About: I'm an experienced cat-owner, but can't have a cat of my own due to my partner's allergies. I'd love to fill this gap by caring for your furry friend while you're away! Think of me as the fun aunt. Your pets will be lovingly cared for--maybe even a little spoiled--in your absence. I'm professional, communicative, and reliable. I have over a decade of experience caring for the pets of friends, neighbors, and other clients. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet behind, and my goal is to make you feel as at ease as possible. I send regular photos and updates, follow instructions to help your pet maintain their routine, and provide a calm, consistent presence to help build trust over time with your furry friend. Please feel free to message me--I'm happy to work something out as far as my schedule allows. When in a client's home I'm respectful, communicative and diligent about following instructions. I want you to feel worry-free while you're away! I'll take my cues from your cat while getting to know them. If they take a little bit of time to warm up to a new person, I'm happy to be a calm, predictable presence while they get used to having someone new in their space. With shy or nervous dogs, I always let them approach on their own terms and give them the freedom to take breaks or step away when needed. I also believe in balancing physical and mental stimulation. Along with fulfilling walks, I enjoy incorporating enrichment like sniffing games, confidence-building activities, and gentle training. These activities work well for high-energy dogs and can also help more nervous or shy dogs feel comfortable and confident. I have experience caring for large and small dogs, puppies, and senior dogs, as well as administering medication including pills, liquids, topical treatments, and ear drops. I am very comfortable following vet instructions and care routines, and I tend to be very organized and attentive to detail. Above all, I genuinely care about each animal’s wellbeing and individuality. I use patience, positive reinforcement, and observation as the foundation of my care, and I always do my best to make sure every pet feels safe, understood, and cared for. I’m currently a work-from-home professional so I am quite flexible time and space wise. I am available at virtually any time and can readily offer overnight care in your home while you’re away. With a persistent attention to detail, I frequently look out for when an animal is trying to communicate a need, such as them wanting water, to play, to eat, to be pet, etc. I always ensure they have fresh, clean water and that they are fed the appropriate amount and on time. I also like to spend quality time with them giving them belly rubs and and behind-the-ear scratches.
