About: I’ve cared for dogs of different ages and personalities, including puppies and senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I always focus on making each pet feel safe, relaxed, and at home. What sets me apart is the level of attention and reassurance I provide. I send regular photo and video updates so you always know how your dog is doing and never feel worried while you’re away. Since I spend most of my time at home and there is usually someone around, your dog will never be left alone for long. This allows me to give consistent care, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I’m attentive to routines and happy to follow any specific instructions, including feeding schedules or special care needs. Whether your dog is playful, shy, or just loves to relax, I adjust to their personality and make sure they feel comfortable. ▫️ Flexible schedule 🕒 ▫️ I stay home most of the time 🏠 ▫️ Someone is always at home ▫️ Your dog won’t be left alone for long ▫️ Great for daycare & overnight stays 💛 ▫️ Care provided in my home 🏠 ▫️ Calm, clean & safe space 🔒 ▫️ No other pets — full attention ▫️ I follow your instructions carefully ▫️ Parks nearby for daily walks 🌳
“Having Ilya take care of our cat Chickpea for a few days was absolutely worth it. The experience from start to finish was top notch - Ilya is very responsive, accommodating, and clearly attuned to your pet’s care needs. Booking and reviewing Chickpea’s routine was super smooth, we received updates and pictures while we were gone, and we came back to a very happy little garbanzo bean. What more can you ask for? We would definitely trust Ilya with Chickpea’s care again in the future.”

“Celeste is definitely a cat lover! She took great care of my cat and was wonderful to work with! She sent daily updates, and shared lots of photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs, cats, and farm animals for over 10 years, so I know first-hand what animals need to feel safe and comfortable. Beyond daily walks and feeding routines, I’m comfortable bathing and brushing well-behaved pets. I enjoy getting to know each pet for their unique personality so that I can adapt my approach to keep them calm and happy. Right now my schedule is completely open. I’m available every day, mornings through evenings. I can offer drop-in visits, walks, and sittings without schedule confusion or other commitments. When I’m caring for a pet in their own home, my priority is keeping their world as normal as possible (same routines, same comfort). I follow owner instructions very closely, observe any changes in behaviour or appetite, and I’ll always communicate immediately if something seems off rather than waiting until pickup.
“Angélique est une personne douce et responsable, je me suis sentie immédiatement en confiance avec elle, pareil pour mes chats qui sont d’un tempérament plutôt sauvage avec les nouvelles personnes. Ils sont naturellement venus à sa rencontre dès les premiers jours. Ça a été pour nous une expérience parfaite à tous les points de vue.”

About: I've sat for dogs, cats, fish, and rabbits throughout my life. I am particularly used to caring for dogs, having raised two family dogs. Experienced with hard leash tuggers, puppies, senior dogs, training, playtime, and of course petting. My top priority is keeping your dog happy and safe. I'm currently available full time this summer. I'm flexible for any time or duration, weekdays or weekends. Let me know your needs and we can make it work. I'm careful to keep an eye on your pet even when they're resting. I am always respectful of my surroundings and try to leave things looking the same when I leave. I hope to build a great rapport with your dog and keep it fun for them.
“Irmak is thoughtful and caring. She is informative with her texting. She also helped with first aid on my dog. Although dog walking was new to her as we were her first client, she took on my powerful dog and had gained my confidence in her abilities :)”

“Hanieh was an excellent cat sitter. She took great care of Luna, playing with her and giving her a lot of affection. She clearly loves the babies. And she even stayed longer than expected on a few days.”

