I’m currently enrolled in school part-time, which gives me the flexibility to dedicate plenty of time throughout the day for dog walks, drop-ins, and quality care. No matter how busy life gets, I will always make time for a dog walk—or a few! I truly enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets never feels like a job to me.

At home, I take an active role in caring for my pets and have experience with both raw food and kibble diets, including proper handling and feeding routines. I also know a few effective tips for getting dogs to take their medication safely and with less stress. Since both of my dogs shed a lot, I brush them regularly and vacuum every other day to keep the house clean. I’m also comfortable trimming nails on both light and dark nails and giving full baths
Information Mya L. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any food/treat allergies, please let me know! I love to give treats for good behaviour on walks. I prefer to only give single ingredient treats when possible (the less preservatives the better)
A typical day
I like to do breed-specific activities and training with my two boys. One enjoys retrieving his ball on the constant and the other enjoys herding with a soccer ball.

Pet care experience
Animals—especially dogs—have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve owned and cared for multiple dogs over the years, including a Maltese Pomeranian mix, and currently a German Shepherd Husky cross and a Lab Aussie Shepherd cross. Caring for active, energetic dogs has taught me the importance of patience, structure, exercise, and giving every dog the love and attention they deserve. To me, dogs are lifelong babies no matter how old they get, and I treat every pet with the same care and affection I would want for my own. What sets me apart from other sitters is my dedication to safety and preparedness. I am currently enrolled in Pet First Aid & CPR training through St. John Ambulance to ensure I can provide extra care in emergency situations. I also keep animal-specific first aid kits both in my home and in my car for added peace of mind. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while their owners are away.
Reviews

“Mya did an amazing job house- and dog-sitting for us for a week! She gave our dogs so much attention, kept us updated throughout, watered our plants, and handled our deliveries. The house was spotless when we returned, and the dogs were incredibly happy. Couldn't ask for a better sitter!"

Highly recommend Mya! She did two one-hour walks with our two separate dogs, and they instantly warmed up to her and felt completely comfortable. Mya has a fantastic personality and is trustworthy. We loved getting the beautiful photos and update card after the walks, and she even brought along treats and water for them. We will definitely be using her services again!
