with aggressive dogs. I believe all dogs can be trained in a well loved and supportive environment once triggers are identified I spoil every animal like it’s my own! Great with puppies and super forgiving. We all make mistakes even if it’s our furniture!!! I have tons of training experience to make this not happen! I am fear based certified as I am a canine enrichment volunteer at the Ottawa Humane Society

About: I have had my own dog and/or taken care of friends and family's dogs for close to 40 years. Now that I'm retired, I am home all day and available for walks, potty breaks, playtime throughout the day and evenings. We have nice walking paths for plenty of socialization or quiet streets for those who are more on the timid side. Work is now a thing of the past, ready to spend time with more furry four-leggers and less time with bossy two-leggers lol. My days are all about my dogs, reading and going for walks. I have a fully fenced yard, not a huge yard though which is why we prefer to go for multiple walks a day for exercise. About: I grew up with dogs and have always considered them family. Our first dog, Sasha, was adopted four months before I was born and had significant behavioural needs. She was my best friend for thirteen wonderful years, and caring for her taught me patience, attentiveness, and how important it is to meet each dog where they are. Since then, my family has had two more dogs, and I’ve gained experience caring for seniors, managing specialized diets, preparing food, and handling unexpected veterinary concerns. Our current dog, Zyler, has canine megaesophagus and requires specialized food preparation and feeding techniques. He’s a lot of work, but he’s also the absolute love of my life! I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and taking the time to make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I am a full time student. I have 3-5 hours of non-negotiable commitments during the week, but I am a homebody and I can be around constantly outside of synchronous in-person classes. I am free Tuesdays. Saturday’s and Sunday’s without restrictions I care for pets by taking my cues from your animal. Having been a foster volunteer, I am aware of signals and cues and how to respect an animal’s boundaries while caring for their needs. I am the cleanest, most respectful house guest and will leave the place immaculate. I will respect homeowners predefined boundaries while providing as much play and cuddles possible.

About: I have been a volunteer dog foster in Ottawa for more than 8 years now! No matter the injury, background, or breed, I have learnt to deal with them all. Pet care fills easily in my life as I have been doing it for awhile now! I do work a part-time job and will need to leave for around 5 hours in the day but just me about dates and times and I will adjust my schedule ! I treat everyone with respect! I don’t overcrowd or intrude but make you and your pet feel comfortable in my presence. Frequent contact and communication is a valuable skill of mine

About: I have taken care of my cat for 10 years. His name is Miles and he the most lovable cat you you will ever meet. I love animals and animals should always be treated with love, care and respect. I have taken care of different type of dogs throughout my life, small to really big dogs. Animals are just like us in a way, all they need is love and attention. Cats and dogs are our babies and its it's importmant to always have a structure in they're everyday life. . When i have other Dogs or Cats I make sure to set timers so they are able to go for walks, use the bathroom, have nap time, play time and always making sure that they are eating food in a timely manner and also food that is good for the them. I live in an Condo where they can have access to the balcony to get fresh air and sun but it is fence so no animals can go over. I also have a cat and he's super very friendly and loves to cuddle. I always take time to play with animals. its very important to give them as much attention as possible. I also play dog or cat shows. Believe it or not some animals love it. I currently work at home so it works perfectly when watching any animals. Also easy for when the owners would want an update on their love ones. I love to play with animals. They are part of us and its important to show affection and love to them. It's important to know your animals and treat them with respect as well as follow how the owners care for them and imply that as well. Making them feel comfortable is important.
