“Eve is very reliable and I was not stressed to leave her with my dear Pistache. She came everyday even New year day, and did everything by the book. I will contact her again if I need to. Thank you Eve.”

“Marilyn was really responsible gentleman and communicated perfectly. If you are looking for a sitter but it's hard for you to find someone you can trust she is the perfect person for it. From now on she would be my go to sitter!”

“Kendra was amazing! We were gone for almost a full week and we could enjoy our trip knowing she was there taking care of and providing the best support to my two cats. Kendra was wonderful at communicating and provided a detailed update after each visit. She also provided pictures when she was able to find our very shy cats. We could tell she truly loves animals and took the time and patience to look for them and leave them treats and toys to find. We’ll definitely be booking her again for future trips.”

“It was a pleasure to work with Umut. He was very very polite, conscientious and took great care of my old lady, including giving her medication. He was 100% reliable and I felt confident my kitty was in great hands. I will certainly use his services again next time I go on vacation. Thank you again Umut”

“I’m so glad I chose Anca to visit my cat, she did a fantastic job caring for her. She went above and beyond and provided detailed updates and even brought my cat treats. I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I love dogs! I have been taking care of dogs with Rover for a year and a half so I am familiar with how to respond to different personalities and ensure they're happy and taken care of. I have experience administering oral medication and looking after high-energy puppies. I have also completed canine training with the Toronto Humane Society which covered animal behaviour and positive reinforcement learning. I am currently a Master's student at McGill so I can spend time with a pet for dog walking, house sitting, and drop-in visits during the week! :) I can offer dog walking services and play sessions in the large outdoor parks in the city. I enjoy long walks so distance is not a problem ☺️
“Maire was an absolute dream sitter! She stopped in for visits with my anxious 2 year old cat while we were away for 6 days. She was great at communicating and sent lots of photos and updates for each visit. My shy boy instantly loved her and I felt so relieved that he didn't just hide away all week. She had him playing and snuggling. We had an unexpected vet visit just before we left for our trip and she was so great at accommodating the last minute addition to his care. I couldn't recommend her more!! If we need a sitter again I would definitely hope she'd available.”

“Morgan was absolutely amazing with Coco. From the moment we left him with Morgan, we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. She took such great care of him, gave him so much love and attention, and kept us updated throughout her stay. It was clear that Coco was happy, comfortable, and very well taken care of. We’re so grateful for Morgan and would 100% trust her with Coco again. Thank you so much, Morgan! 🥰 ps: Coco is insulin-dependent and Morgan did well!!”

“Angélique est une personne douce et responsable, je me suis sentie immédiatement en confiance avec elle, pareil pour mes chats qui sont d’un tempérament plutôt sauvage avec les nouvelles personnes. Ils sont naturellement venus à sa rencontre dès les premiers jours. Ça a été pour nous une expérience parfaite à tous les points de vue.”

“Iván has watched my cat Beethoven twice now and always takes great care of him! He has great communication and I can trust that my cat is in good hands. I would definitely recommend him!”

