“Kendra did a great job looking after our cats while we were away and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Really appreciated the extra care she took with our shy cat. Would definitely book her again!”

“I’m so glad I chose Anca to visit my cat, she did a fantastic job caring for her. She went above and beyond and provided detailed updates and even brought my cat treats. I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have always loved animals and grew up caring for pets, including my own Maltese, which has given me strong hands-on experience with daily care, grooming needs, and understanding a dog’s behavior and emotions. In addition to caring for my own dog, I have also looked after other pets for family and friends, helping with feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable in their environment. I am attentive to each pet’s personality and routine, and I always aim to provide a calm, safe, and affectionate atmosphere. I treat every animal as if it were my own, ensuring they receive both reliable care and plenty of attention while their owners are away. I am a McGill student with a flexible schedule and generally finish school early, around 2:30 PM, which allows me to be available for afternoon and evening visits or walks on weekdays. I am fully available on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and I am happy to accommodate early morning or later evening requests when needed. I am reliable, punctual, and willing to adapt to your pet’s routine to ensure they receive consistent care and attention. For drop-in visits, I focus on making sure your pet is fed on time, has fresh water, and feels reassured while you are away. I follow your instructions carefully so their routine stays consistent and stress-free. For walks, I ensure pets get safe and appropriate exercise based on their energy level, while always prioritizing their comfort and security. I am attentive, reliable, and happy to provide updates so you know your pet is well cared for.
“Maire was an absolute dream sitter! She stopped in for visits with my anxious 2 year old cat while we were away for 6 days. She was great at communicating and sent lots of photos and updates for each visit. My shy boy instantly loved her and I felt so relieved that he didn't just hide away all week. She had him playing and snuggling. We had an unexpected vet visit just before we left for our trip and she was so great at accommodating the last minute addition to his care. I couldn't recommend her more!! If we need a sitter again I would definitely hope she'd available.”

“Brittany is the dream sitter for my Jacky! I couldn’t ask for anyone better. She comes to visit him twice a week when I’m at the office to keep him company and take him for walks. Brittany is reliable, always on time, responsive, and adapts very well to Jacky’s needs and little quirks. She has already built a wonderful bond with him. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly wonderful sitter for their pet! 🐾💕”

“Annie was amazing. I had a last minute request and she was super accommodating. My girl can be fussy with some people, but she took to Annie really well. From the moment I met her I knew I had made the right decision. I will be using her again in the future.”

“Amazing service by Anna! We were away for two weeks, and she visited daily to look after our cat. She took excellent care of Whiskers, and her daily updates gave us complete peace of mind about his well-being. We highly recommend her service!”

“Eve is so amazing and caring, she managed to make our super anxious cats come out of their hiding within a few days. I felt so much better knowing she’s taking care of them, I will definitely rebook soon!”

About: I'm a lifelong animal lover, and whilst I have more experience with cats, I am also the go-to dog-sitter for my brother's two dogs whenever they need care or looking after! I have experience handling everything from feeding and walks to looking after them overnight. I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and undivided attention I would give my own pets! I have just moved to Montreal and am currently taking French classes to improve my language skills, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons between 1:30pm - 4:30pm. Otherwise, I have a lot of free time and am willing to be flexible to yours and your pet's schedule! I am currently in a sublet that has two indoor cats, so I wouldn't be able to care for pets in my own home. But I would be very happy to stay with your pet in your home and provide any care as needed! I am trustworthy and reliable, and I am truly doing this for the love of animals!

“Amy took care of my cat, Potato, for 5 days and she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly communicative the entire time, always keeping me updated with photos and little notes so I never had to worry. She’s very organized, reliable, and went above and beyond with everything she did. I came home to a happy, relaxed Potato and a clean, well-kept apartment, which says a lot about the care she puts into her work. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such good hands. Highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for a responsible and genuinely caring sitter!”

Merci encore Marion.

Joe loved Eve right away, he was snuggling her all the time! Eve was always there during the time we set and she kept me updated on how my cat was doing with messages and photos, she even went as far as putting the litter next to the road when it was trash day! I will 100% ask Eve to watch over Joe if I need to again!

Peace of Mind! That’s what Sogol provided me and my cat with. Sogol was punctual, dependable and very professional. My cat loved her at first sight! I left town for 7 days. During my other trips, I was hearing that my cat had vomited, had days of diarrhea and had become depressed. With Sogol, none of that happened. My cat loved her so much and played with her so well (Sogol sent me the videos), that I actually feel jealous!!!😂 Thank you Sogol for everything.

Rylan was amazing. We had a unexpected family emergency that extended our trip a little and not only was he able to accommodate, but also did a few other things around the house that made everything so much easier when we got home. All this was done on top of his always amazing pet care.

We are trying this service for the first time and everything went well. Skye and Winston appeared very content after our 24 hours away and Lara’s great TLC. We are very grateful to Lara for sending photos of our feline friends while we were away. Happy to recommend her and the company.

There are 1,781 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Montréal. About 84% of Montréal sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Montréal stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Montréal choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
