“So beyond grateful for the love and care Hailey showed our two cats AND our home! Before her stay, she took the time to ask all the necessary questions and met with us face-to-face to answer ours. While we were away, she was communicative and responsive, sending daily pics and providing updates on how the cats were doing. Part of what drew me to Hailey was that in her profile, she mentioned being familiar with various cat personalities. My two are ultra-shy and afraid of everyone. Hailey respected their space while remaining present with their needs. From the second you meet her, it’s clear she’s compassionate, kind, and a lover of animals. Exactly the kind of person you want looking after your pet! Would confidently recommend Hailey for pet care and house-sitting needs. I hope to hire her again in the future!) Humans and cats agree: Hailey gets five stars and five paws up. 💕”

“Sarah is an INCREDIBLE person to take care of your furry friend! She gave me detailed updates, was so thoughtful in her interactions, and gained the trust of my shy cat in no time! She has so much love for animals and I’m grateful my cat had her while I was gone.”

“Catherine was very attentive with our old boy Blitz. We booked her very last minute for a long weekend and we received many update photos and Blitz didn't want her to go!”

“Anna was amazing with our fur baby. She took great care of Rocky while we were away for a week. She sent updates with pictures, was great at communicating and left our place impeccable. 10/10 would recommend and will book again.”

“Viktoria was great! Our dog has separation anxiety, and being away from me is hard for him. Viktoria was patient and very understanding. Overall, really trustworthy experience, especially as it was our first time doing an in-home stay. Thanks again!”

About: Hi! I'm Manuela (30). I have cared for companions belonging to friends and fellow furry parents, and I genuinely enjoy helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. A big part of my experience comes from my beloved Yorkie, Theo ❤️. He lived with a neurological condition, which taught me the importance of patience, consistency, routine, and paying close attention to an animal's well being. Through him, I gained experience with training, medications, and adapting care to meet specific needs. Most importantly, Theo taught me that animals are family. Although he is no longer with me, the love and lessons he gave me inspired me to open my heart to caring for other animals with the same level of attention, compassion, and dedication. 💛🐾 I work from home, which allows me to provide regular attention throughout the day. During the week, I’m available for walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles before 8:00 a.m., during lunch, and again in the evenings. On weekends, I have a flexible schedule and am happy to discuss your dog's specific needs. Trust means everything when caring for a beloved companion. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable, respected, and cared for in their familiar environment. Whether it's keeping up with daily routines, providing companionship, or following special care instructions, I strive to create a calm and positive experience while their family is away.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets for longer than I can remember! Working at the Canine Club brought me great experience with caring for over 30 dogs at once, which included feed time, play time, and care. I worked overnights to insure the safety for each and every dog. Caring for animals brings me a new perspective on life, it feels me with so much joy and love! At the moment I work nights on the weekends and I’m not in school currently so I’m free for any of your pet friendly needs! I insure your animals get the loving and care they need while you’re away. I make sure they get to the walks they deserve and every ounce of my attention.
“Kristy was an absolute delight to connect with. She is reliable and communicative, and she made me feel right at ease with leaving my elderly kitty in her care. I would absolutely recommend her as a cat and house sitter!”

About: I’ve had pets at home my entire life, and it’s been a privilege having my best friends grow up with me. I have 14 years of experience in routine dog care (my own and clients’) from puppies to elder dogs weighing 3kg-75kg. I’m comfortable with overnight sitting, drop-in medication administration, walking various sizes, following owner-outlined instructions, and managing multi-dog/pet households. My cat care experience of 2 years includes drop-in feeding, play, and checking water levels for 3 cats. — I speak English/Je parle Français/Hablo Español I’m a newer Montréal resident and currently working part-time, so I have a flexible weekday/weekend schedule to make your pet(s) my priority for both shorter visits and longer stays! At a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so that pets feel safe and comfortable while their owner’s away. I follow instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific medications or dietary needs, if required. While making sure your fur family gets plenty of attention, exercise, and enrichment, I’ll also be keeping your home safe during sittings.
“Chayse took very good care of my cat Mouchou. She was also Housesitting and kept my place very clean. When I returned, Mouchou was in good spirits which tell me that she was well cared for! I would highly recommend Chayse as a pet/house sitter.”