About: English // Français: Entirely bilingual // Entièrement bilingue -- French follows below I basically grew up around animals; my mother is a vet, and when I was a kid I'd beg to go to her clinic with her and take care of all the dogs and cats. I've spent time volunteering at her clinic, helping care for animals and becoming comfortable around pets with different needs. She's taught me how to recognize that a pet may not be feeling well, how to respond appropriately, how to administer oral medications, and how to know when it would be important to contact the owner. She is also the reason I am incredibly comfortable around any and all kinds of animals. I've cared for dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I'm happy to adapt my care to each pet's individual needs. I have never met a pet I didn't immediately love, and you can expect plenty of photo updates... Finding the right angle is my favourite activity! I will make sure to keep your furry friend safe, accompanied, and happy, whether this be on walks or while house sitting! My goal as a dog sitter / walker is to make sure that you as an owner feel at ease knowing your fluff-ball is in caring and capable hands, and that your pet is happy and safe. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any information at all! I reply quickly, my schedules are very flexible, and I would love to hear about your pets and whether I'd be a good fit for them. See you soon! I own a dog myself, so I am no stranger to the feeding, walking, and cleaning routines that come with owning a pet. All I need are a few clear instructions on how you'd like me to care for your pet, and I will get right to it. For any service I offer, I make sure I properly get to know your pet as one of my own, and I can easily take to adapting to their living rhythms. I understand how stressful it can be for a pet to suddenly have a new person around, so remaining within their comfort zone stays my priority as an adaptable sitter to make sure they're as happy as possible.
“Celeste is definitely a cat lover! She took great care of my cat and was wonderful to work with! She sent daily updates, and shared lots of photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: I have taken care of my roommates pets since 2022, meaning I have 4 years of petsitting experience with dogs and cats. From potty walks to long playdates to ensuring giving elderly pets medicine on time, I am an organized and responsible animal lover who will ensure your pet's safety while making them feel loved and taken care of! I currently have a flexible schedule so most weekdays and weekends, mornings or evenings work as long as I am given at least 1 day notice! I ensure I know where they are at all times. I check on them intentionally and frequently to confirm there's no symptoms of discomfort or any general problem. I set alarms for their needs such as food, water, walks, medicine, etc. I pet them and play with them as much as they and their owners allow me!
About: I grew up with a Beagle, helping with his daily care, including feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of affection. Growing up in Istanbul, where caring for community cats and dogs is part of everyday life, I've also spent years looking after stray animals by providing food, water, and companionship. I'm also a proud cat mom; my cat, Timon, now lives with my mom back home in Istanbul. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits in the mornings and evenings. I can also pop in during the day if your pet needs a potty break, a meal, or just some company. I’m available for both boarding and house-sitting throughout the week. I work a hybrid schedule, so I’m home during the day a couple of weekdays and full-time on weekends. I’m especially happy to care for pets who enjoy having some company, attention, and cuddles throughout their stay. I am a very organized person and will make sure that your pet has all the care and company he/she needs. I'm prepared to follow your instructions on what you think is best for them!
“Alexia was great with communication and kindly followed the instructions we left. It was nice to see pics while we were away to know our babies were safe, and it seems like they liked her! Would definitely recommend :)”

About: I’ve lived with, and enjoyed the companion of dogs and cats my entire life. My very first job was dog walking where I became acquainted with all different breeds. Since then, I’ve gained further experience with training and have pet-sat many a four legged friend. I have experience administrating medication, and am happy to accommodate your pup’s specific needs. In addition, I also welcome any four-legged clients who struggle with reactivity on walks. I’m currently enrolled in a part-time French course and am thus able to accommodate most needs and schedules. This includes (but is not limited to) those midday potty breaks, or extra snuggles. Contact me any time of the week for pet care. I am available to pet-sit in your home or drop by for walks, feeding and cuddles. I happy to accommodate your pet’s schedule and preferred routines.

Rachael is an amazing cat sitter! She took such great care of my cat while I was away for two weeks. She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind during my trip. I came home to a happy and well-cared-for cat. I would definitely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet and home!

Danielle was amazing! From the moment we met, I knew my two cats would be well taken care of. As someone who doesn’t love being away from them, I so appreciated Danielle’s updates, photos, and overall availability! If you need a pet-sitter, I would confidently and strongly recommend Danielle!

Samuel was a lifesaver! 🥹 He came over on very short notice when I had a last-minute outing, and it was his first time taking care of my cat. He followed all my instructions perfectly, kept him well-fed and entertained, and took such good care of him. I’m so grateful and would absolutely recommend him!

Rich was so great with our cats! He communicated with us the whole time we were gone and was reliable to show up on time to feed and take care of the girls. They were super comfortable with him and warmed up immediately. We’re already having him come back! Thanks so much, Rich!

Matan is a pro. The key handoff was seamless, my cat warmed to him quickly, and he kept me fed with plenty of photos and updates while I was away. He was also great about following the food, water, and litter instructions I gave him. I would rebook him in a heartbeat. Thanks Matan :)

Kendra was amazing with our two cats while we were away for a week. She went above and beyond by helping us with our booking details, communicating with us throughout our trip and sending lots of photos of our boys. She gave them lots of love and attention, and we felt like she cared for them like her own. We came home to 2 happy kitties! We will definitely be booking with Kendra again in the future.

There are 1,771 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Montréal. About 85% of Montréal sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Montréal stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Montréal choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
