Marlowe is an 11-year-old pug with mobility problems and a complicated medication schedule, and she arrived only days after a veterinary emergency; unsettled, temporarily off one of her usual medications and not eating normally. This was a demanding assignment, yet they handled it with patience, kindness and extraordinary attention to detail. They followed her medication instructions carefully, obtained her usual pill pockets when she resisted taking them, adapted her meals until she began eating, took her outside as often as her condition allowed and cared for her through disrupted nights. Their communication was outstanding: regular, detailed and completely candid updates about her medication, appetite, bathroom habits, mobility and mood, along with lovely photos. They asked exactly the right questions, noticed small changes and never minimized or concealed anything. Importantly, I always felt Marlowe was safe, closely watched and genuinely cared for. Eugene and Arina went far beyond ordinary dog sitting and handled a difficult first stay with warmth, responsibility and good humour. I returned to a happy little dog. I would trust them with Marlowe again without hesitation and recommend them wholeheartedly, especially to anyone with a senior dog or a pet needing extra care.”

About: I was a foster dog mom for long periods of time. When someone around me gets a new dog, I’m the person they call for help and advice. I have taken care of multiple dogs at a time. I used to live in a community where dogs roamed everywhere and my house was one of their favourite hang out spots. They loved visiting my dog and I, as they knew they would get treats. I would sit and talk to them. I have a lot of patience and I believe that dogs deserve to live their best life, so I try my best to give them a lot of attention and love. I currently work in insurance full time during the week. My job is mostly remote and it is flexible so I could step away from my computer and go on a walk in the middle of my shift. I also occasionally work on the weekends at a respite center for people that have intellectual disability. I treat client’s homes with respect. I make sure that there is nothing unsafe laying around and that they have all that they need. If their pet stays with me, I once again make sure that the environment is safe. My house is always quiet unless the dogs are playing with each other. I don’t have a staircase so it’s easy for the dogs to roam around. I have a big crate if necessary but most of the time the crate is unused.
“We left our dog Zorro with Steven for 8 nights. It was our first time trying Rover and we were a bit nervous since Zorro can be a handful. He has separation anxiety, food allergies, and takes daily meds. We wrote his medication schedule on paper and Steven read through everything making sure to understand and clarify any points if needed. It shows his care and attention to detail in taking care of your dog. When Zorro entered his place he was greeted by his two sweet dogs. Even though Zorro initially barked and was energetic, they stayed silent and calm...which helped Zorro calm down very quickly. You could tell they are used to having other dogs come and go, and get along really well. Steven sent regular updates and photos and it reassured us. We really appreciated the care he showed Zorro and we would definitely use Steven again. He's genuine in his love for dogs and very reliable. About: Hi! I have many years of experience with dogs, cats and birds. Dogs: I have had two dogs in my childhood - a boxer and an Italian greyhound. I am comfortable with any size of dog and acclimated with different temperaments and energy levels. I have also administered chemo pills to a friend’s dog (golden retriever) over the course of two years. Cats: I have had 2 cats over the course of the last 8 years. About: I have had pets in my life for as long as I can remember, I have experience with taking care of both dogs and cats of all ages. I have two cats of my own and would love to be able to take care of your furry family! I’m currently working part time 3 nights a week which can keep me out of the house between 6-8 hours. I'm happy to bring your pup to the dog park if you prefer but I typically prefer to take on frequent long walks (if they are able). And for socialization, I have friends with well socialized neutral non-reactive dogs in fenced in yards for playtime (if you like).

About: I have over 5 years of personal pet care experience and have been pet sitting for multiple friends with pet care over the past year. I helped feed the cats, change water, clean the litter box and give any other treats or play time requested. I am currently home full time and am available for pet care and responsibilities. I love animals and hope to be able to help others take care of the while they are away. I am available for most weekdays and weekends! I have a safe clean apartment that is safe for pets to visit. About: I have had dogs my whole life and have been the primary care taker. Plus I have been a dog walker for about 8-11 months. Been caring lovingly for dogs around my neighborhood. I am taking night classes throughout the week so I free and happy to care for your doggos mornings and afternoons. Whether you need early morning or after lunch. I have a small place therefore I can’t have big animals at home. However I am a respectful and organized girl who will be happy to come over to your place if you need a sitter. If your fur babies need any type of special care, such as scheduled medications, treatments etc. You can count on them being cared for any other special needs they may have :)

“Russell and their family took such fantastic care of our dogs for an extended stay (3+ weeks). We received daily photos and videos, and in them could see how happy our dogs were. They got multiple walks daily, and ran around in the backyard. As someone who has used multiple sitters and kennels, I think this has been one of the best experiences for our dogs. I would 100% recommend having Russell and family taking care of your fur babies; and will definitely use them again if we need dog sitting while in Montreal.”