About: I have over 5 years of experience caring for pets, especially dogs and cats. I currently have a Maltese Poodle (Maltipoo) named Tokyo, and before him I had a Pomeranian named Minnie. I also care for a Golden Retriever named Nugget, a Toy Poodle named Boston, and 3 cats named Oyen, Olin, and Onnie. Taking care of pets has always been a big part of my daily life. I’m very hands-on with my pets — I walk them regularly, spend a lot of quality time with them, and make sure they are comfortable, well-fed, clean, and emotionally cared for. I truly love animals and naturally enjoy being around them. I treat pets like family members and always try to make them feel safe and loved. As an international student, being far away from my pets back home has been emotionally difficult for me. That’s one of the reasons I want to become a pet sitter, caring for animals here gives me comfort and allows me to share the same love and attention that I give to my own pets. I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. I’m currently a master’s student, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets throughout the week. My apartment is located near downtown, which makes it easy for me to take dogs on regular walks, potty breaks, and outdoor time. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I’m attentive, responsible, and happy to adjust to each pet’s needs and schedule. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I live in a clean, pet-friendly environment and pay close attention to each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets get enough exercise, playtime, food, water, and affection. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone, and I will care for them with the same love and attention I give to my own pets.
About: I’ve had dogs by my side my entire life and couldn't imagine it any other way. I currently have two socialized dogs who enjoy the company of others. Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to focus on your dog’s specific routine. Whether they want to join our pack for backyard play or just nap near my desk while I work, they’ll be in a safe, loving, and supervised environment. I work from home full-time, which means your dog will have constant companionship and a consistent routine. My schedule is very flexible, allowing for frequent potty breaks, backyard playtime, and mid-day walks. Because I’m already caring for my own two dogs throughout the day, adding a new friend into our daily rhythm is seamless. Your pet won't be left alone for long periods, as my "office" is right where the action is! Safety is my top priority. I live in a pet-friendly home with plenty of space for lounging and play. I have two friendly, socialized dogs of my own who are great at welcoming new guests. I believe in slow, supervised introductions to ensure everyone is comfortable. I am diligent about following your specific feeding and medication schedules, and I provide regular photo updates so you can see how much fun your pup is having. My goal is to provide a secure, "home-away-from-home" experience.

About: I've had dogs since I was born and I'm always down to meet a new furry friend! I've cared for, walked, bathed, fed, and played with dogs and cats since I was a child, and I'm now hoping to continue the work as a university student in Montreal. I'm a student with a light schedule and plenty of time to spend with your pups! Weekdays are flexible for me and my daily schedule is open to change. I know a lot about the needs of a dog and I'll always be thorough when taking care of them. Walks or indoors, your pet is my priority!

About: Im a teacher on summer holidays and would love to take care of your doggo ! I’ve always had a dog in my family and have naturally become everyone’s go-to dog sitter. While living in London, my flatmate was on Rover, and together we cared for over 10 different dogs of various sizes and personalities. I’m comfortable giving medication and attending vet appointments, as my own family dog is ill. I’ve taken dogs on public transport, bathed both small and large breeds, and truly love being around them. As a teacher, I finish work early, which allows me to dedicate quality time to the dogs in my care. I understand the responsibility of owning a dog, and while I can’t have one full-time right now, dog sitting is the perfect way for me to give them the love and attention they deserve. As a teacher, I finish work early, which gives me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to dedicate to the dogs in my care. Weekends are usually spent exploring the city on long walks with my boyfriend, and we love having a dog join us. We’re both active and enjoy running, so we’re happy to care for dogs who need extra exercise and stimulation. My boyfriend also works from home, which means weekday boarding is sometimes possible and dogs can enjoy extra company during the day.

I will always have flexibility to accommodate each pet’s individual needs. I provide loving pet care by following routines, ensuring feeding, walks, playtime, clean spaces, safety, and plenty of attention every day they are with me.

My dog Mika really enjoyed spending time with Lara! Her presence and care made Mika's time alone much easier and she was noticeably calmer when I came back home. Lara took the time to play and cuddle with Mika so she can spend her energy and just give her some good company. The whole experience was very smooth and stress free for me as well. I recommend Lara to anyone who wants their pet to be well taken care of in their absence

Brittany is the dream sitter for my Jacky! I couldn’t ask for anyone better. She comes to visit him twice a week when I’m at the office to keep him company and take him for walks. Brittany is reliable, always on time, responsive, and adapts very well to Jacky’s needs and little quirks. She has already built a wonderful bond with him. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly wonderful sitter for their pet! 🐾💕

Truly can't recommend Stephanie enough! I low key wan't to stop reviewing her because selfishly do not want her to be over booked so that we can't book her anymore hahaha. You'll be in amazing hands booking with her, she goes above and beyond all the time and is sooo gentle and patient and kind with my very senior boy! I will always be rebooking with her!

Merci beaucoup Isabelle!

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
Rover makes it easy to find sitters who are available during your working hours. To find sitters who fit your schedule, select which days of the week and the time slots you'd like a sitter to visit. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Montréal choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
