About: I'm a professional dog handler recently moved back to Montreal. I have been a dog handler for over a decade, starting in dog daycare in Vancouver, BC. For the past five years, I have been independently walking pups in and around Montreal. I am very comfortable with reactive dogs, and offer one-on-one walks where we can work on skills and obedience. If your pup prefers to have a pack, we can find a group that really suits them for urban neighborhood walks or Park adventures. If your puppy needs to work on basic skills I am passionate about positive reinforcement training methods, and I would love to chat about that. I'm comfortable putting on and taking off any gear needed for the weather, we usually walk rain shine or snow. Happy to cater to any dietary needs, and I am comfortable administering any medication needed. We can chat about energy level and exercise needs; if it's a senior pup that prefers companionship over a long walk, we can play a brain game or do some indoor fetch after a shorter walk. Dog walking is my only job, and I am flexible with my schedule. I am happy to walk morning, afternoon or evening, I'm sure we can find something that works! A big part of making your pup feel comfortable is keeping to their schedule, so I stick to their established routine as closely as possible. I personally love hiking and long walks, and as they say, a tired pup is a happy pup. This will mean something different for every pup, so we can go over their day-to-day in detail during our meet and greet. Comfortable administering any medication needed, light grooming and keeping up any obedience training. I'm certified in pet first aid through Walks n' Wags, which I continue to keep updated. I have a pet first aid kit on my person for all dog walks and park adventures. I love to work on obedience, especially recall, so I always have a big pouch of high value treats on me. I use positive reinforcement only, so please let me know if you dog has any food allergies, sensitivities or dietary restrictions of any kind. I'm a very experienced dog and house sitter, happy to provide lots of additional references from my walking clients in Montreal.
