Although all employees at Hopital Veterinaire General receive training, there are many aspects of the job that simply need to come naturally or be figured out on the spot. Caitlin thrived in our ever-changing environment that constantly demanded multi-tasking, fast thinking and prioritizing. She took the time to absorb and learn from those with more experience at the beginning of her time with us, and when she felt the time was right, she brought her own ideas to greatly improve efficiency and the overall functioning of the hospital. Once Caitlin earned her spot as the head of her department, she was trusted to train and evaluate several staff members. Her guidance and feedback were invaluable to us, so much so that we decided to further invest in her and ask her to come in for some “administration only” shifts. During these shifts, she did very important work which she should be proud of. She created hospital protocols, staff schedules and training materials all while managing an impressive amount of medical and over the counter inventory. It was always a breath of fresh air when we had Caitlin around, because we knew that the animals as well as the technicians and veterinarians who required her assistance were in the very best hands. Whether tasks were big or small, strenuous or simple, she would treat every moment with precision, patience and care. She had a remarkable ability to act with urgency while keeping a sense of calm; a perfect balance for our often tense environment. Caitlin deserves to be a top runner for any position that she applies for. She is a tremendous communicator, always completes tasks with impeccable detail, and is honestly a delight to be around. We are lucky to have had Caitlin as a part of our team and will always cheer her on in anything she chooses to do in this world. She definitely left her mark on us and we know how lucky we are to have had her as a special member of our team.