About: I have had pets since the day I was born. I have taken care of dogs and cats of various ages, breeds and behaviours. I was born and raised in Turkey where there are sadly many stray dogs and cats however there is a great culture of taking care of neighbourhood strays as a community. I love and admire all animals with a passion and have made sure to make them a part of my life always. I’m currently unemployed and on summer break so until further notice I will be available for pet care all throughout the week, 24/7. I like to go on long walks myself so walking dogs is just an added treat for me :). I am willing and able to take care of pets in your home also. Unfortunately, I do not currently live in an apartment that allows pets therefore I cannot take care of them in my own house. Starting with my own experience with pet care, I will make sure to follow clear guidelines from clients in terms of what is expected in their house and for their pets. I will make sure the pets that are under my care are in a safe and loving environment. I will meet all the agreed upon needs and expectations of both my pets and their owners during my stay. I will always be available and fully transparent in my communication with clients.
“Chantal did an amazing job looking after our dog and house while we were away in Europe. We came home to a clean and tidy house with happy dogs 😊 We strongly recommend Chantal for caring for your pets while you’re away!”

“Ilya is an amazing sitter, great communicator and was very attentive to my girls! I received updates and lots of photos during my trip — I felt very at ease knowing my 2 dogs were in good hands. I have one very shy dog and Ilya did a great job handling her/winning her over. Ilya went the extra mile to leave my place clean for when I got home (which was so nice because I arrived super late). I absolutely recommend Ilya!”

“Irmak was amazing! Very professional, reliable, respectful and great communication. My babies LOVED her - she took great care of them, played a lot, cuddled and even brushed them. She went the extra mile, with little things, without me asking. It was very easy to trust her and she did not disappoint. 10/10 would recommend and will rebook in the future!”

“Madeleine and Fred took to each other immediately, making me feel incredibly at ease with leaving them together for a couple of hours! Madeleine's bubbly, animated, and friendly personality is particularly endearing, and her can-do attitude makes me confident in knowing that Fred is being left in good/capable hands! Would 10/10 rebook!”

Lorenço is the sitter you're looking for! He's been caring for my energetic 4-month-old terrier several days a week and has consistently been reliable, patient and understanding (especially during the ongoing puppy biting phase!) He adapts to Watson's needs and treats him like his own. I always know Watson is in great hands while I'm at work. I trust Lorenço completely and highly recommend him. 15/10!

Angela looked after Cosmo and Neumos for the first part of our vacation. Despite her young age, she showed incredible maturity—she was polite, proactive, and always kept us in the loop with regular updates. She had no prior experience with a megaesophagus condition, but she stepped up to the challenge and managed his routine flawlessly. We highly recommend her!

Lisette is a very vibrant and passionate sitter, and it really shows that she cares about what she does. Missy can be anxious when I leave and Lisette was gentle, attentive and affectionate with her, clearly took the time to make Missy feel comfortable and secure. I returned home to a calm and relaxed cat and a happy dog. I really appreciated the kindness she showed my pets and would gladly book with her again.

I highly recommend him as a pet sitter! He stayed with our dog and two cats for 3 days and took excellent care of them. Our dog has separation anxiety, so we were nervous about leaving him, but he quickly made him feel comfortable and well cared for. He kept us updated throughout the stay, gave all of our pets plenty of attention and love, and made us feel at ease while we were away. We’re very grateful for the care he provided and would happily recommend him to others.

Scott was very kind and patient with Molly. She seemed comfortable with him right away and enjoyed spending time with him. He communicated throughout the booking and was understanding and flexible. I appreciated his calm demeanor and his positive attitude with Molly.

There truly aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Lindsay was with our cat, Kiki. Kiki is a senior cat with chronic kidney disease and constipation, which means she requires at least three medications daily, along with subcutaneous fluid injections. Lindsay took the time to learn how to give the fluids and handled Kiki’s care with so much patience and kindness. Every single day for three weeks, she carefully kept track of Kiki’s food intake, litter box habits, medications, and fluids with so much care and consistency. The level of dedication she showed gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Lindsay really cared about Kiki, and we know Kiki was happy and comfortable having her around. On top of taking such wonderful care of our cat, Lindsay also left our home spotless. We came back to fresh, clean bedding and some home cooked food in the fridge. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and dedicated pet sitter.

FAQs for House Sitting - Saint-Raymond
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Saint-Raymond on Rover is $52.17 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,139 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Saint-Raymond. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Saint-Raymond maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Saint-Raymond walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Saint-Raymond choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
