“I am so glad I chose Ibrahim and his wife to take care of my dog while I was away for a few days! He updated me throughout the day, also sent pics and videos. I really value responsiveness especially when it comes to someone looking after my dog, and he definitely showed that! Thanks a lot Ibrahim and until next time :)”

“They were amazing taking care of my dog. They sent me pictures and updates during the time they took care of my little furry baby. Thank you so much! ❤️ Amazing service and care! My dog Nala was very happy, she went on walks, had cuddles and playtime.”

“My dog had never been away from me before Eva sat him for a few days and the whole experience was easy and stress-free thanks to her daily updates. She was insightful enough to keep him separated from her cat to avoid any stressful interactions between them. Thank you so much Eva, I will definitely book with you again in the future.”

“I can't say enough good things about my experience with Eamonn! He made sure to keep me updated every step of the way. His communication skills were great, and it really put my mind at ease knowing I'd receive regular updates. Eamonn was thorough in gathering all the important care information, which made me feel confident that my dog was in excellent hands.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Montréal
This was my first time ever leaving my cat, so I wasn’t sure what to expect and felt a little nervous. Sebastián was kind and caring and made me feel that she was in good hands. Im grateful for the care and attention she received. Thank you Sebastián for taking such good care of her and making my first boarding experience such a positive one. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with you again😊

Joel was absolutely amazing with my dog, Zoe! From the very beginning, he took the time to do a meet and greet so she felt comfortable, which gave me peace of mind. He accommodated my last minute booking without hesitation and treated Zoe like she was his own. What I appreciated most were the regular updates and photos as it made being away from her so much easier. He kept her active with walks, played with her, and gave her so much love and attention. I could tell she was happy and well cared for the entire time. If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, caring, and truly goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Joel. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again! Thanks again Joel!

Bree and her two roommates (Emma will be taking over this account in September 2026, by my understanding, as Bree is travelling back home) are real animal lovers, who actually take caring for the furry ones entrusted to them seriously. They are soft spoken, kind and had a lot insightful comments about our cat Pudding that proved they took the time to get to know him. Pudding is usually anxious and develops digestive issues when he boards with strangers. This time, for the first time, he was relaxed and happy when we picked him back up and if anything seemed reluctant to leave. As a bonus, they are located a stone's throw from Atwater market, in a very well-kept, clean building with proper air conditioning - which can be a concern for some pets. I cannot recommend Bree and her roommates services enough. I only wish my wife and I had found them sooner.
Had my friend cancel taking care of my pet on me last minute and almost canceled my vacation but thought I would browse on Rover just in case and landed on Guillaume. Very proactive, sweet and patient pet caretaker, has been very understanding of my last minute requests and gave what felt like professional and premium care to my cat. Would highly and gladly recommend. Saw that his neighborhood was very dog friendly too so was happy to find the perfect place for my sister's dogs when she'll be visiting.

We trusted Sara with our babies , Lola and canela , for a full day, Sara has excellent communication skills she kept me on the loop the whole day , and my dogs liked her right after meeting , you can see her passion for dogs right away, for sure I would choose her again to take care of my babies once I I am back in Montreal , big thanks

Karine took such great care of my cat, Matilda. She sent me regular updates along with photos, which gave me real peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter, and I would happily book her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
